Full Moon in Scorpio: Embracing The Intensity
We will be having an exact Full Moon in on Monday, May 4th at 3:42am Universal Time (11:42pm on May 3rd in Eastern Time). Full Moons are the peak of the Moon cycle, as this is when the light of the Sun completely fills the Moon and marks the beginning of the following 2 weeks when the light starts to go away, which is known as the “waning phase.” Symbolically, because this is when the light begins to recede, this represents time of “release.” Full Moons are generally the most intense time of the Moon cycle and are also a very lively time.

The events and circumstances that occur in our lives around the Full Moon usually challenge us. The Sun and Moon are opposite each other, so whatever signs they are in will most strongly influence the themes. Just like the New Moon, you can also have intentions for the Full Moon. The only difference is that for this phase your intentions should be associated with some sort of release, but only if need be. If you have been feeling that there is something to let go of, then use this period for the most powerful effect. You can also use Full Moons to begin a cleanse or detox. Sometimes the events and circumstances that happen to us around the Full Moon will create an awareness within ourselves that we need to change or let go of something. However, this is not always the case. Some Full Moon circumstances might just help you bring something to your awareness to help you make better choices.

Ego Needs (Sun in Taurus) vs. Emotional Needs (Moon in Scorpio)
latest-black-ink-tribal-scorpio-tattoo-designDuring this Full Moon we will be experiencing a pull between Taurus and Scorpio themes. The Sun in Taurus will signify our ego needs during this Full Moon, and the Moon in Scorpio will signify our emotional needs. Taurus is practical, sensual, and thorough. It wants everything to be beautiful. Its energy can also be very slow, stubborn, and more oriented around the self. This sign can get very wrapped up in its own values, self worth, money, and resources. Taurus likes to accumulate things and even overindulge in anything that arouses the senses, including food. These Taurus themes are not always bad, however, its opposite sign where the Moon will be challenges these.

Scorpio is about shared values and resources, sexual intimacy, and emotional depth. While Venus-ruled Taurus likes everything beautiful, the Mars and Pluto ruled Scorpio is not afraid to delve into the darkness. Scorpio is a complex, mysterious, and intense sign. Through this intensity it has tremendous power to facilitate powerful transformations. Metaphorically speaking, Scorpio likes to “take out the trash,” especially when there is a Full Moon in this sign. At its worst, the Scorpio intensity can manifest itself in a way that is obsessive, secretive, and manipulative.
Jupiter in Leo in a T-Square with this Full Moon.
At its best, Jupiter is the planet of expansion, optimism, luck, spiritual growth and beliefs. At its worst, it is over-idealistic, self-righteous, and judgmental. It can also just simply “over-do” things. It is in Leo, the sign of fun, playfulness, creativity, love, romance, and self-expression, but Leo is also the sign of excessive pride and ego. Among lovers, Jupiter in this sign can also either amplify (and overdo) the sensual and sexual nature of the Taurus – Scorpio polarity, or it could also create circumstances where it pushes a couple to grow and expand in their intimacy with each other by embracing new viewpoints around love, sex, and romance. This configuration can even create conflicts around over-indulgence and/or excessive spending of shared resources and money.

During this Full Moon, some people may find themselves judging others regarding their values or being judged in regards to their own values. The key to achieving the positive expansiveness of Jupiter lies in looking at everything objectively and with a sense of detachment. Our Ego needs and Emotional needs are in conflict here (either within ourselves and/or among others), so by embracing an objective viewpoint, we can move forward with decisions and actions that benefit all and help us to grow.
Mercury will be strong during this Full Moon as it is what is known as the “final dispositor”. It is in its own sign of Gemini, which brings a strong emphasis around communication. It is opposite Saturn retrograde in Sagittarius, which represents a pull between what we think and what is reflective of our inner truth. It can also be a time where new information, thoughts, and ideas can be instrumental in helping us to restructure our beliefs.

Things You Can Do for This Full Moon
If you feel that there is something that you need to release from your life, set that intention after the Moon starts to wane, up to 24 hours after 3:42am (Universal Time). If you are health enthusiast, anytime during the 3.5 days following the Full Moon is a good time to start a cleanse or detox. Scorpio rules the bowels and excretory system, and Spring time in the Northern Hemisphere is also great for cleansing as well. Any type of cleanse or detox that helps you to release toxins and waste accumulated from food would work best. Colon hydrotherapy, enemas, and other colon cleanses would also be good. If you are in a relationship, you might want to communicate anything regarding your intimacy with each other to help you grow, transform, and expand in your love and sexuality.

Thanks rgray222

I like the graphics in your post.

Sounds like it will be a very deep transcending month of May.

I love to walk on the beaches when the tides are extreme during the full moons and when they're low look for treasures of the sea -perfect for the moon in Scorpio.

Tho life is an interplay of light and dark,
From sunny days to Noah's ark,
I will use my mind, my strength and my will,
To manifest my soul, It's truth to fulfill.

and to add a bit of tradition
Most Native American Indians call the full moon of
May the Flower Moon

I'm just wondering if people like myself see the moon as an artificial satellite (an ET base/s at that)?

I wonder about all the mysticism - and no doubt there is a lot - ancient even. However haven't we (the moon is artificial believers) crossed the threshold of what controls us (or effects us)?

So with little 'proof' I present we start living a new paradigm of "KNOWING" - thus eliminating the chains of the past, such as the 'moon myths' - because if you know what's up there - and what that thing is about - we shouldn't give anything to 'it'. I used to believe blowing the moon up would have been a terrible thing, but ever since I learned what it was - I think that might have been a fair idea considering what most contacts have described it as and its usage.

It is horrific.
