The incident is not new , and Linda Moulton - Howe and others have been
talking about MOD disclosure of all its files for a few months. But a full
page BBC genuine 'unbiased ' UFO article is worth a post ...LOL



The Ministry of Defence told the BBC it no longer deals with reports of UFOs.


It says the MOD does not deal with UFO reports , which is 'b------'s' , unless
they mean another agency does it, and does not bode well for any further
MOD releases , but at least you can point sceptical friends & family that
the good old Beeb 'Guardians of the Airwaves' have reported it !!

The BBC have reported on Rendlesham before but usually they have sceptic
Dr. David Clarke , or MOD plant Nick Pope on to dampen things down...

Col Charles Halt saw an unidentified flying object over a Suffolk airbase in 1980

New evidence has been gathered to back up claims a UFO landed near a US airbase in
Suffolk, a former deputy commander has claimed.Col Charles Halt told the BBC he saw
unidentified objects at Rendlesham Forest in December 1980.He says he now has
statements from radar operators at RAF Bentwaters and nearby Wattisham airfield that
an unknown object was tracked at the time.

Col Halt claimed it was seen by himself and base security staff.

The 75-year-old, who was deputy commander at the Bentwaters base and now lives in
the US state of Virginia, said some former service people had not wanted to speak until
they retired but had now provided written statements to him.

◾United States Air Force security personnel John Burroughs and Jim Penniston were the
first to report sightings of strange lights on 26 December 1980
◾Col Halt recorded a running commentary into a dictation device of their efforts to find
the source of the lights
◾RAF Bentwaters was an airbase used by the United States Air Force during the Cold
War until 1993
◾Other suggestions as to what was seen at Rendlesham include military project testing,
a helicopter carrying a dummy Apollo capsule, light from the Orford Ness lighthouse and
pranks by airmen
◾In 1983, the News of the World ran a front page story which proclaimed: "UFO LANDS
IN SUFFOLK, And that's OFFICIAL"

"I have confirmation that (Bentwaters radar operators)... saw the object go across their
60 mile (96km) scope in two or three seconds, thousands of miles an hour, he came
back across their scope again, stopped near the water tower, they watched it and
observed it go into the forest where we were," said Col Halt.

"At Wattisham, they picked up what they called a 'bogie' and lost it near Rendlesham Forest.

"Whatever was there was clearly under intelligent control."

UFO researcher John Hanson said he found Col Halt to be a reliable witness and there
had been a "concerted effort to hide the truth".

He said the evidence of the UFO being picked up by radar seriously undermined the
suggestion by the government at the time that the reported phenomena was due to
witnesses seeing the light from Orfordness lighthouse and misinterpreting what they saw.

This is a very good presentation about a letter Larry sent home to his mother
on the 5th of Jan 1981. Before the Halt memorandum was written on the 11th
Jan 1981. This makes it the earliest documental evidence of the incident in the
public domain to date. Gary goes thru the letter with the audience. Then they
show some previously unseen photos. It was filmed from the side of the hall
so not as clear as it could be , but still very interesting.....

I have not heard Steve before , he certainly has had an event full life since his
spiritual changing experience during the Rendlesham incidents. I don't know how
he is thought of by the main researchers ? but a interesting point of view ,and
a good picture how mil mercenary/contractors worked in the 1980's and 90's which

‘If you’re interested in UFOs, you probably know about the Rendlesham Forest
incident, where multiple UFOs were claimed to be spotted near a military base
in England. Some people who’ve researched this subject are convinced it was a
genuine sighting of multiple unidentified objects, while others aren’t so sure.

With all of the UFO sightings we’ve had (and continue to have daily), it can be
difficult to determine what’s genuine, what’s a hoax, and what’s a simple
misunderstanding or misinterpretation. There are plenty of hoaxers out there
who are willing to fake a sighting, but the potential authenticity of the
Rendlesham incident stands out for a few reasons, one of which is that the
witnesses were all credible military men.

For those of you who are unaware of the events that took place in the Rendlesham
forest in December 1980, I’d like to examine an account of it in hopes of understanding,
as clearly and coherently as possible, what happened.’
