And no wonder???....Debate & demand of proof remains 60 years after Roswell... and words like sphere, orb, plasma, mulit-dimensional, abductee vs experiencer or both make it more confusing.
Here's a Merriam-Webster definition.
experiencer
noun ex·pe·ri·enc·er \-sə(r)\
plural
Definition of EXPERIENCER
: one that experiences <signs or symbols calling for one response or another on the part of the experiencer.
An internet search revealed a limited amount of information on the subject. Even the Merriam-Webster definition was not more in-depth.
Would this working definition fit the scope of experiencer?....
"A person that has ongoing encounters with ETs/UFOs that has not ben taken against their will."
or can an abductee also be an experiencer? Can experiencer also be positive or negative or both?
How confusing can it be???
This individual reveals a lack of understanding on the subject matter but gives a decent effort at explaining...

A report from UFO Media Matters: On abductees vs Experiencers
http://ufomedia.blogspot.com/2010/11/ufos-abductee-vs-experiencer.html
Here's a few quotes from UFO Media Matters;
There are two camps in the UFO community diametrically opposed to each others opinion on the abduction phenomenon. No, it’s not a debate on whether it happened or not; it’s about what it means to the person being taken.
“Abductees” and “Experiencers”. The Abductees believe these beings are evil or don’t care. They point to the fact they have been taken multiple times without their permission, forced to undergo medical procedures, and possibly impregnated. They also point to the fact that children have also been reported being abducted. They resent the fact that others are saying “they,” the abductees, just can’t understand what is happening and that their captors are really helping them."
The most documented cases, from the leaders in the investigations of this phenomenon: Budd Hopkins, Dr John Mack and David Jacobs.
One of the better videos found on the subject was by John Mack...

Dr. John E. Mack appears only briefly in this film, his death having occurred soon after production began. More substantial are visits to the New England countryside with experiencers, including one couple who videotaped an unidentified flying object hovering above a lake a few hours before they were abducted from their lakeside cottage. Also in this film, is the New York artist and alien encounter investigator Budd Hopkins.

It might be interesting to follow up with a list of the known experiencers and abductees like the popular one's vs the unknown one's. Even Bill Ryan would fit into a category, remember his experience on the mountain?
Where would these names fit? Where would you fit?
Billy Meier
Steven Greer
Budd Hopkins
Carlos Diaz
Italian Friendship case
James Gilliland
etc. etc...?
