Hello Everyone: Was reading this article about Ticks and Lyme disease. Found it very interesting since I always thought you could only pickup a tick from a tree or wooded area. I was wrong according to the research. You can even pick up a tick while gardening or playing outside in the yard with the kids. I never knew that some ticks such as the nymph tick was so tiny. It can also give you lyme disease. If you go to the article you will see the picture comparison of two ticks.

Jim Wilson was dumbfounded by a large rash around his navel back in the spring of 1991. Within a few months he was having trouble walking, talking, and remembering. Several doctors’ visits and three years later, Wilson was finally diagnosed with Lyme disease, which he’d contracted from a tick bite.
Wilson says he “got his life back” after being treated successfully with antibiotics. Now living in Kelowna, B.C. he went on to found the Canadian Lyme Disease Foundation (CanLyme), which aims to raise awareness of ticks and the bacteria they carry.
“It was horrible to think a little tiny tick can do that much harm that affects so many systems of the body,” Wilson says. “It affected my sight, hearing, brain, breathing, joints, muscles, and nerves. I had spasms and seizures. It was terrible.”
A serious illness caused by the bite of an infected blacklegged tick, Lyme disease is one of the most rapidly emerging infectious diseases in North America, according to a 2014 statement before the parliamentary committee by Steven Sternthal, acting director general of the Centre for Food-borne, Environmental and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases, a division of the Public Health Agency of Canada’s Infectious Diseases Prevention and Control Branch.
“It is impacting our most densely populated regions,” Sternthal told the committee. “We anticipate the disease will affect over 10,000 Canadians per year by the 2020s.”
And with new research that Canada's changing climate is bringing more ticks and Lyme disease to Canada, the threat is more prevalent than ever.
It can be difficult to detect a tick or know you’ve been bitten. During its nymph stage, a tick is only about the size of a period at the end a sentence. Ticks can also be the size of a pea. Many people are infected by nymph ticks, but don’t suspect Lyme disease because they don’t recall being bitten; bites are usually painless. CanLyme says that 50 per cent of those who are infected don’t remember being bitten (including Canadian signer Avril Lavigne, who revealed her battle with Lyme disease earlier this year).
Chrissy Teigen posted this photo of what she later discovered to be a tick bite. (Instagram)Chrissy Teigen posted this photo of what she later discovered to be a tick bite. (Instagram)
One of the most outwardly recognizable symptoms of a tick bite is a rash. Last year, model Chrissy Teigen posted a photo of a rash on her chest on Instagram. "Well, the aliens got me!" she joked. Comments poured in saying it may be a tick bite -- and turns out it was. However, while it's indeed an indicator, CanLyme emphasizes that less than 50 percent of people who have been bitten will get any kind of rash.
Blacklegged ticks are active all year round. Misdiagnosis of Lyme disease is common, since symptoms mimic those of so many other conditions.
According to CanLyme, the first physical signs of Lyme infection are often flulike symptoms such as sore throat, headaches, congestion.
Other symptoms of Lyme disease include:
Unexplained hair loss
Twitching of facial or other muscles
Stiff or painful neck or jaw
Double or blurry vision
Pain in eyes, or swelling around eyes
Buzzing or pain in ears
Diarrhea or constipation
Muscle pain or cramps
Shortness of breath
Night sweats or unexplained chills
Extreme fatigue
Mood swings or irritability
Difficulty falling or staying asleep
Confusion
Blacklegged ticks are most often found in forests and the overgrown areas between the woods and open spaces. According to the Government of Canada, they are most abundant in southern British Columbia; southeastern and south-central Manitoba; southern, eastern and northwestern Ontario; southern Quebec; southern New Brunswick and Grand Manan Island; and parts of Nova Scotia.
It’s not just hiking in the bush where people can be exposed to ticks. You can come into contact with them while doing any outdoor activities, such as gardening, golfing, or camping.
If you find an attached tick on you (some people recommend running a lint brush over yourself to catch any ticks you may not be able to see with the naked eye) or feel unwell after outdoor activities where ticks could be present, see a health professional immediately.
You can pull a tick out yourself if you’re careful, according to CanLyme. If you have a pair of fine pointed tweezers and a steady hand, you can grasp the tick’s mouthparts, not the body, and slowly pull the tick straight out. Many outdoor stores sell tick-removal tools.
Even better, reduce the chance of ticks biting or attaching to you in the first place by doing the following:
Wear long pants, long-sleeved shirts, and closed-toe shoes. Tuck your pants into your socks.
Wear light-coloured clothing to make it easier to spot ticks, and check your clothes and your body often. Ticks will look for exposed skin and favour places like belly buttons, groin, and hair.
Avoid low-lying brush or long grass. Walk in the middle of pathways or trails.
Apply insect repellent to your skin and clothing, especially at the openings such as ankles, wrists, and neck.
Shower or bathe within two hours of being outdoors to wash away loose ticks.
If you still feel unwell weeks or months after possible exposure to a tick, CanLyme suggests seeking second or even third medical opinions.

Ticks are no joke. I recently went backpack camping with my fiance in the north woods. We had no idea what we were getting into except that the campsite was beautifully hidden along a rapid, fish filled river. We planned on fishing and having a nice relaxing weekend in the middle of nowhere. Nature and us. NOPE...It was about a mile in we discovered the little buggers. I pulled off 5 on my legs. My lady pulled off 5. We continued onto and found our spot, set up camp and fished. Was beautiful weather but these little buggas were relentless. Within 5 hours we picked off more than 70 ticks. We had enough, packed up and got out. Got to the car, another 10 ticks pulled off us. Drove home to another 1 on me and 3 attached on my lady. After awhile it was like you were checking constantly for ticks. What are the chances out of the 80 we pulled off that 1 of those had lyme disease? Im sure. Ticks aint nothing to mess with. Creepy litle vampires, could even be deathly

if you think you have caught lyme, you have to go to the doctor and get heavy antibiotics within 2 weeks. The bacteria is killed if early enough with antibiotics. Afterwards, it hides and is almost unkillable. Then a few years later, you realise you are cripple for life. Insist at the doctor for the antibiotics, they won't give it - tell them you had the bull eye syndrome.

Afterwards, repair your intestinal flora, because it will have been hit by the antibiotics. Believe me, you do not want lyme disease. I got a tick bite few years ago in the Adirondacks, and back in Canada had the bull eye. Went to see the doctor, he was all excited (no kidding) to see something new (we did not have many tick infected in Canada back then) but gave me the antibiotics. No signs of lyme yet.

My sister has contracted Lyme twice over the past 10 years. Two different types, and since that's rare, researchers have been working with her here in Wisconsin, where we have one of the highest rates of infection. She keeps up to date on all the latest, and of course, is still being monitored. (There are now 4 different types here, with each of the 4 having mutated versions.)

But the VERY IMPORTANT INFO I want to share today, is that there was a huge conference held about one year ago, in which there were a number of medical experts on Lyme speaking, and at one point, they were telling the audience of hundreds, that most Lyme is NOT CONTRACTED VIA A TICK BITE, and that they don't have a clue what's transmitting it.

The researchers working with my sister informed her years ago, it's highly contagious and can be transmitted VIA BODILY FLUIDS....that means, sexually, and even cross-contamination from mother to fetus, and can result in miscarriages and still-births.

Remember, it's a bacteria, and should be treated as such.

I myself seem to have contracted it, in the arthritic form that mimics MS. I expected it for I've always been an avid gardener, and am working on building up my immune system.

That is very interesting that they would not know how it is contracted and that the specialists would think it is highly contagious. I read a while ago that the bacteria of lyme is in the same family as syphilis bacteria, and syphilis was highly contagious through body fluids. Since, i always Wonder why wouldn't lyme be contagious, since the bacteria is similar to syphilys. You just gave me the answer. It is.

I know someone whose life was greatly damaged by Lyme as, for a long time, they didn't know what she had since the disease was not very common in Canada at the time.

Her doctors diagnosed her with some kind of neurological disease for which there is no cure. She kept searching and eventually was diagnosed with Lyme. She was on antibiotics for six months because the disease had progressed to the point that she could not function. But six months on oral antibiotics did very little for her.

Because she has money, she was able to check herself into a clinic in New York where they treat Lyme disease. She spent two weeks in bed with an IV in each arm. One poured antibiotics into her 24 hrs. a day, while the other poured vitamins and minerals into the other arm. She was finally rid of Lyme and is feeling relatively well but she feels she will never be the vivacious person she was before the tick bite.

Some claim to have treated theirs with MMS and/or Hydrogen Peroxide therapy in combination with colloidal silver and high doses of vitamin C.

A conspiracy theorist (I don't remember who) said that Lyme carrying Ticks were being developed as a bio weapon on an island off New York. They were bread and carefully contained, but a disaster occurred when some of these Lyme carrying ticks escaped from the lab and that is the reason infection has become so rampant.

I agree with everything you stated above. I'd like to add a note to your above quote...my opinion of course...I believe it was intentionally released, not accidentally, and so do some of the experts who've been speaking in whispers, in the meetings my sister has been going to.

i believe the same. Add to Lyme disease (much more successful into spreading than Aids), add Autism increase, MS increase, ADD increase, plus glycophase in food, GMO, chemtrails, EMF contamination drastic increase, creating all debilitating diseases or impairments that makes life very difficult and implementing logical changes almost impossible. It also makes higher spiritual exercises almost impossible to do as well.

This tells it all.

Unfortunately this only takes care of the initial onslaught. Antibiotics kill off MOST but not all, and it returns with a vengeance. T

The CDC reports on their website using antibiotics in later stages doesn't help, but actually can make it worse.

As someone else has stated here, I believe collodial silver is excellent, considering it was the antibiotic of choice for hundreds of years, until the advent of our 'modern medicine' replaced it. Silver is a natural anti-bacterial and the worst side effect from ingesting too much over a long period of time, will be a greyish tinge to your skin.

Because Lyme wrecks so much havoc, and can attack so many body-systems, I would think it'd be very crucial to keep the 'gut' as healthy as possible, using pro-biotics to assure healthy 'gut' organisms. I bet as the Lyme bacterium is attacking different organs, toxins are being released, which would require some type of cleansing program too.

I have felt for quite awhile, 'they' have been intentionally down-grading the human genome. Because of all the contaminants we're being exposed to on a daily basis, and have been for decades, we have become a sickly (and stupid) shadow of what humans are capable of being.

For any who subscribe to the translations of the Sumerian cuneiforms, specifically the aspect of Enki and his sister manipulating our DNA and advancing humanity, (against the wishes of Enlil, who only wanted to keep humans enslaved), I believe this could be an attempt by the "Enlil Camp" to retain their position of Controllers/Enslavers.

(I also believe as this Enlil Camp has been downgrading, Enki's group is just as real, and has always been helping us advance and become more and more enlightened. The big question is- who will make it to the finish line first??)

My sister is a chronic lyme sufferer, she actually took two stuffs: Allicin and Cat Claw extract and she's feeling better with.

The garlic apparently works because of its ability to move through many types of tissues (hence you can smell it on your skin after eating fresh garlic), exposing the bugs hiding dormant in everything from the beds of fingernails to nerve and brain where most antibiotics barely reach, imparting its anti microbial sulfur compounds to the bug’s hidden bunkers.

The Cat claw somehow revs up immunity to attack microbes (works well on other infections)

Never underestimate the power of complex plant immunity compounds, plants invented life on Earth long before we evolved from them.

I fail to understand why the capitalist forces of Big Pharma don’t go after this bug, maybe because selling antibiotics is more lucrative than curing the disease...

It's interesting that Lyme's symptoms are very similar to chronic fatigue syndrome's, which I have. At times I am almost crippled, I have also have had many gut problems so all of those things are related. Many suspect that CFS too is caused by a virus. So far no cure, only certain treatments which might for some people. Although I believe that there is also an energetic aspect to that disease.

I know two individuals who've used Ionic Silver to treat and cure their Lyme's Disease. One of them started taking little doses and then upped to megadoses and after about a month, discharged a massive amount of spirochaete and suddenly felt cured. Another one used it irregularly and her symptoms almost disappeared until she ran out and they returned again.

Ionic Silver binds itself to viruses and bacteria which means it discharges from the body much faster than collodial silver, so you don't have to worry about bluing skin or grey irises.

When we were living in NJ, both my wife and my youngest son were infected be Lime's disease at different times. My son had the target circle on his hip. Massive antibiotics cured them both. My son and I had been walking on a trail in the NJ pine barrens (forest), and must have picked up 100 ticks each. We ran back to the car, stripped, and worked hard to remove them all! I know the feeling when you feel a tick crawling on the back of your neck, but it really isn't there.

My oldest daughter and I have late stage lyme. I have 6 species of borrelia and babesia behind the biofilm. There are other co infections as well. I am 3 months into treatment with my LLND - mainly using Byron White herbs (some Nutrimedix also) loads of detox products, we use RIfe, far infra red- list goes on. After having a year of certain nerves being *electrocuted* that is all gone. My head feels much better too (it's in my brain as well) . I still have chronic fatigue but make it a point to exercise at least an hour a day.

Edited to add: never had a tick on me I recall and lyme is also spread via other vectors (mosquitos being one example).

Got Lyme disease in 2013. Doctor prescribed antibiotics, felt better in days. Have not had any problems since. The thing is you talk to doctors about it coming back and they answer that they think your cured but that the person infected will show positive after testing if you think were bit again because the virus is still in your body. So my guess is they really don't know, long term ,what is going to happen to those infected. Just one more thing to ruin ones life if not aware of the situation.

The bacteria lives in the gut of the tick, and once the tick has bitten in, it takes 24 h or more for the bacteria to pass through the digestive system of the tick and into you. So, if you remove the tick before 24 h has passed you should not contract the illness. This is what I read for the case of deer ticks, not sure if the situation is different for other carriers (if there are any). If more than 24 h has passed or the time is unknown, many people get the antibiotics as a precaution.

Found this http://silvonic.com/ionic-vs-colloidal-silver.aspx

Both are solutions that have finely dispersed molecules of silver, somewhere between 3 and 10 atoms. On ionic silver, the molecules have a charge (not sure if it is negative or positive) which causes them to bond to viruses and other pathogens, and leave the body when they are ejected. Collodial silver is neutral, and hangs around the body.

There is a phobia of collodial silver - it can turn you eyes grey and skin blue. I think that happens rarely and only if over used. But this can't happen with ionic silver because it leaves the body.

In the Middle Ages, wealthier people wore silver jewelry. It was pure silver, not an alloy like sterling, so it got absorbed into the body and turned the skin greyish-blue, and these people were dubbed "Blue Bloods" and were considered to be immune to Plague and other maladies.

The island was Plum Island on the eastern end of the North Shore on Long Island, New York. Just a few miles to the north is Old Lyme, Connecticut, where the disease first was noticed, and given the name "Lymes Disease"
