One of the easiest way to CHANGE the world is to be aware WHERE you spend/give your money.

The problem with Walmart is not that it is connected to the Bushes, or the NWO, or that it is a vicious competitor that stomps "mom and pop" businesses flat. The problem is not even that the work is grueling and that Walmart is a very demanding employer or that Walmart is willing to close stores to kill budding unions, or that most of its goods come from China. Pretty much the same things can be said of almost all big corporations or companies on the face of the earth.

No, the real problem with Walmart is the "cheer".

http://www.wal-martchina.com/english/walmart/rule/wmcheer.htm

Everyone who works at Walmart must do the cheer. Why does Walmart force its employees to do the cheer? Because Walmart is a cult.

http://dangerousminds.net/comments/america_circa_2013_in_a_nutshell_the_wal_mart_cheer_is_the_most_depressing

Now, you can work at Walmart without letting yourself get recruited into its cult, but all employees must do the "cheer". And if you don't do the cheer to management's liking...if you don't show the proper enthusiasm and up-beat "smiley" attitude...then you are marked. If you just want to do your job and go home, you are marked. If you don't think the sun shines out of Walmart's rear end, then you are marked. Even if you do your job superbly and are highly productive, if you resist the cult of Walmart-worship, you are marked.

To work at Walmart is to work under a weird, nebulous cloud of oppression that comes from the demand to LOVE Walmart. It is not enough to do a good job, or even to enjoy your job. No, an employee must LOVE the company, unconditionally. No criticism of Walmart is allowed**. An employee must extoll the virtues of Walmart...must sing its praises...must always wear a smile, even if they are dying inside.

Walmart's behavior with it employees, especially the way it trains managers, is totally cultic. Training for managers involves LGAT

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Large-group_awareness_training

and huge pep rallies...brainwashing, mind-control sessions.

p.s. Most employees do not like the cheer, but there are some who do like it...there are some who let themselves be recruited...and they are used by the cult as kapos. They are allowed to slack on the job. They are give maximum raises at their yearly evaluation even when they are slackers and they get promoted within the company.

** Suppression of criticism or critical analysis is a feature of all cults. All cults want true believers. A person cannot critically examine something and be a true believer of it at the same time.

Well I know I would never work there. I have seen what Walmart does to the mom and pop shops who have been in business for a long time. If I did I wouldn't follow their cultist ways and yes I would be marked. When it came to that moment where I would be confronted or threatened of losing my job from not conforming for singing their cultish crap Id give them my serious stare and and tell them them to shove it!!!:blackwidow:

That would be the rebel in me to resist

When independent businesses (mom and pop businesses) are forced to close, it means that there are fewer and fewer alternative employers, and folks can end up working for Walmart even though they don't want to.

let me educate you on Sam and Helen , Helen Robinson owns land in Oklahoma , a place where 3,000 wild mustangs are allowed to roam free ... upon their wedding Helen's father gave new son-in-law Sam 75,000 dollars as a wedding gift ... Sam took the money and bought a failing hardware store in Arkansas ... He made costumer service his first priority , and his business took off ... the kids and the people now running Walmart are the ones who took to the toilet ...Helen still travels to Mexico on her birthday ( she flies coach ) and carries her own bags and drives herself from the airport ... My old boss is one of her good friends , he asked about her jets , and she said it's cheaper to fly coach , and she didn't need anyone to carry her bags , the lady is still old school ... it's the underlings that have made Walmart what it is ... Sam was old school , still driving his old truck , with hunting dogs in the back , and wore rubber boots , and drove to all his stores to take back merchandise just to check the workers service skills , many were fired on the spot for being rude to an old man/customer ... Sam's vision was providing a job for everyone , and giving people a good deal originally ... his kids are ruthless monsters ...

Thank you ghostrider. Having worked at the home office in Bentonville, AR during the time that "Mr. Sam" was alive, I can personally attest to the truth in your post. I worked with architects and engineers who were in direct contact with him from the early days. I saw him often. He did care about his employees, whom he called associates.

There was absolutely nothing "cultish" about the Wal-Mart cheer, and I am proud to say that on one occasion I was honored to be on stage to help lead it at a company meeting. There were never any requirements or pressure to participate. I always felt it was similar to the University of Arkansas football tradition of "calling the hogs," -- a fun way to generate enthusiasm. I cannot say what individual management required or requires at store level.

I agree that things changed dramatically after his death, and I often wonder which direction it would have gone if he had continued to live.

There are a lot of things you can say about Wal-Mart, - but calling them a cult is really stretching it. My question is, if everyone hates Wal-Mart so much, why is it always so hard to find a good parking place?
