I believe that most of the people are aware of Yellow stone, USA as one of the supervolcanos in the world.
However, do you know that Hong Kong has a supervolcano too? http://www.scmp.com/news/hong-kong/article/1026638/hong-kong-formed-rare-supervolcano-eruption (Chinese version (https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E7%B3%A7%E8%88%B9%E7%81%A3%E8%B6%85%E7%B4%9A%E7%81%AB%E5%B1%B1))
It may be one of the reasons why United Kingdom took Hong Kong as one of its colonies.
Please note that dead volcano does not really mean death. It can be re-actived again by stimulation such as another volcanos or earthquakes.
