Has Stonehenge been found on Mars? Ancient 'alien' stone circle discovered on Red Planet.
UFO hunters are claiming to have made the most significant discovery yet on Mars
after finding a "version of Stonehenge" on the Red Planet.

"Marshenge" as it has been called (left) and the real Stonehenge
Against all the evidence provided by Nasa, alien conspiracists insist the Red Planet
once held an ancient civilisation which was wiped out by a nuclear war.
"Marshenge" is the latest in a string of so-called discoveries of pyramid-like
structures, "ancient statues" and other ruins that the ET researchers claim to have
found in Nasa images of the Martian surface since they began being beamed back
by space probes from the 1970s.
But they do not appear to have been as excited about any of them as the
new "monolith structure".
Scott C Waring of UFO Sightings Daily said: "This is something remarkable.
It's two circles of rocks and one square in its centre."
He even claimed to have seen similar structure in other Nasa images.
He said: "(It is) always a circle. Sometimes with big rocks, sometimes smaller, but
always on small hills."
YouTube channel Mister Enigma described the discovery - first revealed on
Facebook by the page Journey to the Surface of the Mars as "insane."
In a video about Marshenge on YouTube, the computer video narrator said: "A
perfectly circular platform with a strange cluster of stones emerging from it.
"It looks eerily similar to what we have located here on Earth in Amesbury,
Wiltshire, known as Stonehenge
http://cdn.images.express.co.uk/img/dynamic/151/590x/secondary/Mars-Henge-2-351352.jpg
Are these the remains of an ancient stone circle or just eroded rocks?

Rings have been added to the image to show a "circular" nature to the rocks
I know the formation is not an exact match, nor am I saying it is, indeed, a
Stonehenge set up.
"I am just saying there is something strange about this area and it looks very much
like the mysterious ancient stone circle of Stonehenge."
There are several theories for what Stonehenge was built for including ancient
astronomy or astrology, as the stones were lined up with significant events in the
planets' orbits.
The video added: "Just look at it and make up your own mind.
"Could the builders of Stonehenge have visited Mars and did they build the same thing there?
"Or did we have visitors teach us how to build these things and do the same for long-lost beings on Mars as well?
"Or is this just another face on Mars illusion?"
Nasa currently has its Curiosity Rover 4WD droid scouring the Red Planet surface
and it has yet to send back details of any ruins or evidence of any life forms, let
alone intelligent civilisations.
The US space agency explains all the discoveries made by alien hunters in the
rover's and other orbiting probe's pictures as the effects of pareidolia - an optical
illusion when the brain tricks the eyes into seeing familiar objects, shapes and
things such as faces in textures or patterns like on a rocky surface.
Could the builders of Stonehenge have visited Mars and did they build the same
thing there? Or did we have visitors teach us how to build these things and do the
same for long-lost beings on Mars as well

EXCLUSIVE: There WAS life on Mars but 'catastrophic' event wiped it out, scientist says
LIFE probably did start on Mars, but a catastrophic event must have completely wiped it out, a scientist has claimed.

Any life on Mars was wiped out by a "catastrophic event'
Lewis Datrnelll, a UK Space Agency research Fellow, believes early microscopic
forms of life may well have formed on Mars billions of years ago, but a major
environmental event later made the Red Planet completely inhospitable even to the
single-celled organisms that may have formed.
Mr Dartnell, who is also author of The Knowledge: How to Rebuild our World from
Scratch, a New York Times and Sunday Times best-selling book explaining how to
rebuild society in the event of an apocalypse, said: "Something catastrophic has
gone wrong on Mars environmentally."
He said the only life that would have developed before that would have been
singled celled - "only the bacteria you would see under a microscope" - but
whatever happened wiped out its chance of evolving into more complex creatures.

mmmmm thanks for all that - I am going to watch the video a bit later..
But straight away I am reminded of the mission patch idea that was submitted by Jack Schmitt...

"Jack Schmitt was the geologist astronaut on that mission, and he thought Stonehenge would be a wonderful image to include."

and wasn't there an artistic poster with ruins of a stone circle on Mars that some high up bod in the Space Industry had on their office wall....Richard Hoagland showed it somewhere - (this is from memory might try and find it later)
I have often thought that revelations about ruins of Ancient Monuments on the Moon and Mars could be a good way of getting some serious Official Disclosure up and running -
I would definitely enjoy that anyway... :)......bring it on

Has NASA discovered an ocean on Mars? Space agency poised to announce 'major

Many think scientists are due to announce the discovery of flowing water

Flowing water also raises the prospect of discovering alien life on Mars

There is growing speculation that NASA may be about to announce it has
discovered liquid water on Mars after the space agency called a press conference
for Monday entitled 'Mars mystery solved'.
At the center of the rumors is Lujendra Ojha, a grad student at Georgia Tech, who
has been announced as one of the speakers alongside two of NASA's most senior
scientists.Ojha is credited with 'accidentally' discovering the first major evidence
that moving water existed on Mars after studying images of the planet's surface
back in 2011 while at the University of Arizona.
http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2015/09/26/23/2CCDD45200000578-3250431-image-a-1_1443307141612.jpg
NASA promised to solve one of Mars' mysteries at a press conference on Monday
with speaker Lujendra Ojha, a post-grad student who 'accidentally' discovered
evidence of flowing water on the planet in 2011 (pictured)
http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2015/09/26/23/2CCDFCC300000578-3250431-image-a-2_1443307145275.jpg
By observing pictures of gullies on Mars over time, using a computer program to
filer out defects such as shadows, Ojha observed dark 'fingers' spreading across the
planet's surface
Alongside Alfred McEwen, who is also tabled to speak at the NASA press
conference, Ojha decided to study images of gullies on Mars's surface taken by a
fellow researcher, Colin Dundas. For his study, Ojha edited the images to remove
blemishes such as shadows and light interference, only to discover dark finger-like
markings that moved through the gullies over time. Not only did the markings
appear to move, they did so in a pattern that would be consistent with flowing
water.Ojha branded the discovery a 'lucky accident', saying he had no idea what
the shapes were at first, and adding that they had not even occurred in the gullies
he had been planning to study.None the less, once the potential significance of the
shapes was realized, he committed to 'years of research' in trying to prove that the
markings were actually created by flowing water.
Ojha then moved on the Georgia Tech where he continued to study the gullies.
Another Georgia Tech grad student, Mary Beth Wilhelm, is also tabled to speak
alongside Ojha, and is likely to have been working with him at the University.
Since Ojha's discovery, observations of similar sites on Mars have revealed that the
finger-like patterns seem to emerge in warmer seasons, and die away during cooler
seasons. This could potentially mean that there is flowing water, and even an ocean,
under the surface of the Red Planet, that rises to ground level during warmer weather.
http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2015/09/26/23/2CCDFCBE00000578-3250431-image-a-5_1443307502881.jpg
These fingers not only spread, they moved in patterns usually associated with the
flow of water, leading scientists to theorize that there might be liquid water under
the surface of Mars
http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2015/09/26/23/01DA80C6000004B0-3250431-image-a-4_1443307161033.jpg
While we have known water existed on Mars for decades, after the discovery of its
ice caps (pictured), if concrete evidence has been found of liquid water on the Red
Planet, it would be the first discovery of its kind
5s9lKeZ8tmw
If scientists have found definitive evidence of liquid water on Mars then the
implications could be huge, as evidence of flowing water is still the best indication
researchers have that life may once have existed, or may yet come into existence,
on an alien world.
Evidence of the presence of water on Mars is nothing new. Polar ice caps were
discovered on the planet nearly four decades ago, and erosion patterns on the
surface suggest that rivers and oceans may have existed there in its early years.
However, with low gravity and a thin atmosphere, it is thought that this water
largely evaporated out into space, instead of falling back down, as it would have
done on Earth.
Concrete evidence of liquid water on another planet would be the first discovery of
its kind. While scientists strongly suspect that liquid water could exist on moons
such as Ceres and Europa, this hypothesis has not yet been proven.
Scheduled to speak on Monday alongside Ojha, McEwen and Williams is Jim Green,
director of planetary science at NASA HQ and Michael Meyer, lead scientist for the
Mars Exploration Program. The conference, which has promised 'a major science
finding from the agency’s ongoing exploration of Mars' will take place at 9am
Eastern Time on Monday

It's not 'Stonehenge', and the write-ups are a little dramatic, but it does sure does seem like a small, megalithic stone circle.

Martian salt streaks 'painted by liquid water'

Dark streaks: Recurring slope lineae can be hundreds of metres long
Scientists think they can now tie dark streaks seen on the surface of Mars to
periodic flows of liquid water. Data from a Nasa satellite shows the features, which
appear on slopes, to be associated with salt deposits.Crucially, such salts could
alter the freezing and vaporisation points of water in Mars's sparse air, keeping it in
a fluid state long enough to move. Lujendra Ojha and colleagues report the findings
in the journal Nature Geoscience.
There are implications for the existence of life on the planet today, because any
liquid water raises the possibility that microbes could also be present. And for
future astronauts on Mars, the identification of water supplies near the surface
would make it easier for them to "live off the land".
Researchers have long wondered whether liquid water might occasionally flow
across the surface today.
Secret source
It is not a simple proposition, because the temperatures are usually well below zero
Celsius and the atmospheric pressure is so low that any liquid H20 will rapidly boil.
But the observation over the past 15 years of gullies and surface streaks that
appear to change with the seasons has heightened the speculation.
Recurring slope lineaeImage copyright NASA/JPL/UA
http://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/624/cpsprodpb/2F9C/production/_85788121_perspective_1-1024x532.jpg
The images on this page are perspective views generated by a computer from MRO data
Dr Ojha has now presented new data from the US space agency's Mars
Reconnaissance Orbiter that seems to solve the conundrum.MRO has an instrument
called Crism that can determine the chemistry of surface materials. It has looked at
four locations where dark streaks are seen to come and go during Martian summer
months.
Crism finds these "recurring slope lineae" (RSL) to be covered with salts.
They are salts - magnesium perchlorate, chlorate and chloride - that can drop the
freezing point of water by 80 degrees and its vaporisation rate by a factor of 10.
The combination allows briney water to stay stable long enough to trickle down
hillsides and crater walls. Quite where the water is coming from to make the
streaks is still unclear, however. The locations studied by MRO are equatorial, and
any stored water in this region of Mars, perhaps in the form of ice, is thought to
exist only at great depth. One possibility is that the salts actually pull the water out
of the atmosphere. But again, it is not known whether there is a sufficient supply in
the air to facilitate this.
Recurring slope lineaeImage copyright NASA/JPL/UA
http://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/624/cpsprodpb/C470/production/_85788205_perspective_12-1024x513.jpg
Any mission to such locations would have to guarantee no Earthly contamination
Another theory is that local aquifers are breaking up to the surface, but this does
not really fit with streaks that appear from the tops of peaks. It is conceivable that
streaks are being formed from different sources in different parts of Mars.
Contamination question
Dr Joe Michalski is a Mars researcher at the Natural History Museum in London. He
called the announcement an exciting development, especially because of its
implications for the potential of microbes existing on the planet today.
"We know from the study of extremophiles on Earth that life can not only survive,
but thrive in conditions that are hyper-arid, very saline or otherwise 'extreme' in
comparison to what is habitable to a human. In fact, on Earth, wherever we find
water, we find life. That is why the discovery of water on Mars over the last 20
years is so exciting."
An interesting consequence of the findings is that space agencies will now have
some extra thinking to do about where they send future landers and rovers.
Current internationally-agreed rules state that missions should be wary of going to
places on Mars where there is likely to be liquid water.
A UK space agency expert on Mars landing sites, Dr Peter Grindrod, told BBC
News: "Planetary protection states that we can't go anywhere there is liquid water
because we can't sterilise our spacecraft well enough to guarantee we won't
contaminate these locations. So if an RSL is found within the landing zone of a
probe, then you can't land there. That would be kind of ironic for Europe's
forthcoming ExoMars rover because it's designed to look for life."

NASA Announces Discovery Of Flowing Water On Mars, Sept 28, 2015

New findings from NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) provide the
strongest evidence yet that liquid water flows intermittently on present-day Mars.
Using an imaging spectrometer on MRO, researchers detected signatures of
hydrated minerals on slopes where mysterious streaks are seen on the Red Planet.
These darkish streaks appear to ebb and flow over time. They darken and appear to
flow down steep slopes during warm seasons, and then fade in cooler seasons.
They appear in several locations on Mars when temperatures are above minus 10
degrees Fahrenheit (minus 23 Celsius), and disappear at colder times.
“Our quest on Mars has been to ‘follow the water,’ in our search for life in the
universe, and now we have convincing science that validates what we’ve long
suspected,” said John Grunsfeld, astronaut and associate administrator of NASA’s
Science Mission Directorate in Washington. “This is a significant development, as it
appears to confirm that water -- albeit briny -- is flowing today on the surface of Mars.”

Timing is key....when it comes to inception.
Just carefully observe all the news and the many subjects that you can not confirm its validity with rationale or actual experience.
This is how the masses is taught in this day and age...
Simple example:
Today, not one religious follower can detail with confidence the facial features of their Savior...but they were condition well enough to see "Jesus in Toast".
its all a setup.

Curiosity rover: The reward for 'whale watching' on Mars

Whale Rock is about 50cm high and is made from sediment grains that bounced along a rippling stream bed
Whale Rock. It's got quite a story to tell.
When scientists first saw it in images returned from Nasa's Curiosity rover on Mars,
they really weren't sure what to make of it.Sitting proud on top of a stack of finely
layered mudstones, this coarser sandstone outcrop seemed a little out of place.
So, the team commanded the robot to drive up and down for a bit, to look at some
other enticing geology in Gale Crater. But each time Curiosity came back for another
peek, the head-scratching continued. What was Whale Rock, and why was it there?
This week the team released its considered interpretation of the sediments
observed in Gale during more than a year's roving by Curiosity.
The report, published in Science magazine, describes how these sediments are
likely the remains of streams and rivers that flowed over the crater's rim and across
its floor, slowing and branching into deltas that ultimately fed a succession of
persistent lakes.
And Whale Rock, it turns out, has something of a starring role in this story.
"It's the rock that gives us confidence that we've got our model right," says
Sanjeev Gupta, a senior scientist on the mission.
Much of what is in the Science paper was first discussed last December in a mission-
team teleconference with reporters. The intervening months have witnessed the
hard graft needed to corral all the evidence into the kind of arguments that will
pass muster in a peer-reviewed scholarly journal. And those arguments are compelling.
