It means airline passengers at those airports (Chicago O’Hare and Miami, in addition to D/FW Airport) could soon resume their travel to get to their destination.
The airline alerted travelers about with a Twitter message at 1:05 p.m., apologizing for delaying passengers.
“We have resolved connectivity issues that led to a ground stop today at our Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth and Miami hubs,” said American spokesman Casey Norton. “We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to get our customers on their way as soon as possible.”
The ground stop, which means no flights leave the ground or land, lasted from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
