Most people are familiar with the story of Atlantis, the legendary sunken city as described by the ancient Greek philosopher Plato. Till this day, opinion is still divided as to whether this story should be understood literally or taken merely as a morality tale. Further east in the subcontinent of India is a similar tale, though it probably is less well known compared to that of Atlantis. This is the ‘lost continent’ of Lemuria, frequently connected to the legend of Kumari Kandam by speakers of the Tamil language.

Radiation still so intense, the area is highly dangerous. A heavy layer of radioactive ash in Rajasthan, India, covers a three-square mile area, ten miles west of Jodhpur. Scientists are investigating the site, where a housing development was being built.

For some time it has been established that there is a very high rate of birth defects and cancer in the area under construction. The levels of radiation there have registered so high on investigators' gauges that the Indian government has now cordoned off the region. Scientists have unearthed an ancient city where evidence shows an atomic blast dating back thousands of years, from 8,000 to 12,000 years, destroyed most of the buildings and probably a half-million people. One researcher estimates that the nuclear bomb used was about the size of the ones dropped on Japan in 1945.

The Mahabharata clearly describes a catastrophic blast that rocked the continent.

A Historian Comments

Historian Kisari Mohan Ganguli says that Indian sacred writings are full of such descriptions, which sound like an atomic blast as experienced in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He says references mention fighting sky chariots and final weapons. An ancient battle is described in the Drona Parva, a section of the Mahabharata.

"The passage tells of combat where explosions of final weapons decimate entire armies, causing crowds of warriors with steeds and elephants and weapons to be carried away as if they were dry leaves of trees," says Ganguli.

"Instead of mushroom clouds, the writer describes a perpendicular explosion with its billowing smoke clouds as consecutive openings of giant parasols. There are comments about the contamination of food and people's hair falling out."

I have put up a couple ' fun' posts about Lemurians a few years ago when Bob and
Ion were discussing them . Apparently they have been living along side us for a
for a very long time , and come from Lemuria which is two galaxies away from the
Andromada galaxy which is the next one to ours . They look physically like
humans , but with more reptilian traits and features and the large Moai stone
statues on Easter Island are supposed to depict them. They are a bit like 'watchers'
(who are humans from other worlds )but less emotional and do intermingle with us,
as opposed to observing, and are even in high positions around the world but don't
interbreed although they are sexually compatible. There were lots of questions on
the live radio show at the time , and I remember asking a question on the
inbox/chat . On their Achieve radio show , Is the UK Royal family Lemurian ? which
would tie in with David Icke ' reptilian bloodline . ( Though that could be Annunaki
or possibly Draconian ) The answer was not clear , I think Ion said no , but there
were Lemurian influences or something. Anyway it has cropped up from time to
time , but in unconnected Q & A , but I find it very interesting. Plus with all the new
ancient humans popping up over the last few years ....Why not ?? ...I'l see if I can
find one of the old posts....

Until today the biggest cities in the world are often built on the coasts, by the ocean. In the US we have New York, Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Washington DC, Miami, New Orleans, among others, as examples of this. Elsewhere in the world you have Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Ho Chi Minh City, Mumbai, Naples, Alexandria (Egypt), Veracruz, and many others.

Any cities in these coastal regions during the last ice age would now be under a lot of water.

The cataclysm around 10,000 BC that caused the end of the ice age and global flooding, also nearly exterminated mankind as a species, if you go by all the various flood myths and legends. Some time ago I came across the book "INANNA RETURNS" by Susan Ferguson who is still alive. It is a fascinating account of her memories from many thousands of years ago. The link I give goes to her webpage, on which you can download a PDF of her book.

I highly recommend reading it, not only for accounts of ancient war, but for the amazing memory of "scintillating geometrics" that hold layers of memory/meaning/information. Some quotes:

A word of explanation as to why I have so enjoyed her work is that I feel a soul connection to her. I have flown into rather high frequencies and seen moving geometrics that form the blueprint of my largest oversoul, and I have glimpses of memory of some things she writes about. Her work may not be for everyone, but it is most interesting.

People on earth were called "Lulus" and at the time of the great flood, Inanna wrote how sad she was to see her Lulus drowning as she rose up from earth in a spacecraft. As said, it is interesting reading.

Great Maps! Lines up with what I’ve heard about Atlantis sinking & breaking up. Hawaii and the Marquesas, etc. are only fragments of what once was. But Bsbray’s map has me thinking on new lines. Is it possible that the legendary sinking of Atlantis was also a physical phenomenon, as well? Perhaps caused by the ending ice age?

The available evidence certainly suggests an ancient nuclear device was used in India, and I have the Mahabharata on my “to-read” list to study the passages for myself. Looks like I’ll have to keep my eyes out for the Drona Parva section!

The Lost Continent of Kumari Kandam


The story of Kumari Kandam is not regarded as just a story, but seems to be laden with nationalistic sentiments. It has been claimed that the Pandiyan kings of Kumari Kandam were the rulers of the whole Indian continent, and that Tamil civilisation is the oldest civilisation in the world. When Kumari Kandam was submerged, its people spread across the world and founded various civilisations, hence the claim that the lost continent was also the cradle of human civilisation.
So, how much truth is there in the story of Kumari Kandam? According to researchers at India’s National Institute of Oceanography, the sea level was lower by 100 m about 14,500 years ago and by 60 m about 10,000 years ago. Hence, it is entirely possible that there was once a land bridge connecting the island of Sri Lanka to mainland India. As the rate of global warming increased between 12,000 and 10,000 years ago, the rising sea levels resulted in periodic flooding. This would have submerged prehistoric settlements that were located around the low-lying coastal areas of India and Sri Lanka. Stories of these catastrophic events may have been transmitted orally from one generation to another and finally written down as the story of Kumari Kandam.

The existence of a bridge in this location is also supported by another ancient legend. The Ramayana tells the tale of Sita, Rama’s wife, being held captive on the island of Lanka. Rama commissions a massive building project to construct a bridge to transport his army of Vanara (ape men) across the ocean to Lanka.
As with most so-called myths, it seems likely that there is at least some truth to the ancient Tamil legends of Kumari Kandam, but just how much, is yet to be determined.
