This is really intriguing.
I am aware of the many causes and cures of stuttering but to have a lifetime of stuttering erased in just minutes is just astonishing. :clapping:

Breal,
Thank you for posting the video, I truly enjoy seeing someone freed from something that was hindering their life. This was a miraculous experience for the person that Tony guided. This video clearly displays the power of NLP.
Tony used two NLP techniques;
The first was a “Transderivational Search”. He asked the question, “When did you first experience stuttering?” As he asked the question he created an “Anchor” by touching Rachuad on the chest. This creates a connection into the subconscious memory. Rachuad could then recall the memory when he was two years old.
The second technique was “Collapsing Anchors”. The following URL discusses the specific. NLP is one of the most intriguing things I have ever studied.

You are most welcome OBwan! I have also studied NLP. I used it a lot in the work I did as a hypnotherapist/energy therapist. However, that was many moons ago :blushing:. I also find NLP very intriguing as I do EFT and all the other therapies that exist out there. Combine them all and kaboom![COLOR="red"][COLOR="red"]

Excellent. My 11 yr old has a slight stutter that I hope to get to the bottom of and help him through it.

I use to stutter/stammer. Unfortunately, my Dad thought the best way to cure was to make fun as if I was ‘retarded’. Sorry for descriptor but that was his intent. It also became a taunt weapon for a couple of siblings.
The ‘therapy’ only served to shut down communication. At another level, I questioned my intelligence. To compensate, I read and studied a lot. Which became a life long habit. Another benefit was that it fostered my imagination and creativity.
I no longer stutter/stammer. The reason is because the one and only time I had a regression was in my early 20’s. I saw that I was a young boy in the mid-1880’s. I lived on a farm with my mother who is the same one in this lifetime. I was a deaf-mute. She wasn’t able to take the time to communicate with me because of the weight of her duties to the farm.
Once I understood the connection it stopped.

I hate to throw cold water onto this provided thread but we have a stutterer supposedly cured by a man who speaks with a completely hoarse voice; both are speech-impaired (hasn't anyone noticed how hoarse the "curer" is?)- talk about the blind leading the blind...
I'm an opera-singer by profession; I have 42 yrs. of experience dealing with the function of the human voice and it's speech patterns;
I have my own experience with one stutterer who went through various "quick cure" therapies but was not cured of his stuttering; people must finally realize the phenomena of stuttering has a very deep psychological basis and cannot be cured instantly let alone by a person who speaks with a raw, hoarse voice (like give us a break)...

Well unless the above video is a fake you just witnessed the deep psychological basis being revealed and overcome.
The hoarse voice could be physical and would in no way detract from his knowledge on how to assist others.

I have a friend who treats people who stutter. My friend tells people who stutter to talk in a different accent. They stop stuttering instantly because they are engaging different neurological pathways. He encourages them to maintain the accent until the neurological pathways build and develop to the point where those new neurological pathways are the dominant force.
From my own personal experience, I've discovered that anything can cause anything. It is a very individual thing. As to why your friend hasn't had any success, maybe he hasn't found a practitioner yet who has zoned in on the cause of his stuttering like Tony did for Rechaud.
As for Tony and his voice, I don't know Tony so I can't really comment. I guess you never really know someone unless you are walking in their shoes.

There are actually cases where stutterers stop stuttering when singing, haven't you as a singer heard of or tried that?

great thread .. thx for this.
ps. exactly the same dynamic applies to ALS (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amyotrophic_lateral_sclerosis) .. an experience that leads to an emotion, that "locks-in" a physical condition (http://www.keshefoundation.org/webshop/product/view/6/117).
