"Neil Armstrong will be forever known as the first person to walk on the Moon. But less well known are his early exploits as a test pilot. Armstrong risked life and limb in a variety of experimental vehicles before he became an astronaut - a career that very nearly didn't happen."

An interesting article about a man who is majorly known for being the first man on the Moon, but his career began long before this.

Awesome post! Thanks for sharing :) I met Buzz Aldrin awhile back at an event and we got to talking about Neil and the kind of man he was according to Aldrin. Very interesting convo to say the least. I thought it was interesting in the article that Armstrong was added quietly to the list of applicants after the deadline. Never heard that before.

I am not sure if Neil Armstrong will be forever known as the first man walking on the moon. Sometime in the future he might be known as the man who played the main role in a fake moon landing recorded in a movie studio.

read the book written by various authors "And I Suppose We Didn't Go To The Moon Either" edited by Jim Fetzer- then do the extensive research of Jay Weidner- and we're not living in a world of deception?-
