Not sure if we already have a thread on this phenomena.
I already posted this here (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?85250-Amusing-Visions) but think a seperate thread is more fitting, since im sure other people have similar stories.

this weekend i saw something late at night with open eyes. an insect almost as big as my hand on the wall.
it quickly went down the wall and disappeared under my bed. but when i turned on the lights and lifted my mattress to check, i couldnt find it.
it was nowhere and the gap between wall and bed is so small, it would've needed to be almost as flat as a piece of paper to get through.

im not sure what to think of it. i never noticed seeing something move which might not exist physically with my open eyes.
it looked like a shadow, but i checked and to cast such a dark and big shadow the object would need to be close to the wall. the only light source was the tv.

some sort of spectral parasite? i have been sick for two weeks.
still, i never noticed anything like it before. not sure what to think.

are you seeing things too?

Yeah someone I know also encountered a similar thing, he killed it which caused a lot of blood splatter, he thought it was an insect that had somehow got trapped in someone's baggage and thought the insect origined from somewhere in Asia. But it was a bit creepy, to me it sounded a little like some kind of alien biological drone, but it was probably just something natural however quite unusual.

Sounds like the Archontic parasites. The spider ones can infect you by entering and walking around in your body. You should do something about this thing if that's what it is, it makes sense you have been feeling sick and see this spider.

well, have you ever encountered them? how do i best deal with it? mine looked like a big 2 dimensional fly.
i got sick abroad in croatia, two days before i left. it dragged out and what i assumed was a cold was actually a virus.
no fever, just coughing, running nose, ear(pressure?) changes and low energy. its been over 2 weeks now, im ok but not 100%. maybe 90.

Don't know if it's related or perhaps it's just that I am going mad, but I have a strangely similar experience. Recently, over the past few months or so, I've been noticing strange shapes in the periphery of my vision. The best way to describe them is that they are like momentary shadows, however, when I turn my head to see them properly, they disappear, leaving me thinking I'm losing my mind. Anyway, I've kept it to myself, not wanting to be sent to the loony house, until the other day.

So I was at home looking about my sitting room for my mobile phone, when I saw directly in front of me, clearly, a shadow creature scamper across the floor and hide under a chair. I was shocked, to say the least. I immediately went to the suspect chair but nothing was there. It was just like my previous "sightings" the only different in that it was right in front of me, not off to the side of my vision, as a consequence I could see it clearly.

It looked like a shadow, without the body to create a shadow, it was just a running shadow, it looked like the shadow of a large rat, small cat, small scampering animal of some type, with a tail, it had a tail for sure. It was very weird. I am not prone to letting my imagination get the better of me, I saw this thing. Because I saw it, I was scared when I went to look for it, I knew it to be real, although my mind still tried to convince me otherwise. Very spooky. Not sure what it was or what it means, but it was scary to have a confirmation of sorts... N

Train yourself to use your peripheral vision, and try to break yourself of the habit of turning the center of your gaze upon what you see. I am as certain as I can be that most of the time, we see subtle realities out of the corner of our eye, while the center of our vision is for use in the everyday world.

And don't be spooked. It is natural to feel that way, but keep your emotions in check and just observe. If they were there to harm you, you would know it.

p.s. Your peripheral vision includes the top and bottom of your gaze, too, as well as the sides of your eyes.

p.s. I see stuff like this all the time. I've been seeing them ever since I was a child. I used to think they were the ghosts of cats, and some of them might be. But I think most of them are inorganic beings of some kind. I have never felt threatened by them, which is why I say you needn't be spooked.

i am very glad to see that i am not the only one experiencing this, but i also feel sorry for nasu getting spooked multiple times already.

it was also by my peripheral vision that i first saw it. i slowly turned my head to see what this creature exactly was, that i suddenly saw apparently crawling around the wall next to me. -then it was still. and without moving its body just fell straight down. like a painting suddenly falling straight down the wall without rotating.

it was so bizarre i didnt know what to do, but i told myself i need to see what this was. so after maybe 5-10 seconds i got up and turned on the light etc.

and you see those kind of shadow creatures all the time, selkie?
do you also see them if you look right at them, or do they disappear then?
do they all look like different animal shadows? do many people know that about you?

so far i only told two friends at work about it and here. i only told open ears.

its funny, this happened saturday, but until today i havent thought too much about it. but i did have a spooked kinda bad feeling about it. but today, to be sure, i had a saltwater bath, put some salt under the bed, a glass with saltwater next to my bed (friends tip) and i told the universe im sovereign and i dont want anything leeching off of me.

i feel good, but actually i felt good before i did these things.
i think just getting it out and informing myself a bit on how to defend against a possible attack, helped me feel confident again.

at first i was all pragmatic: no insect, nothing to do.
but after a day i really started to wonder what that was..

I also had an experience a couple of days ago.

I saw with my peripheral vision, a presence just by our living room door - it felt like something was watching me.

I know it wasn't my imagination because it happened twice within the space of about 10 minutes. The first time I turned in the direction of the presence because it was unexpected but the second time I just kept my vision in the peripheral field and it stayed for about 30 seconds and then vanished.

Usually, I have waves of energy coming from behind and washing over me - it always feels like it is from the cosmos with my future self encouraging me to move forward.

However, this was completely different because it was to the left of me and it just stayed there.

I don't know what it means yet so I am not going to concern myself with it until I get more information.

Any critter which scampers away when you look at it is scared of you. Nothing to fear there. If you feel something slinking around, call it out. It's your home any nothing has the right to be there without your permission.
That said, I'd be more curious to find out what it was than anything else. You may want to have a box within easy reach in case it comes back. Grab it fast and throw it in. Stuff like that can be interesting.

I see ‘unusual’ things, too, mostly when I use my peripheral vision, but not always.

In daylight, when looking at the sky, either outside or through a window, I see lots of dancing ‘faerie lights’. They are quite small. They are less easy to see when against other backdrops.

I frequently see – especially at night – a smoky white fog of light-energy (for lack of a more accurate term) right in front of me, as if it is surrounding me or emanating from me. I’ve looked at my hands and have seen shafts of the same white fog of light-energy emanating from my fingers, and round my forearms – particularly when clothing does not cover them. I have seen this same white fog of light-energy in my eyes when I have stared into a mirror in the dark.

I have seen little rod-like objects or flashes zoom past me. I say rod-like but this could be a delayed optical effect of whatever is zooming past me.

I have seen dark shapeless forms on the ceiling and high up on walls. I see them peripherally and when I look at them directly I no longer see them. I see such mostly when I am talking passionately about something out loud to myself or to others. It very much feels like I am being observed.

On very rare occasions and always at night, I have seen small dim-white orbs, sometimes in a triad, sometimes singular. They ‘disappear’ as soon as I notice them.

Small sparkles of light I see frequently, always for only a split second.

In the dark or semi-dark, I see hundreds of thousands of specks of very dim white light, as well as dim specks vaguely coloured.

Whenever I look – using my peripheral vision – at a cloudy, grey sky, it quickly turns blue. No doubt this has something (or everything!) to do with electrical polarity – one blue (the electron?), one red (the proton?), which, when combined with the neutron (Us?), form white.

I feel that most of this is natural phenomena. As for one or more of the rest – I can only speculate what such may be.

all this week , shadow people , even my wife is seeing them now and she doesn't believe squat ... the spirit world is very active ... yesterday they were talking and I for the first time could hear them ... they are knocking things over around me , when I'm by myself ... now it doesn't even phase me , and just say to them , aren't we beyond that ??? I know your there , I can feel you and your not so sneaky I can see you and now hear you , the jig is up ... when you come into your power , reality bends to your will ... walking between worlds is a very long process ... some will religious folks will say , he will never put on you more than you can bare , I say you'll never step into spiritual matters any further than you can handle ... life must work on your mind , body and spirit and mold your character and prepare you for a journey you didn't know was real ... have you seen the sky lately ??? even nature is having anomalies right out in the open ...go watch the sunset and explain away what you are seeing ...I don't want to give it away but , it ain't normal ...

Yes, meditation did help. And asking ' if u are not love and light, do not near me' for 3 times and changing my thoughts to
some thing else and not getting fearful.

wow, i am surprised of the resonance here. even shadow people.. the veil might be thinning?

im not sure if i can or want to catch something like that though.
since a long time now i try to catch bugs in my apartment just to release them out the window.
admittedly, depending on the critter it definitely takes more energy then just smashing it dead, but i try to respect other life forms.

i dont know about yall, but i really would like to understand this phenomenon better. so anything anyone has to add to this is appreciated.

selkie: since youve always seen them, have you ever interacted with them? do you see people as well?
i wonder if theyre all just lower astral ghosts of deceased earth inhabitants.
maybe this is something totally normal that has always been this way, or maybe it requires a change in the bigger system or just the individual.

anyway ill be more confident and welcoming in the future and try to see what they are and want.
maybe they dont want anything and are just as surprised that you can see them as you are.

Possible it could be a spirit, I'm sure TVs, computers, etc.. attract these energies. I do think all creatures have spirits also, so might be an animal apparition.
