Since we are born we are indoctrinated either systematically, or a part of a belief system or way of life taught by others.

The sense of identity is a form of indoctrination, I am from the UK, and you are from Syria or Russia or some other part of land that is a part of this planet. These countries are all a fluid (changes with time) and self imposed restrictions as to the identity or lands from one name to the next. In reality there are no divisions of so called borders all of this is in the minds of the masses that identifies the land as a country, based upon teaching of the past or what those who have influence over the masses wishes you to believe. Look at the Earth from space; there is no division in a natural physical sense, only in a self induced artificial belief mechanism.

The systematic nature of indoctrinations is well documented, either through mechanisms known as politics, economics, religion and social conditioning. All of the aforementioned are also a fluid and change with time to some respects; sometimes individual interpretations of these indoctrinations have an effect on the masses if they are likely to follow one individual or another.

There are other forms of psychological tricks which enforce indoctrinations one is of course physical or material matter, such as large ominous buildings, or other power structures used to enforce the indoctrinations. So be aware of these, for we are all subject to them day in day out and it is well known, hammer something long and hard enough and you will believe anything, for it will be the only input that will dominant the information flow amongst all others.

Thank you Bogeyman, a very important lesson to keep in mind right now. Since the Syrian 'crisis' I have been thinking how this 'problem' exists only because of perceived differences between one person, one country, one dogma, that the media is ramming home right now to create fear surrounding this.

I have taken the time lately to ask myself what my own indoctrinations are and how I can remove them and see more clearly every day.

Thankfully I can tell that there is an overwhelming amount of people, especially in Europe, who aren't freaking out and are instead welcoming these refugees with open arms. This is true human nature at its finest people! Let's focus on this sort of loving reaction when it comes to cross pollinating our beautiful differences together.

It really warmed my heart and soul to see all those welcoming the refugees.

We are evolving into heart-centered holistic living...all of us. From the heart, we perceive our sameness and connections, all to the same Source. Our programmed inculcation to see differences were part of the divide and conquer strategies. However, our love is only growing stronger. I feel it.

Our programmed limitations of consciousness are dissolving. We are evolving. Flowing with the transformation while being soul-centered helps ease the transition. We're praying for each other a lot. I sure keep the project Avalon community in my prayers. I'm deeply grateful for our connection. Thanks to Bill and all of the moderators as well as all who share here.

We are blessed, indeed.

With love and full faith in our consciously created near future of miracles!

Well observed Bogeyman. Over the last 256 years (that typo's so funny I'll leave it in !! I meant 25) or so I've had every belief break down. Now all I'm facing is the story I've told myself. This is an extremely uncomfortable place to be, as I carefully circle my psyche trying to find what, if anything, is real.

Recently I've realized that humanity has probably developed belief systems and cultures as a way of belonging. Personally I no longer believe in anything, not even some of the memes circulated on this forum. It makes for a pretty lonely feeling, as I have no framework to hang anything onto. The only sense of belonging I ever feel is when I'm alone in the middle of a forest. But I know that this is the route I'm taking to expanded consciousness, so I'm sticking with it.

I think Mark Passio calls nationalism "loyalty to real estate". Understanding what he's saying isn't difficult but coming up with those simple truths yourself is brutal.
