View Full Version : Changing one's Evolutionary Ray

I am hoping someone (maybe Finefeather? :bowing:) will be able to help with this; it is something I have been preoccupied about for years, ever since I heard it was possible to change over at some stage, from the Human ray to the Devic . . . is this indeed true, and at what stage does one have this choice? I understand that humans always have choice in matters of positive/negative action etc, whereas the devonic rays are fixed in service (or perhaps even some more negative aspect if that is their ray) I admit that it appeals to me, to be able to act in all matters, knowing that there is no chance of error, that no harm can come to any other being through one's actions. (Is it a cop out?) I hope I haven't asked this question before, which is very possible considering my obsession with it!:o
There is so much pain & hopelessness in this dimension, I often think we have gone too far to be able to turn back or even forge ahead to a better, kinder way of living. This Thing-that-says-I would rather opt out of living within the so-called circle if life, which is the cause of so much death & mindless macerating of other lives, particularly those of the animals, & others, who are at our "mercy".

I'd like to suggest you shouldn't believe everything that you're told about Devic beings. It's very easy for those who are partially ignorant, I'm afraid (such as Leadbeater and Bailey and all the other theosophists), to maybe make ridiculous presumptions such as that Devic beings can never do anything that isn't constructive. (If that were true, then how could we explain the fact that some Divine beings have "fallen" into opposition to Source?) It's easy for the mind to jump to extremes, whereas reality is almost never so extreme.
The Devas are extraordinarily creative by nature. In psychology it's been discovered that the two most dominating/influential "personality" types are the so-called intelligent and conformist, and the creative. If you're not essentially super-creative by nature, I don't see how you could ever possibly make the crossover. All creative people are rebels and nonconformists, though usually not in a political sense. They think, and feel, laterally, all the time. And I do mean all the time. To them, "different" and original is normal.

Hi kirolak
I am not an expert in the process of changing our evolutionary path...but I can give you some very general points to consider.
. The Devas are far more advanced than those currently on the human evolutionary path and it would be my logical reasoning which would say that we might have to first get to some very low level on this path before we are able to move into it...which would be much like saying that we might need to drop before we can evolve on the Deva path.
. You need to consider that you...as a current human monad has evolved for millions of years along this path...which is the path of consciousness growth...were as Devas are on the evolutionary path of matter.
. Every human has ONE(1) Augoeides...who is an advanced Deva who's 'job' it is to guide us through the human cycle of our evolutionary path...you may call this Being your guardian angel... but be careful that you do not fall into the trap of thinking that these beings do all sorts of things which we read about in fairy stories :) They never break the laws which gives us full control of our individual right to self determination...and freedom of choice.
There is a lot to read about this on this link...http://www.laurency.com/index.html
it has an extensive index for each of the books, which are free on line, and they can be downloaded on PDF.
Look for anything to do with "Deva" or "Augoeides" and start in the order which the books are listed because they move from introduction type...to more advanced.
With love
Ray

My highlights above...
Just thought I would speak for Bailey here since she cannot be here to defend her writings :) It is amazing how many times I have heard people say negative things about her when they have not even taken the trouble to read and understand what she wrote about...much of her writing is so advanced that most humans don't even understand it...yet they want to report on it.
TH...I assume that you meant "can never do anything that is constructive" ?
If so then....Bailey has never ever said that Devas cannot do constructive things...not sure where you dug that up :) and we should realise that Leadbeater had in that life an advanced objective 'astral' consciousness...and may not have considered even what the Devas do...but he knew very well what they were.
Have you actually read much of Bailey? She wrote extensively on the Devas and knows quite well what the Deva evolution is and the roll they play in the Cosmos.
Deva's govern and work with the matter aspect of life...did you know that?
