One member I know personally has at least twice recently moved objects at a distance, and also spontaneously teleported.

I'm quite sure that others have such abilities - and would never let this be known publicly.

Hey.. it's just a bit of fun , Ankh... Have you ever played a game with a friend, guess a number between 1 and 10 and see how many times it takes you to guess it right ?

I've said it twice now, I don't expect anyone to publish their results. But if you're into that kind of thing like I am, then I think you would find this test fascinating. If you want to talk about that, great, if not, I totally understand..hence my initial post is a warning for people not to post their answers.

I'm more interested to hear from the people who score close to 10 than those who score close to 20.

Even someone who scores 16 would need to repeat that over and again in order to prove anything remarkable.

But I love the fact it's so frutstrating when you want the picture to go one way.. and it doesn't.

Just like life, huh ?? Ever find that ???

As pure coincidence I got 15/20 and the fastest was 2.81 seconds... One took 49 seconds to complete... but the mean time was 11 seconds.

I prefered the fruit :) it's a healthier image than the toxic chlorine filled pool... Although the pool could have had Ozone instead so maybe I need to use that mental image next time :)

That's interesting that you chose the fruit. I found it much easier to imagine the landscape stretching on 'behind' the broken image of the fruit.
The color as well was much more monochrome and I think that simplified things for me.

I did, after a few tries, start using the fruit and that's when my lucky streak broke!

I fail to see how that test might be affected by any mental power at all. My best guess is that it is meant that the random number generator that decides the source image of each block might be affected by the intent of the watcher. However, this fails to take into account the nature of computers. Digital computers have been designed to work in a deterministic way regardless the analogic noise of the physical universe. It is quite a feat. I believe that webpage runs in the browser and thus it is not using any special source of true random numbers but a so called 'pseudo random number generator'. That kind of algorithms are able to generate a sequence of numbers that look random but they really depend on the initial conditions that are usually set using the current time or some kind of input from the user. Since the process is not random at all (apart from the moment when the user decides to press start) and the machine is deterministic there is no way I can see for any kind of force to affect the outcome. There are simply no choice points other than the initial click.

I can see, however, how an experiment like this that uses a true source of random numbers could be of some interest, but it would require some special hardware.

Random chance would suggest that people would succeed (or choose the winner lol) half the time, yet I performed that test 40 times, 20 times with each picture. Each time I chose fruit, I got water, each time I chose water, I got fruit... it's surely as unlikely to get 100% wrong as 100% right, considering the 50/50 pure-luck chance, so I wonder if my own mind is working against me? If anybody's could, it would be mind lol

I've just done the same test again a few times, and it seems everytime I imagine water, the feel it, the smell of it, the taste, etc., I get water, and everytime I imagine fruit I get fruit... except when I try to influence the picture, and then it goes wrong
