Two gunmen have been shot dead after opening fire outside a conference on
cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad in a suburb of Dallas, US police say.They drove
to the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland as the event was ending, and began
shooting at a security officer before being killed by police.The bomb squad has been
called in to search their vehicle for explosives.The event, organised by a group
critical of Islam, included a contest for drawings of the Prophet.

Security had been high around the centre because of the controversial nature of the
event, which included Dutch anti-Islamic politician Geert Wilders as one of the
keynote speakers.But Garland Police Department spokesman Joe Harn said there
had been no credible threats in advance, and it was not immediately clear if the
shootings were related to the event.

About 200 people had been attending the Muhammad Art Exhibit when, shortly
before it was due to finish at 1900 (0000 GMT), they were told of a shooting
outside.One woman at the conference was leaving the building when she said she
heard "quick shots" from what she thought was a machine gun.

"Police started running everywhere, they quickly told us to run as fast as we could
to get back in the building," she said.

They and people from nearby buildings were later evacuated.

Garland Mayor Douglas Athas told CNN that the "first suspect was shot
immediately". "The second suspect was wounded and reached for his backpack. He
was shot again."

Security officer Bruce Joiner was taken to hospital after being shot in the ankle, but
was later released.Local police said they have not been yet able to identify the
gunmen, whose bodies remain by the car while the bomb squad inspects it for
explosives.Joe Harn, a spokesman for the Garland Police Department, warned that
the inspection is "a very slow, tedious operation that goes on".

Sunday's event was organised by the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI),
which is run by controversial blogger and activist Pamela Geller and is listed as an
anti-Muslim group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, a civil rights group.

The conference included a contest that offered a $10,000 (£6,600) prize for a
cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad.

Depictions of the Prophet Muhammad are offensive to many Muslims.

There were widespread protests in 2006 when the Danish newspaper Jyllands-
Posten published cartoons satirising the Prophet Muhammad. In January this year,
12 people were murdered by two Islamist gunmen at the French magazine Charlie
Hebdo, which had published similar cartoons.And a gathering of free speech
activists in the Danish capital Copenhagen was targeted by a gunman in February,
killing a film director.In a text message to Dutch media, Geert Wilders said
Sunday's incident had been an "unacceptable" attack on freedom of expression.

"The only fitting response is: to carry on. But it's not easy," he told Dutch public broadcaster NOS.

In a statement on its Facebook page, the AFDI called it a "war on free speech".

The Curtis Culwell Center - a school-district owned building for public events - was
at the centre of controversy in January, after it was picketed by protesters angry
that it was hosting an event to raise funds for the building of a local Islamic centre.

‘For a number of years now, some people have been warning us that the government
has plans to impose martial law in the United States and that they are simply waiting
for an excuse to do so.

The people who believe in such plans are generally labeled as “conspiracy theorists,”
but several recent incidents lend some credence to their predictions.

For example, on April 11, 2015, residents of Ontario, California, were stunned by the
sight of National Guard troops marching in formation through the streets of their city
in an exercise the Guard claims was merely “endurance training” and part of what
they term a “community outreach” program.’

Nonetheless, local citizens were alarmed by the presence of armed troops in their community,
and a video of the maneuvers has gone viral, leaving many wondering what exactly is really going on.

A local CBS News station interviewed Ontario residents who were concerned and skeptical
about the real meaning behind the march through the streets of their community.

Ontario resident Vicente Martinez said: "I believe that they're slowly but surely making their
way into martial law. They're trying to fool us by telling us it's a training and then when it
actually does take place and actually does happen, there's nothing you're going to be able
to do about it."

Although it is not illegal for the National Guard to conduct exercises off-base, many people
find it highly unusual for them to march through the streets of a residential area. One can't
help but wonder just how this operation classifies as "community outreach."

The Ontario incident might be written off as an innocent training exercise by some, but it's
not the only recent occurrence that has begun to make even those who don't normally
embrace conspiracy theories sit up and take notice.

CNN News recently obtained documents through the Freedom of Information Act that reveal
the National Guard's use of militaristic language in their internal mission briefing communications
during their intervention in the Ferguson, Missouri, riots last year.

The documents include the use of words such as "enemy" and "adversaries" when referring to
protesters involved in the scenes of unrest in the city after the shooting of Michael Brown by
Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson.

National Guard spokesmen were quick to point out that the documents were part of a "generic military
planning format" and that the language was modified in later communications to sound less militarized.

Nevertheless, the fact that the Guard was using "generic military planning" formats in the first place
might in itself be questionable to some observers.

Yet another controversy is brewing involving a set of military exercises that are soon to be staged in
civilian areas within the United States. The code name for the exercises, which will run will run from
July 15 through September 15, 2015, is "Jade Helm 15." Many are convinced that the operations have
a sinister purpose; one theory is that they are being conducted as a "dry run" in preparation for when
the U.S. government declares martial law.

Jade Helm 15, according to the U.S. Army Special Operations Command, is "a challenging eight-week
joint military and interagency (IA) Unconventional Warfare (UW) exercise conducted throughout Texas,
New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah and Colorado."

When viewed separately, any one of these three stories might seem to be relatively innocuous parts of
routine National Guard and U.S. military operational procedures.

However, it's easy to understand why many people are becoming increasingly concerned that the U.S.
government is planning something big for its citizens or fears that the populace might rise up against
those in power.

One increasingly popular theory is that the country might be on the verge of a financial collapse, which
could lead to a societal collapse and give the government an excuse to impose martial law.

Whatever the truth may be, it's no wonder that many of us are becoming increasingly wary of our
leaders and what could be in store for us in the not-so-distant future.

One of the suspects in the shooting in Garland, Texas, late Sunday has been
identified as Elton Simpson, an Arizona man who was previously the subject of a
terror investigation, according to a senior FBI official.

Overnight and today FBI agents and a bomb squad were at Simpson's home in an
apartment complex in north Phoenix where a robot is believed to be conducting an
initial search of the apartment.

Officials believe Simpson is the person who sent out several Twitter messages prior
to the attack on Sunday, in the last one using the hashtag #TexasAttack about half
an hour before the shooting.Local police said two suspects opened fire late Sunday
outside a community center in Garland that was hosting an event displaying
cartoons of the prophet Muhammad. One unarmed security guard was injured, but
other security officers managed to fatally shoot both attackers before anyone else
was hurt or killed.

John Iannarelli, Assistant Special Agent in Charge FBI’s Phoenix office, said
authorities in Texas traced both suspects to the Phoenix apartment and that the
two appear to have been roommates. The second suspect has not been publicly identified.

Followers of ISIS had been sending messages about the event in Texas for more
than a week, calling for attacks. One referenced January's Charlie Hebdo massacre
in France and said it was time for "brothers" in the United States to do their part.

Simpson was well known to the FBI. Five years ago he was convicted for lying to
federal agents about his plans to travel to Africa where investigators alleged he
planned to join a terror group.

The investigation into Simpson reached back to July 2007, when he was recorded
saying of fighting with Islamists, “I know we can do it, man. But you got to find the
right people that… Gotta have connects.”

Despite that and other recordings, a judge ruled the government did not adequately
prove Simpson was going to join a terror group and Simpson was sentenced to
three years’ probation for lying to investigators.

Kristina Sitton, who represented Simpson in the 2010 trial, said her former client
had been on a no-fly list and that the FBI had attempted to get Simpson to
cooperate with them, even after his conviction. She saw him, she said,
as "harmless."

"He grew up the most normal guy. Just a normal high school guy... Converting to
Islam seemed like a good thing for him. He had been going down a bad path and
then he found Islam," Sitton told ABC News. "He never struck me as someone who
would do this sort of thing. I'm not a bleeding heart, I'm a Republican. I've seen
some pretty bad guys and he seemed pretty normal."

off several controlled explosions around the vehicle, where they found additional ammunition
but no bombs, Mr Harn said.While he did not publicly name the men, he said that officials were

Barack Obama was being kept informed of developments, adding: "There is no act of expression,
even if it's offensive, that justifies an act of violence."There were widespread protests in 2006
when the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten published cartoons satirising the Prophet Muhammad.
In January this year, 12 people were murdered by two Islamist gunmen at the French magazine
Charlie Hebdo, which had published similar cartoons.And a gathering of free speech activists in
the Danish capital Copenhagen was targeted by a gunman in February, killing a film director.

We’re told that at 7pm CDT local time, two male suspects were shot and killed on Sunday outside
of an event at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas, a suburb of Dallas, an incident which
lasted exactly 15 seconds.

The US media were quick to label this as a “terrorist” incident. In addition to the two dead “terror suspects”,
an unarmed security guard, Garland Independent School District employee Bruce Joiner, is said to have been
wounded during an ‘exchange of gunfire’ but it’s not yet clear whose gunfire actually hit him.’

FREE SPEECH EVENT’ OR POLITICAL PROVOCATEURING?

The controversial “Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest” was organized by the American Freedom
Defense Initiative, led by anti-Islamic media personality Pamela Geller, and featured far-right Dutch politician
Geert Wilders, as a keynote speaker. Geller claims to have purposely chosen the venue following the Council
on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) gathering who held a “Stand with the Prophet” conference in late January
2015 after the Charlie Hebdo shootings.

Geller told FOX News after the incident, the cost of her event was “upwards of $50,000″.

Geller claims that the event was “in support of free speech,” evoking a cry for “solidarity with Charlie Hebdo”,
and promised $10,000 for the best Mohammed cartoon. It’s also believed that none of the artists who ‘mailed-in’
their artwork were actually in attendance at Geller’s event. Various internet posts and provocations have been
littering the blogosphere for the last 3 months, in an effort to set the stage for Sunday’s manufactured incident.


Staged Drill, False Flag

Incredibly, almost immediately after the suspects drove up to the front of the building and started shooting at
a security officer, tweets that seemed to identify them started to surface. The #texasattack hashtag quickly
became a trending topic on Twitter.

“Twitter users pointed to a tweet that came out just before the attack. The tweet from @atawaakul, or
“Shariah is Light” said, “The bro with me and myself have given bay-ah to Amirul Mu’mineen. May Allah
accept us as mujahideen. Make dua” with the hashtag #texasattack. That account has been suspended”,
reported USA Today on Sunday (see tweet above).

The media are using this single ‘tweet’ as the case-closer already, calling it “a digital trail”. Excitingly, FOX
News referred to this as, “A chilling tweet that could help investigators crack this case.” Other media
operatives like CNN’s Ben Ferguson, proceeded to drive home the narrative that this was an Islamic “terror” attack.

“An account belonging to someone calling himself Abu Hussain Al Britani, at @_abuHu55ain, tweeted,
“Allahu Akbar!!!!! 2 of our brothers just opened fire at the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) art exhibition in
texas! #texasattack.” The account was also suspended.”

Last night in the Dallas suburb of Garland, Texas, at Pam Geller’s “Muhammad Art Exhibit and
Cartoon Contest”, two alleged “gunmen” were shot and killed by a Special Ops paramilitary
‘SWAT’ unit hired by the city of Garland to provide security for the controversial event.


‘It’s now been revealed that “gunman”, Elton Simpson, was already under surveillance by
the FBI and was even the subject of a terror investigation. More importantly, we can also
confirm Simpson was being handled by an FBI informant.

Court papers filed in Arizona name the FBI undercover informant as Mr. Daba Deng, a
Kenyan and who, from 2007, was paid $132,000 by the FBI to “become friends with Mr.
Simpson”, and who appears to have groomed Simpson through a local mosque, and
helped to develop Simpson’s ideas about “jihad”.

Deng also helped to catch ‘Islamic convert’ Simpson on tape saying he wanted to travel
to Somalia to join the terror orgaization al Shabaab. That recording was made on May 29,
2009, which shows Simpson telling his handler Deng, “It’s time to go to Somalia, brother…
we gonna make it to the battlefield… it’s time to roll.” This recording was the basis for
Simpson’s later FBI arrest, after which time he was ‘let off’ with 3 years probation.’

‘Saudi Arabia has beheaded a citizen convicted of drug trafficking, bringing to 79
the number of executions in the kingdom so far this year.

The Saudi Interior Ministry said in a statement carried by the official Saudi Press
Agency that the man known as Hussein al-Omairi was beheaded on Wednesday in
the northwestern region of Tabuk.

The man was reportedly found guilty of smuggling amphetamines.’

‘Following the Garland shooting last week, anti-Islam activist Pamela Geller has
been in the media portraying herself as an advocate of free speech and tolerance.
But even the French satirical magazine Charlie Hedbo, which has long pushed the
limits of speech with its crude satirical drawings mocking Muhammed, among other
topics, is distancing itself, saying that she is “obsessed with Islam.”

Here are five reasons why Geller isn’t just another free speech activist ,and why
even biting political satirists want nothing to do with her:’

She Wants To Ban All Muslim Immigration: Geller's organization the American
Freedom Defense Initiative has published a platform that, among other
things, “calls for an immediate halt of immigration by Muslims into nations that do
not currently have a Muslim majority population.”

2.She Rationalized Norwegian Terrorist Anders Breivik's Violence: After Norway's
terror attack, it was discovered that the attacker was a fan of Geller's work. She
herself sought to rationalize his violence, posting a picture of a youth camp in
Norway and writing that “the faces...are more MIddle [sic] Eastern or mixed that
pure Norwegian” – recall that Breivik's greatest grievance was that his country was
letting in too many Muslim immigrants.

3.She Said Building A Mosque In New York City Was Like Another 9/11 Attack: “The
Ground Zero Mosque is the second wave of the 9/11 attack,” she provocatively claimed.

4.She Has A Bizarre Theory Of Who Obama's Parents Really Are: Geller has
speculated that President Obama's true father is Malcolm X.

5.She Has Launched A Bitter Campaign To Divide American Jews And Muslims: For
years, Geller has paid for bus ad campaigns claiming that Muslims are ordered by
their faith to kill Jews. This year, the ads drew so much fire that New York City
announced that it would be disallowing all political ads in the future.

Geller has a right to her own free, deeply offensive and divisive speech, but it
should be clear that she is not really a believer in freedom for others, particularly if
they are Muslim.
