Hi Avalon,

I wanted to post this video that I believe has a beautiful message. I use it often as a reminder to myself why I can't give up all hope. I hope it may help you to. :sun:

as I am a musicaholic myself (opera-singer by profession) the only things I saw on the provided video were effigies of writhing snakes, an over-simplified version of the all-seeing eye, people mindlessly sitting in a movie theater and a not yet exploded hand grenade in various forms among many other things; typical New World Order propaganda at its cheapest-

@Musicaholic

I also welcome you to the forum in my own humble way (am not an administrator here- just a contributor) but I think we'll both agree that the background sounds provided in this video "ain't" exactly good music- and as far as the provided video images go: if you are not yet aware of the concept "New World Order" and its blatant, mocking-us symbolisms thrown right in our faces (videos are a good start) you might want to check this concept out (plenty of info on the internet let alone on this forum)-

please stay well Musicaholic and all readers-

This reads very condescendingly, Cardillac, and I'm afraid your cursory interpretation of the music video is completely wrong. The artist's name is Anthony Francisco Schepperd, and this surrealistic, psychedelic, higher-minded imagery can also be found in a recent collaboration for Dan Deacon's "When I Was Done Dying," if interested. I would invite you to take a closer look at how this production tackles the seemingly viral, industry of consumption across the landscape of entertainment and technology, where the human being is drawn away from the natural world, eviscerated, and consumed by their own insatiable creation. That's a starting point. I seem to pick up more and more with each viewing.

As to the merits of Blockhead's musical artistry, an opera singer such as yourself should be well aware of how densely vacuous and pedantic a discussion of subjectivities and "correct taste" (scare quotes for sarcasm) would be, concerning the differences between opera and instrumental hip-hop, their purposes, their histories . . . for one can clearly see that the two genres are of interest to two drastically different communities, generally speaking, and how the individuals within those communities inform and influence particularities in their respective inhabitants' collaborative defining of "good music" would need to be included in that conversation, among many other factors, were it to happen. And yet, nothing in this conversation should unequivocally convince an individual that they should like either genre.

If you don't enjoy a type of music, or music video, that's fine, but it is senseless to try and convince someone that they should not enjoy something for your reasons. You are actively preventing someone from developing their own consciousness and experiences of their own accord.

Thank you for the responses, and I love the song you posted betoobig :). Everyone has there own way of taking a video but I must say Crabbypatty seems to have a view which is closer to mine (one of hope that this does not continue). I don't want the end of the video, with an animal watching a now (extinct or self consumed?) human race.

much love

@CrabbyPatty

I never, EVER mean to be condescending; my posting was simply an alarm bell being sounded to wake people up about how the music industry (and an industry it is) has been corrupted to the advantages of the New World Order-

I don't think I've ever seen such blatant NWO symbolism in a video before; it was thrown right in our faces-

I don't try to distract anybody from enjoying anything but I just think people need to be informed that much of what they are "enjoying" has a dark, hidden agenda behind it;

if you, yourself, are not yet aware of this concept you might want to inform yourself; your re: Cardillac posting left me completely baffled, perplexed and completely in the dust-

and NO, this posting is not out of condescention to you (I don't feel myself superior to anyone) but if you are not yet informed about the corruption of the music industry and its history and how the instrumental tuning at A432 (the wavelength of universal peace and harmony) was changed to A440 (very disruptive leaving one open to other disruptions) you might want to check that out because it's for real-

in all sincerity (I'm NOT being facetious- NEVER my style) I truly wish you peace, well-being and harmony (but not on the A440 wavelength)-

Larry

Used to play this years back after someone showed it to me. Was a great video to see after all these years. It's message rings truer now than ever
