Was King Arthur really a fictionalized version of Jesus Christ, and his Round Table the Disciples of Christ?
Ralph Ellis is developing a radical revision of the history of Jesus, Christianity, the Roman Empire and Europe in the period from the time of Christ to (so far) the time of the Crusades. He has just published (on Kindle a few hours ago) his fifth book in that series (which is Book 4 of the 5 Volume "Trilogy" listed below ... confusing <grin>).
This series now includes:
Cleopatra to Christ: Jesus: the great-grandson of Cleopatra. (King Jesus Trilogy) (Volume 1) (http://www.amazon.com/Cleopatra-Christ-great-grandson-Cleopatra-Trilogy/dp/1508465886/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1443073603&sr=1-10)
King Jesus, prince of Judaea and Rome (The King Jesus Trilogy Book 2) (http://www.amazon.com/King-Jesus-prince-Judaea-Trilogy-ebook/dp/B004A14TH0/ref=pd_sim_sbs_351_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=09YFE3ZH7699D9PD3YZD&dpID=51vG9WA2naL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR107%2C160_)
Jesus, King of Edessa (The King Jesus Trilogy Book 3) (http://www.amazon.com/Jesus-King-Edessa-Trilogy-Book-ebook/dp/B009Q5F9CO/ref=pd_sim_sbs_351_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=09YFE3ZH7699D9PD3YZD&dpID=51CSgWZ3OgL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR107%2C160_)
The Grail Cypher: The secrets of Arthurian history revealed (The King Jesus Trilogy Book 4) (http://www.amazon.com/Grail-Cypher-secrets-Arthurian-revealed-ebook/dp/B0152BGX7A/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1443073820&sr=1-1&keywords=The+King+Jesus+Trilogy+ralph+ellis)
Mary Magdalene: Princess of Orange (The King Jesus Trilogy Book 5) (http://www.amazon.com/Mary-Magdalene-Princess-Orange-Trilogy-ebook/dp/B005FMRDBW/ref=pd_sim_sbs_351_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=09YFE3ZH7699D9PD3YZD&dpID=510Ke0s34FL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR105%2C160_)
In this latest volume, "The Grail Cypher: The secrets of Arthurian history revealed (The King Jesus Trilogy Book 4)", Ralph Ellis concludes that King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table is a cover story, fabricated by the recently formed Knights Templar, circa 1100 AD, to preserve, in disguise, the real history of Jesus Christ, which the People’s Crusade of 1096 uncovered in manuscripts that they recovered in what is now eastern Iraq, east of the Euphrates, an area that had been cut off from the main Roman Empire for many centuries and so isolated from the wholesale rewriting of Christian history by the Holy Roman Church.
The truth uncovered in these manuscripts, that Christ had successfully rebelled against Rome and formed an empire over which he ruled, was unacceptable to the Christian church of circa 1100 AD, so the Knights Templar, who held these manuscripts, funded the concoction of a fictional King Arthur, who supposedly reigned sometime in the Dark Ages of the 5th or 6th centuries (from which almost no real history survived, to conflict with the story), which carried forth, in fictionalized form, the real story of Christ as a military leader and King who rebelled against Rome.
Here's an article that lays this forth, in more detail: The Grail Cypher: A radical reassessment of Arthurian history (http://www.ancient-origins.net/news-opinion/grail-cypher-radical-reassessment-arthurian-history-003903). The article is an enjoyable read ... I recommend it.
