View Full Version : How did you end up as a Project Avalon member?

Was it from searching or by accident or recommended by a friend...or, like me, one thing led to another and here I am.
"It all began" as Ted Knight used to say on the Mary Tyler show or was the Lou Grant show and start into a revery and had to be stopped or he'd go on forever.
It all began with Edgar Cayce which led to David Wilcock which led to Project Camelot and on to Project Avalon with many twists and turns in between. Now you know I'm an old soul
and have been around for a long time.
What's your story? Please share!!!!!!!!!!:beer::Music:

Mine started with the search for truth and the experiences I have experienced in life. Edgar Casey was where I started and I also ended up here in hopes of finding answers.

i was researching the david icke material and then found the project camelot - david icke interview on youtube, then i watched like 30hours of videos in a few days and it was some years later i felt that PA would be the right place for me.
My tale is pretty simple. I Google'd "spiritual forum" after my experience as a last ditch effort to find something more. Didn't find much at the time from ATS and such. I was still bumbling around GLP, getting frustrated with all those folks.

9/11 was the starting point for me. That led me to Alex Jones and a few others. Finally i stumbled upon PC in 2010 then that led me here. My journey has taken me on many twists and turns but has been worth it.

A life long feeling that everything was not as it seemed and a lot of things I was being told made no sense.
Time spent living and travelling in the Middle East, Europe, USA, South Africa, the book Holy Blood/Holy Grail, Timothy Goode's books, David Icke's The Biggest Secret, 911, Project Camelot from the beginning, visiting Project Avalon semi regularly eventually applying to be a member and being accepted.
This is the only forum I have ever joined and find it invaluable

I took to the internet as though it had been absent from my life for decades - it seemed natural to me. I was searching everywhere I could for 'real evidence', for the genuine story behind our world, UFO's, alternative science - and then i stumbled on Project Camelot one day, I was hooked, my wife used to roll her eyes as that intro music rang out of my headphones :) And from there of course it was a natural progression to join up on this jolly hay ride - my application was accepted and here I am 5 years later still cherry picking and commenting - sifting among the fragments of the story, still piecing things together.
I started to look for similar sightings of UFOs to the one I witnessed. After some time I found PC videos and here I'm:)
i think through a video on youtube, if i remember correctly

Simple but not so simple. I go where the highest truth and like minded folks can be found. It was inevitable that I would find this place. I am only surprised I had not found it before I did. I guess I wasn't ready. Still wonder sometimes if I am. ;)

Funny, I was thinking about the bolded part above just yesterday, thinking that the internet to us living in this incarnation in physical vehicles is probably the closest thing we have to accessing that infinite "library" of knowing and understanding that we have access to when not constrainted in this incarnation (and which some are able to access via meditation, OBE, etc)... that thought yesterday led me to realizing this is why children always inevitably have a point in their development where they seem to have a "lightbulb moment" when they begin to believe that their parent is the physical equivalent of this infinite database of information, and they suddenly get excited and begin asking us about EVERYTHING, thinking we have all the answers. We are born here trapped inside of limited bodies, unable to communicate telepathically as we are accustomed to, unable to access telekinesis as we are accustomed to, and unable to access that infinite library in the sky, so to speak... as we learn to use our bodies and our voices we begin to believe we have to just rely on ourselves, so when we realize we can query our parents and get answers we get excited and think AHA! This is what I've been missing!... of course all too soon we realize they are not that infinite database we are used to, and as our conditioning in this incarnation continues we begin to forget everything... some of us sooner than others....
Sorry, not sure where that ramble came from.. but it was inspired by your post, anyway!

Oh. As for how *I* came to be at Project Avalon... I have done psychic work on missing persons cases for years now. I was working on William Tyrrell's case and did a google search one morning to see if any new news was released overnight, since he went missing in Australia and I am in the USA - news comes out during our night-time due to the time difference. Despite having searched google many times for information on this poor missing child and having NEVER seen any search results for Project Avalon, that particular day a thread about William from PA was near the top of my results. I read it and then read some more things here on PA, and instantly recognized that this is where I've needed to be for a long time now. Wandering is great but home and family are even better, IMO. It's so nice to finally find you all in this incarnation.. I was beginning to feel quite lost.

Edgar Casey via Project Camelot written interviews via Bill and Kerry's video interviews- The feeling that both of them were true and genuine and what they have presented and created convinced me this was a ride of a lifetime I wanted to be on and continue to follow, embrace, process and spread the energy. Very cool Avalon worldwide family we have built here to debate ideas/topics and educate one another and assist when needed. It's what we are here for , to grow, assist, and smile as much as possible feeling the love all along the way-what a ride its been so far! :)

I have always felt "different", not special, just different.
Finding people of like mind has always been difficult for me, people who could understand, or at least not ridicule me for, thinking outside the box.
I don't feel isolated , or insulated (lol), here.

I found Avalon because John Lamb Lash threatened me. A few weeks after he made the threat, I stumbled upon workingactor's Kalika War Party thread and Bill's post there. I waited for weeks to apply for membership because I wasn't sure what to do...I wasn't sure if I should tell anyone about the threat, I mean...but eventually I could not stand it anymore and I simply had to get in touch with Avalon, because Bill...without knowing me or anything about my situation with JLL...confirmed everything I had come to learn about what JLL is like behind the various masks he wears, and I wanted him (Bill) to know it.

Many years ago Utah Phillips said "The Earth is not dying, it is being killed, and the people killing it have names and addresses"
In any event, I live on a planet that is dying, and I'm simply looking everywhere to ... to try to stop it.
So far, nowhere I've looked has produced any results, and this is just, to me, "another place to look"

I had a good University education, read educational books and only watch educational TV - clearly a product of rational, educated Western Civilization. Then weird stuff started to happen started with alternative healing and culminating with a UFO citing and a rather bizarre synchronicity, and I decided to open myself up to the more "woo-woo" way of looking at the universe. I didn't want to have real face to face contact with "those people" but the internet allowed me, from a distance, to see how other people would look at the world. My google searches began to bring me to Avalon threads, and as I read more and more, I decided I had something to say about these matter too, and if I wanted, I would have to become an Avalon member
I was a member on the Alien UFOs forum after witnessing an amazing sight, the only reason I signed up was from a quick google search about the subject matter and an application process to that forum in order to see if anyone else had witnessed what I did and also to hear peoples opinions on my experience. I was then browsing through a certain thread on that forum and someone mentioned that they were an Avalonian (referring to this very forum); the term 'Avalonian' ticked something within me that urged me to search, find and sign up. Alas, here I am today over half a year later.
P.s. If your looking for more responses similar to this thread, here is a thread that I made a bit since ago and it has many detailed and interesting responses http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?75130-How-did-you-find-Project-Avalon

The short version is I typed in UFO's on our first PC around 2006 and Camelot came
up among the general traffic and for some reason , maybe living in Somerset
with the Arthurian links I was drawn to it and the rest is.............
http://www.ufomafia.com/pics/picture-of-google-ufo.jpg
One of the first sites I clicked on was project Camelot , I cannot remember
the first interview I watched , but it was one of the first Bill and Kerry published.
It was pure synchrinicity for we just had a pc for the first time , there were several
interviews published one after another , and the first time I watched the first
John Lear interview , some of his claims made me think this is getting silly , but
the further down the rabbit hole I went over the last decade . John Lear
although still contraversial has got my respect and who knows ?? ..LOL

I was dancing with a guy on second life and we were hitting it off so I asked him if you did facebook so we could stay in touch. He said he belonged to PA so I googled it and found this site. I usually have trouble with most social networks and forums but found myself comfortable in this one.

I started off in 2005 wondering why the christian church was asking for my money. That led to me looking into ghosts for 2 years, than onto spiritual networking sites, than onto PC and others, too many to remember. 100s of hours of research and than Facebook. After facebooking for 2 years I had enough. Logged off for life and googled spiritual teachers. Straight to PA....Been here for 2 months :)
Been here wat too long to remember the exact instant I found PC when Bill was there. May have been 2006 or so.
Glad I've been here though.

One day long ago I got a call from the Aviary and John Alexander asked me if I wanted to troll Avalon, since he said that Avalon was becoming quite a voice in the alternative media and was bringing to light too many things that used to be hidden, and I axed him what I had to do and how much would I get paid? He said, just be disruptive, controversial, questioning, joking, and just generally distract posters from what is really going on, and we'll give you 100K a year.
I thought, geez, I can do that, sit around in my mom's basement with nothing but a couch and a computer, drink energy drinks and order take-in fast food, smoke cigarettes and get paid, and I don't have to leave the house or take a shower? Here's a picture of my desk, and as you can see, its worked out pretty good.

I believe there are No coincidences in life! We all found ourselves here for a reason!
My story is like so many others who have posted already. We all have a little piece of
the puzzle. We are also here to listen and learn and give support when needed!
I believe this place called out to me. It is a true bastion of free and open ideas being
exchanged. We all may not agree sometimes but Bill and crew are very flexible and have
bent over back words to try and keep people here, even when they didn't deserve it.
I think Bill and crew are fantastic! Although I don't always agree with their decisions
I don't have too. Bill is a True Jedi ( He doesn't deal in absolutes ) Except he and crew
does command respect and deservedly so! Small price to pay to be in a place like this
IMO.

I was on EP (Experience Project) and I had a Story about noticing Weather Phenomena as to the clouds came less in the Day Time and More during the Night Time. Noticing more heavier rain at night and less during the Day Time Hours here in Western Washington. I believe it was back in June 2013. I got a response to some links here on H.A.A.R.P. and looked at them. Then notice what this site was and was thinking about how I was dreading EP and wanted another site to go to. Plus where I could get more of what I think and what others are saying about "Ancient Aliens" information, cause that show was convincing me it was half true. I don't agree with everything, but at least the show of people look into things and at times the General Science likes to be "Censoring" all the good stuff from Us. Leaving everything from (?) "We Don't Know Yet" (So much for what could be interesting History?) (With our Science Elites?) I don't buy into our Ancestries of Religions. But I think much of it has half "Truth's" being used for "Religions" that wanted their Culture to stay Loyal to their Culture by it and Control Humanity by it. While all the "Ancient Truth's" to me is really trying to be "Censored" and "Keep it all from Us All". Something is beyond just our own Evolution and what matches with ancient ruin sites all over this planet. That never to me has satisfying answers for them. This Site looked like what I was interested in and So I tried to Join. I struggle to do much, cause much here still goes over my head and I can't keep up with so much reading. Back then I had dial up and wasn't able to view videos. Last year I finally got me High Speed Internet and now can see videos. But? I am still juggling around. I am way slow in gathering all this information yet.

My trusted sources before 2011. Kryon, Drunvalo, Armin Risi. Whenever I came across NewWorldOrder / Ufo / Extraterrestrial issues I considered it so obviously real and true but never went into detail. One day I 'accidentally' stumbeld upon the word Elenin (while researching sth. different). Never heard of it. The Camelot interview about Comet Elenin led to Jim Humble and from that moment on straight through the Camelot video library. Like you all I was deeply impressed by Bill and Kerry's openmindedness and communication style. Husband and I spent nights on watching and discussing, but we missed the split-up and the creation of Avalon.
Another day PA Community Forum appeared on the screen 'accidentally' again. I visited the site on a regular basis but could not do anything with it. Totally unfamiliar with the US alternative media, the names and with only rudimentary active language skills, I tried to decipher and to decode the lines announcing New Posts. Was so drawn to it and felt connected to the field without understanding a word. No way, until one another day the words 'Here and Now . . .' popped up.
That one I understood. Heaving read the first post, the desire to share my own Here and Now and the decision to apply for membership and choosing my name was a thing of 2 seconds. Two weeks later my job was reduced to part-time and out of the blue I was offered to attend an English Course for 10 weeks (20 hours a week) that costs me nothing.
Stumbeld into this like The Fool (Tarot) and I'm amazed every day again.
"I dream'd in a dream, I saw a city invincible to the attacks of the whole of the rest of the earth; I dream'd that was the new City of Friends; Nothing was greater there than the quality of robust love - it led the rest; It was seen every hour in the actions of the men of that city, And in all their looks and words." I read "Trance-Formation Of America" by Cathy O'Brien simply because I'm a pig. Then I read it again and took notes and spent some time looking up all the places and events described in the book. A fantastic tale, to say the least, it no longer matters to me whether it's "true" or not; first I had to understand that my government was lying to me, then I had to understand why my government was lying to me. That led me to Camelot, Wes Penre, and Avalon. Prior to 2011 I was as duped as everybody else.

Well I was lookin up 9/11 false flag videos on YouTube the videos never really gave me the entire story but I still knew it was more to it then what the government was telling us I was 14 at the time and then I read a comment on YouTube that opened my world up to something new entirely. It spoke about the illuminati and how they sometimes make us think what they want us to think this comment felt like the truth I had been waiting for. He explained to me 6 protons 6 electrons 6 neutrons was man/ beast and that they make us fear that through religion for what? I did a google search and ended up on this thread http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?30763-6-Electrons-6-Protons-6-Neutrons-The-Secret-Of-Man-Beast this is where my intelligence started to increase exponentially. You will now find that the video does not exist anymore... When I first viewed it I thought it was the answer.
I started to get interested in the various ET races and the stories from people who had been in contact with them. So it didn't take long for me to come across Simon Parkes and his interview with Bill Ryan for the Project Avalon forum. And so here I am :)
Applying to the forum was the first thing I did after having watched that interview.
I had an experience during meditation where I stopped breathing and saw flashes of light. I goggled about this experience and got linked to an avalon thread. I decided to apply and I'm still here after a year.
There was a fascinating juxtaposition between this calm and collected and rational and sophisticated Brit and the weird and seemingly irrational things he was talking about that drew me in. Here was someone I could get behind.
I could get into all the details that led up to my discovering Bill and Kerry's videos and related topics, but I've already put alot of effort into writing an entire book on the subject, so i'm afraid you'll have to pay me first.
I'd already done a bit of research myself, but still, like a lot of others here those early vids were sort of a genesis..or starting point for me. I just kept thinking: if only that loud American woman would shut up for 2 seconds we could all listen to this interesting British guy....
I lost track of Bill and Kerry for a good long while. Then, one day I found Avalon. I was out of the loop though - I had no idea they'd gone their separate ways and all that. "Charles" was being interviewed then, and regardless of your opinion on the man, you have to admit it was a fascinating time to be a member here. Somehow I thought you had to register here to watch the interview, so that's what I did. I had no intentions of ever posting. But then I did. 1 post led to 2, 2 to 3, and the rest, as they say, is history.

I became aware of Bill Ryan and Project Camelot back in 2005 when I started my truth search journey and found David Wilcock's Project Camelot's interviews and found it fascinating. I've grown so much since then and I've been looking for people to network with that have love in their heart for all people and the planet. I have had an idea for a project I'd like to start that would require some networking but I've been having trouble finding the right kind of people (loving/ethical/altruistic types). I think I signed up for an older Avalon forum a few years ago but I never posted. I thought to try out the forum here after getting the latest newsletter. I'm honored to cyber-meet all of you. :)

This is a great thread. Also made me think about my journey. As a lot of other members stated, I've always felt different from childhood. But my "alternative thinking" story came approx. like this;
Finding David Icke's book Children of the Matrix in a bookstore in London --> Internet research --> Finding Montalk & Noble Realms forum (still the best forum ever for me to be honest) --> Open Minds Forum --> Project Camelot Intewievs --> PA Forum --> "I quit everything, just unsubscribe me" era (around 6 months) --> "Wait, PA was actually great forum and great source" realization and asking moderators if they can re-subscribe me --> Here, Now.

This has all been most fascinating for me to read. My warmest thanks to all of you who've posted here to share your stories.
I became very interested in the Bob lazar story and material and from there pandoras box opened up for me and I've been involved ever since. I feel though that this was always going to be an important part of this life for other reasons.

When Bill and Kerry went their separate ways, I had the opportunity to make a choice! It was an easy decision.
I can't remember the details of how I wound up here. I think I found Project Camelot through David Wilcock. I was introduced to him by an article he had written for Richard Hoagland's enterprise mission website. I've been following RCH ever since the early 90's. You might find this funny, I initially thought David was from the UK because of his last name. When I finally found PC and all the videos archived there, it was like a treasure trove. Totally addicted I used to go to PC every day to see if there was a new video posted. Then when Kerry and Bill split I was kind of lost for awhile as it had been my main "go to" site for so long. I didn't bother with the Project Avalon forum for a long time - I didn't think anything was going on there, probably because the main site didn't seem to be getting any updates. Then one day I took a look.

I had been following UFO related subject since an extended and mysterious sighting in the night sky some 50 years ago with my entire family present and witnessing. I was about 15 at the time. I wanted to learn more about what it could have been and found little practical information from mainstream sources and so very soon turned to alternative sources even though they were difficult to access at that time. Then many years later I ran across the Serpo story which lead me to Bill Ryan and have been following Bill ever since as he has continued to be a trustworthy source - one who has opened many avenues of research for me which have led to many other excellent sources. I think that I am finally beginning to grasp at least some of the strange reality in which I exist. Thanks, Bill.
