Personally I think he's a very talented entertainer. His bredth of work and scope have matured, I like him. He collects unusual things and is fascinated by altered perceptions. I really liked his experiments series, check out the one with the lucky dog, it brought a tear to my eye. His assassin one was excellent and is very relevant today re Manchurian candidates etc. I like him, I don't think he claims to be anything more than what he is, an entertainer. There's so much stuff to concern us today, I don't feel Darren Brown is on that list... N

If he's cointelpro or worse, it's hard to see, check this one out for his championing of the human spirit, he takes a regular jo and turns him into a hero, very uplifting stuff, that's how I measure entertainment... he uses stooges and hypnosis is half true in the sense that people are in a state of let's go along with in order for the show to go as planned. everyone needs a religion to hold on . he holds on to laws of physics and to psychology and tries to interpret all that he sees and does through those lenses . not true. this is a half truth. it's EXACTLY like modern medicine. exactly like vitaminins and cocaine and opium scenario. look we discovered a plant that does this and that. hey this little chemical is to blame for that effect. let's exctract it! and they extract it and the effect is somewhat similar but with serious side effects or not working at all like the whole plant. i feel very sorry for him because he could have become a very good spiritual person, a wizard, a truth seeker, a good researcher. but in his defence he tried green smoothies and also has a female friend who is into magic. so the battle is not lost completely. his health is . but what sort of a pathetic life is this where you job is to find new ways to lie to people? not very rewarding life i quess. to believe that people are lying all the time like he does that's a very bad place to be in. pisces are indeed champions of deep emotions and of deep truths. in science and music and art.

From the looks of it, Brown is very well versed in human psychology, body language, and neuro-linguistic programming, and he uses lots of very subtle tricks and observations that would require a pretty attentive level of consciousness.

That he chooses to try to explain this to everyone in a rational way makes sense, because otherwise he would not be taken half as seriously, would inevitably be the butt of ridicule and would probably have to fight to keep his television deals, even demonstrating the same level of skill. But I'm sure he is aware that for a lot of the stuff he does, which plays with peoples' conscious awareness, he knows how powerful and mysterious the subtleties involved are.

i think the same way too. that's the danger in it. he's a social predator. and he might be very deluded himself. i once read this .. never trust a magician especially the one who tells you how he does it. he might not be completly honest or he might be deluded himself. very dangerous to give away your power and convictions. if he wants to be believed he should tell everyone every single thing that he did and how. only then he can be trusted with his life opinions.
1 he is sick as the body goes... old face,no hair, surgery, and other small things
2 he has psychological phobias hismself also small .
but in the contest of that he advocates for normal medicine until death . he gave the example of a man who was a doctor that had cancer and he would rather die than try the "hoax" alternative therapies and to not give into that crap. and this is not a joke. this is a life and death decision which is a bad one. that doctor instead of trying to find solutions natural or otherwise wrote a book about the quacks and died proudly. and derren brown recommends that to people as a true example of what a person should do.
also from his perspective ... he did not actually said but people who experience problems of adaptation and of looking for answers are considered weak. better a certain death than an improbable whimpy success.

he's has relative religious perspective and he's everchanging.
in the first part of his life he was a true christian actually trying to convince other people about jesus.
he actually had problems with being gay. huge problems but with hismelf because he tried to change that. "rationally" i guess.
he was then a reborn atheist and he embraced "the laws of physics". now... he's an agnostic.

Basically the majority of the topics and understandings that people here on Avalon understand and discuss. What Derren says sounds very plausible and logical and perhaps the majority of people watching the interview in the general population will comfortably agree. It's easy to diminish the understanding of people's psychic abilities when you talk about the arena of psychic readings and mediumship as so much of it involves people who are not really that good at it or are charlatans, and certainly they use the reading of body language and general phrases as Derren explained.
This interview is just another means of subduing the masses who are starting to show an interest and wake up in my opinion.

He states that he has been through the spritual world and now he tries to intergrate normality (psychology) with what he saw. His observation was the people in the spiritual world don't have it good. they are unhappy and unhealthy.

He has done a lot to open peoples minds up to the power of the mind. I'm sure a sage would be capable of similar things but wouldn't do it. Derren is human with clear flaws but I don't think he is a bad guy at all. Most of the subjects he selects he does them huge life favours by helping then face and over come fears or changing their negative mind set.

I am not a fan of Derren Brown as I am an astrologer and he puts astrology down in the same boat as charletons and cheats. The guy I think gets most of his money from the cabal. Same can said of Smart guy Richard Dawkins. The Catholic church is another end of it saying more or less the same sort of things about astrology. Remember in the Nativity story it says that three WISE Men came from the east as they a saw a star in the sky. It doesn't say three charletons from the East came. There is more astrology in the bible than most people know. For example if in the New York Times there is a quarter column of astrology by comparing the amount of astrology in the bible to the New York Times there would be 3 and a half pages of it in this newspaper. A gypsy lady was going round the doors in my street selling table cloths many years ago. What she told me about my life was incredible. I never said a single word while she was talking and she was telling me what none of my closest friends knew about my life. I have been going to astrology meetings for years discussing methods and NEVER do we speak of fooling anyone. Only trying to understand our techniques of reading a chart. They are paid schills Derren and Richard Dawkins. End of my rant.

People go to see magicians because they want to be fooled and tricked... But how many people know that they're being conned all the time by the media and the movies?
