Well if you have stayed bulimic skinny and had a haughty attitude, maybe it's your age. Stop thinking that concentration camp victim body is attractive, go to a museum and gaze at some paintings where women had curves! Or maybe Mother Nature is warning you that food is going to be hard to find and you better pat your belly and be glad you are carrying some food with you!!!

I don't understand what the above comment has to do with original post as the post was an informational post pertaining to weight loss (which is a growing issue).

Women especially develop insulin related weight gain due to shifting hormonal patterns as they get older and transition into perimenopause and menopause. Learning how to address those via diet and supplements are beneficial.

Women can also address this issue with bio-identical estrogen (17β-estradiol) which has been a life-saver for me. Not only my weight but just about every major metabolic function. My cholesterol shot sky high in 2014 but I just had it tested after one year of BHRT (bio-identical hormone replacement therapy) and it is back to normal, with no changes in diet or lifestyle and NO drugs. I don't count estradiol as a drug since my body used to produce copious amounts of this substance. Anyway, I wrote a thread about this in Health and Wellness.

I recommend the book "Women, Weight, and Hormones" by Dr. Elizabeth Vliet.
