The closer we get to Ceres, the more intriguing the distant dwarf planet becomes. New images of Ceres from NASA's Dawn spacecraft provide more clues about its mysterious bright spots, and also reveal a pyramid-shaped peak.

Ceres is quite interesting, and polarizing regarding the sentiment that NASA is intentionally hiding better imagery of the "lights."

Regardless of what seems the most logical (cryo-volcanoes, salt deposits, etc.), you can't deny the resemblance of these lights to Earth-city lights photographed from space. Personally, if you look at some of the GIFS that NASA has posted showing the planet's rotation, I think the lights remain illuminated well beyond the point that sunlight would have any effect on peaks of ice or salt.

I'm really enjoying the ongoing puzzle, and wouldn't be all that surprised if there was an alien component to the discovery.
