How Do I Handle the Fear That I'm Feeling?
acknowledge that you feel it, allow your self to feel it; realize that there is no action needed and it is (as usual) a reaction based on limited data sets.
(this fit's most "fear" situations faced by 1st world man)

Oh, for those of us who already have an interest in so-called "self-realisation", here's an excellent "Pointer" from Paul Hedderman in which I'd say he very clearly illuminates why the outward-looking-self (our normal mode of everyday-living) will never "get it" ... but as soon as your "attention" is reversed it can happen that "you" suddenly see "what you're not" and I agree with Paul when he says :
It's the seeing of what I'm not ... that's what I am
nBIwSwu5hmE
Indeed, you can "live your life fully" but it's not from the position of the "illusory self", instead, it's AS what you ARE, not as what you appear to be !!!

Without fear - John Butler
"In the present moment, there's no fear. Try it for yourself, and feel the peaceful joy. You don't need faith - it's a simple, straightforward demonstration of what's provided. Just be present to feel the comfort and safety of 'everlasting arms', and the love of God surpassing anything that ever comes from man."

I am seriously working on the ideals of creating a beautiful life.
https://biblehub.com/philippians/4-8.htm
Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Finally. Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. Philippians 3:1
I think that this opportunity gifted is take hold of some new principles. It is not enough for god to watch creation. In the depths of our soul is god. Can we work with that to change the paradigm of the old illusion? This is the perfect impetus for us to take responsibility for living the good news. This is simply that everything we experience is really truly maya and just a state of "mind". The good news is that everything is happening amazingly fast so we don't have to wait for the imagination to appear in front of our eyes.
There are principles that work IN ANY WAY WE CHOOSE with Free Will. We really have free will! Free will means there must be infinite possibilities or one would be forced to choose the same thing as other ones. There has to be a way to make infinite possibility to be freed into materialization. Or it would not be "free". We have now arrived at the end of an age. The new age is our own possibility imagined. The kink we have been given is IMO the clarion call. What happens if people make the ideals they thought impossibly good be their constant prayer. All day long "thinking" on THESE wonderful imaginings makes it happen in real time. This is free will as we always asked... This eclipses trying to think about how all this ever happened. It is all a story in Maya. We can work with this principle and think of everything we ever dreamed.
God made us natural and we have a natural kind of story. It is natural to have change and it is natural as humans to be responsible for conceiving the story as we like. We have bodies but we are soul and body in one if we so choose. This makes everything so much more amazing. It is a relationship with the Unknown God that changes us SUPER NATURALLY in a direction of imagining the best. When we truly feel beloved by that larger love, we can love more. This is all a natural experience to work with LOVE and thrive. Love makes it all easy because we feel super natural and LOVE says yes, YOU ARE more beautiful and more beautiful.
Be super natural, it's the new baseline for us as HUMAN on a new earth.
Every one who decides can be the one to imagine everything here and see it come into view sooner than we ever thought. Know however, you will see yourself so the golden rule is the way.

I discovered him last year, his teachings are so profound and beautiful. And there are actually nowadays quite some people/teacher who filter through his work and make it accessible to many people. I like the energy of Brian, whose channel you found. Also Brian’s Interview with Mr 2020 is excellent, I think 2020 touches on very fine nuances in Nevilles work, one can see that he put it to use in real life with himself and many people he worked with.

Current virus.
Whatever you believe about this --not everyone gets it, some that do have a mild version, some dont -- some die.
What I am getting round to saying is, becoming spiritually aware is the answer.
Every moment spent in any spiritual practise has a positive effect on the collective consciousness.
Raising the collective affects all-- the so called bad guys are part of the collective --there is no separation -- no one is outside the collective.
The Late Dr David Hawkins had illustrations of consciousness -- one enlightened being is lifting the collective more than all the bad are degrading it.
He was asked how many enlightened does it take to save the world-- he answered "Just one"
So please keep up your commitment to learning about spirituality and practising whatever you are attracted to.
YOU MAKE a DIFFERENCE in ways you will never know.

This is about Gurdjieff's practical exercises for use. It is touching on some of the work of accessing "higher hydrogens" which is a higher form of "food". To pray is explained in a way I never thought about it.
Delving deeper into some of G.I. Gurdjieff’s ideas and practices, we continue our discussion with Father Joseph Azize, author of the recently published book "Gurdjieff: Mysticism, Contemplation, & Exercises”. Among a broad range of related topics covered, Fr. Azize describes the esoteric dynamics of prayer as it relates to the 4 Ideals exercises and the types of impressions that we may access and ‘digest’ as a result. The detrimental effects of ‘negative emotions’ are also examined - as they relate to the growing irrationality that surrounds us, and the necessary work of growing one’s consciousness and conscience to counter these manifestations for one’s self, and for others. Further to this is an increased awareness of one’s own thinking and feeling centers and how strengthening these ‘bodies’ plays such a large part in the growth of an individual.
On today’s MindMatters we look back to the remaining fragments of G.I. Gurdjieff’s teachings and exercises so that they may not be lost to obscurity, and forward, because this time we’re living in necessitates their use. In addition to these issues, Fr. Azize speaks of his own synthesis of these ideas regarding his work in the priesthood and the Christian tradition. Finally, a brief but informed survey of some other important Gurdjieff books. In these times of accelerated change, what if anything can Gurdjieff’s work do to assist us in our response to it, and our working on ourselves?

The ordinary is spiritual.
An opportunity.
Cut the grass today front and back.
Some passers by smiled and nodded -- keeping their distance one or two joked -- the consensus being - well the grass grows regardless.
Been building a kit guitar, purchased from Thomann in Germany -- made in Indonesia probably.
Anyway used tru--oil to finish it, looks good but the finish very slightly rough in places-- thats in spite of using wet and dry sandpaper and clearing away any residue carefully-- the oil may have become contaminated I had not put the top on properly.
Once upon a time I would have been frustrated, now its "Thats life."
So leaving well alone -- next job is to put it together.
There is an appreciation of everyone involved in supplying the parts --the wood the design -- the works and the delivery from Germany to Inverness for £10 -- thats by air. How they can do that I dont know. The kit cost £60.
So there is gratitude --enjoyment in the making --then there will be the enjoyment of playing.
Spiritual practise is so important and practical.
Fear is a big killer -- destroys the immune system.
Spiritual practise removes fear.
The devil finds work for idle hands -- the devil is ego -- nothing else.
So positive work comes from the joy of doing -- being in the moment, as though you could be elsewhere.
Its simple.
With love

Life Beyond Mind
On this morning walk, Moojibaba introduces us to the real opportunity of a human life—to discover our very own nature beyond ego.
“The only fact that is unchanging in us is that we are pure consciousness or pure awareness. All the interrelated opposites that we perceive through the mind, through our feelings, are observed as appearing within us, they come and go.
What is witnessing the coming and going?
Reflect.
And if you are drawn to such introspection, then you’ll find that a wonderful force begins to open up to take you deeper.”

ABOUT VEDANTA
Vedanta is one of the world’s most ancient religious philosophies and one of its broadest. Based on the Vedas, the sacred scriptures of India, Vedanta affirms the oneness of existence, the divinity of the soul, and the harmony of religions.

In Dr Joe Dispenza words, make some "requests." Write those questions and thoughts down on paper. The more specific the questions, the more clear will be your answers. While you're sleeping, your subconscious mind will get to work on those things. From the book You are the Placebo by Dr Joe Dispensa.
"Never go to sleep without a request to your subconscious."--Thomas Edison
Your subconscious never rests and is always on duty because it controls your heartbeat, blood circulation, and digestion. It controls all the vital processes and functions of your body and knows the answers to all your problems. What happens on your subconscious level influences what happens on your conscious level. In other words, what goes on internally, even unconsciously, eventually becomes your reality. As Napoleon Hill further states, "The subconscious mind will translate into its physical equivalent, by the most direct and practical method available."
Consequently, your goal is to direct your subconscious mind to create the outcomes you seek. Additionally, you want to tap into your subconscious mind to unlock connections and solutions to your problems and projects.
What does mean when he refers to space?
When he refers to space, he is referring to the space that exists between everything and all around us. For more details about Meditation, please read the book, and the last chapter on the subject "How to make your own meditations".

My perspective on similar kinds of pronouncements reminds me of the explanation that the most hateful souls hijacked the emotional world long since and run the cabal like robots, and lure the rest of us into the consensus-reality, to the extent that we depend on it's untenability, and also it's alluring imaginary stuff which is part of the boundless emotional world, all of which is unfit for true evolution; yet souls remain free to continue in the circumstances which they uphold, for however long they so choose.

Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek

to be understood as to understand,
to be loved, as to love.

It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,

APPEAL FOR THE CHURCH AND THE WORLD
to Catholics and all people of good will
Sign the appeal
Veritas liberabit vos.
Jn 8:32
In this time of great crisis, we Pastors of the Catholic Church, by virtue of our mandate, consider it our sacred duty to make an Appeal to our Brothers in the Episcopate, to the Clergy, to Religious, to the holy People of God and to all men and women of good will. This Appeal has also been undersigned by intellectuals, doctors, lawyers, journalists and professionals who agree with its content, and may be undersigned by those who wish to make it their own.
The facts have shown that, under the pretext of the Covid-19 epidemic, the inalienable rights of citizens have in many cases been violated and their fundamental freedoms, including the exercise of freedom of worship, expression and movement, have been disproportionately and unjustifiably restricted. Public health must not, and cannot, become an alibi for infringing on the rights of millions of people around the world, let alone for depriving the civil authority of its duty to act wisely for the common good. This is particularly true as growing doubts emerge from several quarters about the actual contagiousness, danger and resistance of the virus. Many authoritative voices in the world of science and medicine confirm that the media’s alarmism about Covid-19 appears to be absolutely unjustified.
We have reason to believe, on the basis of official data on the incidence of the epidemic as related to the number of deaths, that there are powers interested in creating panic among the world’s population with the sole aim of permanently imposing unacceptable forms of restriction on freedoms, of controlling people and of tracking their movements. The imposition of these illiberal measures is a disturbing prelude to the realization of a world government beyond all control.
We also believe that in some situations the containment measures that were adopted, including the closure of shops and businesses, have precipitated a crisis that has brought down entire sectors of the economy. This encourages interference by foreign powers and has serious social and political repercussions. Those with governmental responsibility must stop these forms of social engineering, by taking measures to protect their citizens whom they represent, and in whose interests they have a serious obligation to act. Likewise, let them help the family, the cell of society, by not unreasonably penalizing the weak and elderly, forcing them into a painful separation from their loved ones. The criminalization of personal and social relationships must likewise be judged as an unacceptable part of the plan of those who advocate isolating individuals in order to better manipulate and control them.
We ask the scientific community to be vigilant, so that cures for Covid-19 are offered in honesty for the common good. Every effort must be made to ensure that shady business interests do not influence the choices made by government leaders and international bodies. It is unreasonable to penalize those remedies that have proved to be effective, and are often inexpensive, just because one wishes to give priority to treatments or vaccines that are not as good, but which guarantee pharmaceutical companies far greater profits, and exacerbate public health expenditures. Let us also remember, as Pastors, that for Catholics it is morally unacceptable to develop or use vaccines derived from material from aborted fetuses.
We also ask government leaders to ensure that forms of control over people, whether through tracking systems or any other form of location-finding, are rigorously avoided. The fight against Covid-19, however serious, must not be the pretext for supporting the hidden intentions of supranational bodies that have very strong commercial and political interests in this plan. In particular, citizens must be given the opportunity to refuse these restrictions on personal freedom, without any penalty whatsoever being imposed on those who do not wish to use vaccines, contact tracking or any other similar tool. Let us also consider the blatant contradiction of those who pursue policies of drastic population control and at the same time present themselves as the savior of humanity, without any political or social legitimacy. Finally, the political responsibility of those who represent the people can in no way be left to “experts” who can indeed claim a kind of immunity from prosecution, which is disturbing to say the least.
We strongly urge those in the media to commit themselves to providing accurate information and not penalizing dissent by resorting to forms of censorship, as is happening widely on social media, in the press and on television. Providing accurate information requires that room be given to voices that are not aligned with a single way of thinking. This allows citizens to consciously assess the facts, without being heavily influenced by partisan interventions. A democratic and honest debate is the best antidote to the risk of imposing subtle forms of dictatorship, presumably worse than those our society has seen rise and fall in the recent past.
Finally, as Pastors responsible for the flock of Christ, let us remember that the Church firmly asserts her autonomy to govern, worship, and teach. This autonomy and freedom are an innate right that Our Lord Jesus Christ has given her for the pursuit of her proper ends. For this reason, as Pastors we firmly assert the right to decide autonomously on the celebration of Mass and the Sacraments, just as we claim absolute autonomy in matters falling within our immediate jurisdiction, such as liturgical norms and ways of administering Communion and the Sacraments. The State has no right to interfere, for any reason whatsoever, in the sovereignty of the Church. Ecclesiastical authorities have never refused to collaborate with the State, but such collaboration does not authorize civil authorities to impose any sort of ban or restriction on public worship or the exercise of priestly ministry. The rights of God and of the faithful are the supreme law of the Church, which she neither intends to, nor can, abdicate. We ask that restrictions on the celebration of public ceremonies be removed.
We should like to invite all people of good will not to shirk their duty to cooperate for the common good, each according to his or her own state and possibilities and in a spirit of fraternal charity. The Church desires such cooperation, but this cannot disregard either a respect for natural law or a guarantee of individual freedoms. The civil duties to which citizens are bound imply the State’s recognition of their rights.
We are all called to assess the current situation in a way consistent with the teaching of the Gospel. This means taking a stand: either with Christ or against Christ. Let us not be intimidated or frightened by those who would have us believe that we are a minority: Good is much more widespread and powerful than the world would have us believe. We are fighting against an invisible enemy that seeks to divide citizens, to separate children from their parents, grandchildren from their grandparents, the faithful from their pastors, students from teachers, and customers from vendors. Let us not allow centuries of Christian civilization to be erased under the pretext of a virus, and an odious technological tyranny to be established, in which nameless and faceless people can decide the fate of the world by confining us to a virtual reality. If this is the plan to which the powers of this earth intend to make us yield, know that Jesus Christ, King and Lord of History, has promised that “the gates of Hell shall not prevail” (Mt 16:18).
Let us entrust government leaders and all those who rule over the fate of nations to Almighty God, that He may enlighten and guide them in this time of great crisis. May they remember that, just as the Lord will judge us Pastors for the flock which he has entrusted to us, so will He also judge government leaders for the peoples whom they have the duty to defend and govern.
With faith, let us beseech the Lord to protect the Church and the world. May the Blessed Virgin, Help of Christians, crush the head of the ancient Serpent and defeat the plans of the children of darkness.

The time of evaluation of everyone has always been here, everywhere and inside us.
I know that spiritual awakening can work through the intelligence of the emotion of my heart,
something still hard to explain in words, but which fills and blesses the sovereignty of my soul, a fullness that sometimes flows everywhere and over everything in an almost disarming uniqueness with all that life on Earth and beyond means.
I can actually say that I almost do not cultivate my personality here, but I increase my individuality and my freedom of soul in a continuous escape of the spirit, a way to shine, a state of, I would say, resuscitation and restoration increasing in stages of interconnection and introspection into a specific phenomenon that only I understand.
The previous expression of spiritual awakening conceptualizes me in the idea of sharing my awakening with the whole world and this is a real challenge :)

So Chris. I have a question or is it an observation I'd like your opinion on.
It is not about enlightenment, something I've sort of put on the back burner because of too much opposition.
Let's see if I can put it into words.
The biological imperative to propagate the species, any species, is hard-wired into the organism, the individual. There is no danger of any species dying out because of lack of interest in reproduction
But the longevity of the individual extends beyond the biological imperative to reproduce.
Bringing it back to humans, a human's life span is almost double that required to successfully reproduce and to pass on experiential knowledge to any offspring. So that leaves a whole long time of redundancy which is mostly unproductive and wasteful.
If you are still with me, it follows then, that there is room for another type of productivity, another means to add value to our long, pointless, lives.
Mark Passio talks of morality in terms of natural law. I tend to disagree with that statement. There is no need for morality as far as biological imperative is concerned. The imperative to reproduce is the only morality of the natural world. But humans, with the ability to self-reflect, morality becomes very important. Yet again there is no moral priority in the natural world except for reproduction - and it is stretching the meaning of the word to even it call it morality - it is merely a hard-wired imperative without which life would long ago have died out.
Morality becomes a concern once the biological imperative has been mitigated, either by age or by choice.
And here is what I wanted to get another opinion about:
Morality is the imperative of the individual, caught in the biological back waters, to give life meaning and lend importance to the individual.
Morality is the framework through which a self-aware entity becomes aware of another imperative, the imperative of the sovereign and the rights and privileges required to formalize the relationship between God and man.
Man looks at the beasts in the fields and realizes that although they have a foolproof method to ensure the survival of their species, they have no need for a connection to their creator. But as a self-aware being, the mere fact they can think requires something more. It requires an evaluation of priorities beyond the ability of the animals.
The individual is of no importance to life except to stay alive long enough to reproduce. Since man lives far longer and is self-aware, morality becomes a tool to express the unique character of the individual and help explain the mysterious wonder of being human.
Is there even a question in there?

Ernie I will ponder this excellent question and give a fuller answer.
First thought we -- some of us be hard wired to have a life partner -- nothing to do with morality --swans tend to mate for life.
Morality is a human concept.
Males can father thousands of children--women one or two at a time (twins)
Dont think male as on the whole are naturally monogamous.
More later
Chris
Part two
There is no heavenly Father making up rules for humans.
there are temples in India showing males sexually interacting with more than one female at a time.
In my teens I had two girl friends in separate towns -- Lived else where every weekend there was no intercourse. I loved both equally.
I have been married three times I still have good relations with all of them.
There is mutual respect.
Harems work -- in that culture -- at least seem to.
Im against woman being used -- it would not be good to get them pregnant then disappear -- so it seems so called morality has purpose.
Ch
Part 3
Not sure I fully understand your musings.
However it seems there is an energetic need --perrhaps Divine needs to experience itself in other forms -- the energy of love being even stronger than "lust" in many cases. Something profound over an above propagation is going on.
Quality of life seems a necessity for longevity.
The life span has increased greatly in the last hundred years
Im no expert but I respect your question.
If I have not fully answered please expand the "question".

If,
The morality of the cosmos is derived from the imperative to propagate life.
and,
The morality of nature is derived from the imperative to continue each species.
then,
Is the morality of the individual derived from the continuation of something...or what?
greybeard
15th May 2020, 20:32
If the first originals arrived without morality there would have been a need to invent one.
Conditioning evolves-- what works remains.
Early days women might not have need a partner -- food readily available other women helping pregnant ones.
Some cultures had women living in separate huts.
Later cultures needed man to go out and provide, build shelter.
With evolution women might have been subconsciously drawn to the most succesful men for survival of their offspring.
Best provider.
Who knows Ernie - im just guessing
Chris

It is just a line of thought, might not go anywhere.
It might be that it is our limited model of the universe that is causing cognitive dissonance. It seems that the 'cosmos' has the wrong definition. Nature we sort of understand is life on earth - but even that has broader definitions including 'non-living' parts of the natural world.
If we tightened the definitions to mean only:
cosmos = all life
and,
nature = all life on earth
then could we say,
individual = 1 specific life
And if cosmos and nature each is concerned with their own continuation, then the individual must also be concerned with their own life.
But since the individual is part of a collective of individuals, the individual's morality must include all the other individuals.
So, the morality of the individual has much more impact if the individual upholds the rights of every other individual than to concern themselves with their own.
What I can see is that the highest morality is the upholding of the rights of other individuals, with the understanding that my rights are only protected if I protect the rights of others!

What I do affects the collective consciousness so it makes sense to be of "good character"
What goes around comes around --Karma.

I hope you do not mind a few posts here about this, but if it is a bad fit maybe the mods can move it.
I am not finished, it seems.
This all came about over a comment I read in a post somewhere here that said that morality is a human invention. This threw me for a loop because firstly I thought it was a fact that this is God's morality that humanity has taken on as its responsibility. But if there is no god, then that falls flat on its face, doesn't it? And yet there would still be morality without god.
But since I feel that morality is an intrinsic part of humanity's make-up, there has to be a mechanism, or at least a fundamental argument or line of thought that leads to its derivation without subjective interference. Morality can not be a choice.
So continuing from the last post, whose final point was:
The rights of the individual are only protected if the individual protects the right of others.
We could make an observation to say that in this society we do not practice justice, instead we have perfected vengeance. Vengeance is the individual attempting to seek to protect their own rights single handedly. This can only lead to more injustice as the public (the others) is removed from the equation. Those others in this case are in the same boat, but because it is not a class action, each case is tried not for justice but for vengeance. Those others are left to fend each for themselves.
It could also be said that the state of self-reflection has been largely ignored in our societies. Consciousness is considered a by-product of the body, and not a fundamental state of its own. This has lead to the barbaric and violent societies we live in today.
We have not accepted morality as essential, but consider it an extravagance. Like when we learn how to feed every one, and when I have gotten what I want, and I am firmly above the position you can ever hope to achieve, then I might be ready to deign a bit of largess in your direction, albeit for a short time only. This is not morality. It is fear and greed rolled into one. Morality comes first in a civilized world.
And that leads to the point I wish to make now:
That our world is not civilized because we do not follow a standard moral code, without which the peoples of the world are suffering horrendously - and we know it! We know it and we keep making excuses. Yet we are to blame because freedom is paid for in blood - and we would rather live shackled than spill our own.
The next time someone states this world is a civilization, explain to them that a civilization is as civil as the poorest member of society is treated. This world is barbaric.
Mankind's dilemma is that he finds himself elevated above the animals he is still a part of but feels apart from because of his unique self-reflecting nature. Man is no longer an animal, yet he still acts like one, continually falling back on savagery to implement his will and to dominate the rest of humanity. As an animal such a notion is unheard of, but as a self-reflecting entity of a higher order it is simply lazy and irresponsible...and insane.
Morality has to be defined and adopted by all humanity with good intent. Then it must be vigorously implemented and defended.
Until that time we are merely dysfunctional animals that need to be put down because we are dangerously close to destroying the natural order of our biosphere.
Remember: "The tree of liberty is watered by the blood of patriots" is a battle-cry, not a euphemism. Liberty requires constant vigilance and the willingness to give up everything in its defense. That is because without liberty, there is no true life as civilized beings, there is only tyranny.
We have become soft, jaded. We feel a sort of privilege. But we do not deserve to feel that way because we have done nothing to deserve it. We are living off the honor and commitment of previous generations who did take up the call, and did sacrifice their lives, and who did and do deserve the privilege they carved out for themselves and for future generations.
We owe them that same dedication for the sake of our children and future generations.

Ernie Im happy with your posts and I would be enthused if others joined in.
Anything I post is not necessarily true -- just the thought of the moment
Chris
I was inspired by "just the thought of the moment"
At first sight in the nearest moment in the first audition of thought and feeling, an infinite column of creation traverses me, I find myself instantly beyond time and space while a wonderful devastating emotion unique authentic and lightning, in sculpting the shape of my heart in -a door open to the Universe, converges me in a message of celebration of unconditional love for the entire human race.
The story goes further in the workshop of my human soul and in my meditative artistic sensitivity, but my moment now defines infinity in the journey of my free spirit, the refrain I sing now, in the vulnerable ferocity with which I can write, is my passion, to feel alive!
I would like to suspend a moment of "now" for the good visionary and luminous legacy in the spirit of good and the immortal creation of what we can call future generations.
Probably the story of the good inspiration of each of us, poses in an absolute way a special, even unique, way to love, from the whole being and from all the conscious and unconscious springs of the human soul, the peace of finding ourselves together on this planet all embraced in a big hug and happiness and spiritual fulfillment.
This is my moment, now, in fact, I was writing this tonight in a larger ensemble, in my book, but,
I want to give my awakening especially to visitors so that they can find the deepest and purest individual meaning of living and meditation in their very existence, a gift that we have been given to cherish.

Thanks for breaking up the silence and my diatribe. It is very trying to me, and a bit hurtful, but I am used to that.
So, I will make my last post here for the next few years, to finish up this line of thought that just keeps coming. I cannot stop it.
I did not want to start a thread because I thought it would be just a quick memo. Now here I am with a book full of ideas on this. But I'll just jump right to the end for lack of interest.
Just a quick note that I had no idea where this was leading, but my mind will not shut off. (I am going to leave the pronoun corrections out in protest)
Man is divorced from the animals and that is his greatest misconception. For he himself is an animal. Considering himself the king of the world he ravages the natural world as if it has nothing to do with his heritage, his lineage, or his future.
Even with his ability to rationalize he has failed to honor his debt to the natural world or to his progeny.
Without a declaration of rights for all mankind, man has abrogated his only responsibility. Without recognition of equal status for all mankind, it was inevitable that the world would become a place of great suffering and inequality.
Man is neither civil nor reasonable. He acts as though he has no soul. More accurately, he acts like an animal!
It seems like such a simple, inconsequential idea. But it is in fact the most important concept man could ever grasp.
You want to be enlightened? Learn the one rule for all mankind: TREAT YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF!
The rest just lulls your mind into a state of bliss, the state you were before you decided to go on mission! It is nice to reminisce but there is work to do. Enlightenment does not mean watching the world implode with a smile on your face!
There is a line of reasoning that leads to the higher levels of intelligence and emotional maturity. It is not arrived at by staring at a candle flame, although I guess it can be if after you take action.
Protect your mind and your heart, do not give in to fear. But also don't expect the aliens to save you, or god, or the angels.
There is only me and you. We came here to get it done.
Let's go do it!

Ive been a bi quiet Ernie.
In a way what you are speaking of is enlightenment --the genuine article.
Jesus was enlightened and yes all that is needed is Treat Your neighbour as yourself
Enlightenment means "Removal of ignorance" the ignorance being the though that we are separate from all else.
One way or another you hurt others you hurt yourself an the opposite applies.
Because we are One the monk sitting in the cave meditating is lifting the collective consciousness as he lifts his own in silence
His non action lifts all.
An enlightened one is incapable of wrong action --he may give tough love but he is there for you.
Enlightenment is a desire less state no ego.
Keep contributing here Ernie there are different ways of getting it done.

Dear Chris,
I love you.
I did not mean to disparage your thread. I think it is one of the best here at Avalon, and amongst the most important.
Nor was I directing any comments at you, or any one in particular. I am frustrated, and probably should take a break.
But I am very concerned the wrong narrative is winning and so the only possible avenue of retaliation is citing the crucial facts as simply and as truthfully as I can.
I care with all my heart, and I not only want, but intend to see, our side win! It is only right, and right always wins in the end.
We are at the end!
I know you feel strongly about this too.
This is one of my favourite threads and I am a regular visitor. It has changed and expanded my views/understanding on self-discovery. So, thank you.

I am a well-meaning being in the will, apart from an ego built by nature, I am devoted to the integrated freedom of the spirit in the whole atmosphere of the spiritual life as a good integrative principle essential in any sense.
The spirit is freedom, it does not know the constraint of objective things; In him, everything is determined from within, from the depths. To be in the spirit is to be in oneself. The need in the natural world for the spirit is only a reflection of inner processes.
Acquiring true freedom means entering the spiritual world.
In the soul, in people and in the world of nature, it is as difficult to find freedom as it is immortality. You must discern and manifest freedom in life and spiritual experience; it cannot be proved, nor deduced from the nature of things, in any object known to us, as a natural object, it disappears and becomes imperceptible.
Any rationalization of freedom kills her.
The interest in free will was pedagogical and utilitarian, it is not essentially spiritual.
We cannot reject the deep consciousness, the doctrine of freedom of choice, understood as the freedom of indifference, obviously satisfies us the least.
The work of freedom in grace is a work of art in a clear mind and a sufficiently efficient soul.
I would like all the suffering and pain in the world to stop for good.
As a volunteer, in my youth I saw very, very sick people who were on the last road and part of me remained there in their suffering, also children, teenagers and people around the globe still suffer, I am a person who exists through pain.
From all my experience with people, I have learned that nothing can take the freedom of spirit and the creation of good in the soul, in the end not even pain which is just a concept ultimately irrelevant.
The importance of being in my own existence and besides billions of wonderful people and in the bosom of the most powerful energy of the Earth under the sign of Mother Nature, often catalyzes me in my own process of consciousness here by simple existential ethics in honor of good, and for that I had a lot to put aside, but I'm happy with the pretty little bit I hold in my soul.
I stop here to say hello to everyone and visitors, to offer you a cup of tea, a sweet cake and a kind of poetry emerging from my soul :flower:

So much autumn falls in brightness among us living
in the trembling it crushes us by falling into the ruby thought of dawn
the anthology of a life fallen in the twilight of the sun
it directs us into the glow of the dazzling intelligence
In the skillful elegance of the perfume of existence, the collecting one
a bank of thoughts rests on the crushing secret of life
On the threshold of the horizon in full decay of heavy tears of joy
white summer sunrise on stone ridges aged in promises of living life
Heavy petrified springs discharge unprepared
Their breath of energy renews those torrents of life in human nature that have not yet been found
An autumn in a song lost in the rays of serene resurrection that takes us in announcing the coming worlds
a world painted in colorful sweets in the caress of all dreamed hopes
I gather in my arms rays in a wandering mirage full of trembling and shivering
A laughing sunrise writes over the hearts still in the fog, the light in the truth that lies ahead
a successful morning looks unmistakable, a new step in the light of a time that teaches us
Composed in the destiny of words and essences, images always run in constant frequencies
A sandy road traverses in me distances in hourglasses of circles in influences
I am the point in the dimensions of passing and flying in flow and the beauty of giving
I am prose in chosen bouquets invaluable for fighting in vain to win
A passing star that ignites in my heart a match, a mystery in a thoughtful way
drips destiny into the mystery of verse living the distance in writings that burn in a universe
I open the dialogue of miracle, love and meaning, the answer in a glory of lyrics and sweet consensus
In my veins flows the heat of fire that in dreams assumes my nourishment
In angel's wings I write among rhymes and songs in the sound of light, infinity
The silence in deep silence overwhelms me in the bustle of minds in forms that want to sink me
But the poem reaps salvation in words from where the wild refuge serves the mirage in deep faith.

I really resonate with this statement but it is the Catholics and I have a thing for them. But truth is truth. I sort of want to send it to my parents and little sis who are fully immersed in the propaganda. Their own church sees through it. haha - but I am not built that way, I won't shatter their world for the sake of being right. They can't take reality - that's why they live in their little bubble.

Priority-- whats yours?
Went for a walk in a forest today it really struck me of the impermanence of life.
There were fresh shoots, young trees, small trees, strong ancient trees, and dead ones.
The stream running through the woods remind me that there is a circle --the stream runs into the river-- the river runs into the ocean - it evaporates into clouds, it rains and so forth.
We come from the ocean of consciousness for a time individual waves.
We are in difficult times and I do what is practical like many here , I sign petitions, I share information but first and foremost I pray and meditate.
The evil can not stand the raising of consciousness and does everything to prevent it--closes places of worship. Prevents going into see elderly relatives--limits those at burials.
So every moment spent in ones own spiritual practise is more effective than going rallies protesting against though there is a place for that.
I have been subject to psychic attack but asking the divine for help stopped that very quickly. I then meditated and was filled with amazing bliss an started laughing uncontrollably -- not Enlightenment but perhaps a sign of the power of prayer over evil.
This is my priority.

To the above video I would add:
And because we are powerful and send out vibrations reflecting our thoughts and emotions continually, which causes a corresponding change in the environment, it is imperative that we assume responsibility at least for our own contributions to the field.
And if we are mature about it, and serious, we might consider how we wish to move forward from here.
Do we wish to make this world a place where we are celebrated as sources of love and resources are spent in the uplifting of the individual so they can add to that wealth in their own unique style?
Or do we wish to continue exploiting humanity and capitalizing on our base fears?

That was beautiful.
The Baghavad Gita is a fount of wisdom on all things spiritual.
I have a deep suspicion of 'the gods' though. I suspect their true motivation, and so listen for discrepancies that might point to their counter intentions. These little gods want worshipers. They are not concerned with the immortal soul except as it pertains to their agenda.
They say that the natural is an effect of the spiritual and that therefore the spiritual is paramount. In other words, it is matters of the spiritual that man should concern themselves with. Consequently, the natural world of bodies is considered superfluous and properly under the dominion of man to do with as man sees fit.
I agree, the world of bodies is unimportant. But, the world of bodies was given a custodian, to look after and manage the natural world. That custodian was/is almost spiritual while in a body, capable of self-reflection, empathy, and rational thinking. Like the captains of our industrial world are looked up to by the rest of us, hoping they will show mercy and uplift the rest of us, we custodians are constantly being asked for mercy by the natural world. But like our betters, we as custodians are reactive, bereft of empathy, and full of superstitions.
As humans, as spiritual beings in natural bodies, we have a responsibility, not to the natural world, since bodies are ultimately extraneous, but to each other. We owe each other custodial care. We are the only ones who can do that on this world. This care, again, is not for me - I don't care. It is for you and you and you.
I observe that we could turn this boat around in an instant and chart a new course. That takes you and you and you.
Suffering is the path of the ignorant - Joy and bliss is the realm of the informed/transformed. As custodians our job is to make of this place a heaven on earth, for our bodies in the little time they have here can do much more good if happy than if struggling to make ends meet.

Interesting. I had an awakening that coincided with my first reading of this book over 20 years ago. For about a 3 month period I experienced something that in retrospect I would describe as a simultaneous state of complete non-attachment and deep connectivity to everything. I didn't have the sense that it was 'caused' by the reading of the book necessarily, but there's no doubt that I connected with the book deeply, and still feel a familiar stirring as I am listening to it again now. Some deeds of love :flower:
For nothing in the world and for the sake of no one and nothing, it is not appropriate to do the slightest harm,
however, in order to bring help to those who need it, you can sometimes postpone a good work or replace it with a better one,
for then you did not destroy the good but changed it into a greater one.
We must suffer the imperfection of another, because imperfection is also accepted by the Earth.
What man cannot accomplish in himself or in others, he must suffer patiently, until the conscience commands otherwise.
Think that maybe it's better to be like that, to have patiently tried to suffer kindly.
Strive patiently to suffer the shortcomings and weaknesses of others, whatever they may be,
because, maybe, you also have many of these that others have to suffer. True piety is gentle and patient, because it shows you who you are ... try.
You have to learn to break yourself in many things, if you want to keep peace and good understanding with others, which is not a small thing to live in a continuous form of teaching others by listening to them in the first place, so never give occasion to complain against yourself and be steadfast in believing in doing the best deeds for others, for change, until death.
Clothes and haircuts mean little. The change of habits and the perfect killing of unfit "passions" make the true MAN. Let us look for nothing but pure consciousness in the chamber of the soul, let's read what touches our heart rather than what moves the mind away.
Perfect piety in perfect wisdom bring the richness of living in the true freedom of the spirit... gain the eternity...

With the best of intentions and the utmost respect, I hope I am allowed to write here today
About listening and obedience
It is a great thing to be able to live in deep obedience to people's desires and hopes, protecting others, protecting yourself and anyway you are always better protected when you listen and not when you command.
To command is to implicitly doubt our own performance in any thing or deed, therefore, not to believe too much in our opinion, however not to be above the other opinions, history proves that utility often obeys and does not command, it is not a philosophy, it is just the payment of a proven circumstance.
I have often heard it said that it is better to listen and receive advice than to give it.
It can also happen that everyone's opinion is good, but not wanting to receive the opinion of others when circumstances or reason require it, we may show pride and stubbornness sometimes.
One of the connections between people is not necessarily gravity but its form of embracing through obedience, an embrace that it will still keeps us steady and orderly.
We do not need to acquire a wealth, as long as for this, at the first impulse, we leave with despair from our own range of action and development, the courage will trouble us and will lose us through places where we hardly get out.
The patience of an insult from someone is in fact almost instantly the rebuke of the conscience of the one who created this sadness, the remedy is the complete audacity in peace, to accept any attempt.
The cause of a research can be almost instantly the own contemplation that sometimes we ask or not, but obviously it is that most of the time we receive the contemplation without understanding it and only sometimes we deserve to cherish it in the highest and purest way.
The weights of anger are greedy and insatiable and hang heavily on the scales of our own evolution, and he who agrees in purity and beauty of inner thought despises to carry the weights of balance after him and mediates the balance when he balances himself, and the secret of all weight is, at weighing, to take into account and measuring the weight of the weight:flower:
The farther the tongue moves away from too much speech, the more light it receives to distinguish thoughts, for even the most blessed mind is confused by much speech, which is why, often, writing in contemplation enriches, and regulates the passion of to rush into thinking.
The mastery of words in the waking hour of thoughts of peace, protects us from the chase of superficiality.
Those who research their soul values hour by hour,
through the smile of those around them, they will enjoy new discoveries and those who control the gaze of the mind starting from the depths of the soul, will find responsibility in the state of happiness of those around them.
He who receives the rich reward by praise, will have to use the reward further in the service of building good souls around him.
Friendship is the order of graceful humility, and self-control with anyone else is like the clear sky in a wonderful spring.
The silence in the emotion of always giving to those around us is incessant meditation on the beauty that surrounds us at every step.
As in the moments of peace and serenity on the sea seen dolphins swim, so in times of peace and serenity on the sea of the heart, undisturbed by anger and impulses, the mysteries and discoveries of consciousness born with us and through us, always move.
The source of soul strengthening promises moments of knowledge and skill in the giving of love. When we feel that the walls of our senses are collapsing, in fact wisdom begins there.
Experience does not consist in declaring that you have researched, and are aware of something, the attempt with the facts integrated in the true utility of a testimony, balances the patience to find the rudder further in the freedom to create substantially a sphere of good.
We cannot run away from the edges of our own consciousness, and after a journey with many difficulties in a continuous run on a stadium, the battle time will end, the resistance is inevitable, but we cannot turn our backs when the gates are wide open.
For a more relaxed note, though, I thank Chris for "hosting" me, and I am addressing a happy song for him,
so... thank you Chris, and everyone else:flower::heart:

eek Liberation | Teachings in Sanskrit Philosophy | Sanskrit Song with English Meaning
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVLQIZQDwtM
The whole of our being is the harmony of a pair of flames in the journey of our one spirit.
The union with the presence of mind gives us the way to the superior light of the maxims and minimums of duality.
When we go through important stages of evolution in the divine plane, resonance becomes unity in the vibration of knowledge.
The encounter with the awakening can happen unexpectedly, often favored by bizarre synchronicities.
But when we have the strong feeling that we cannot express overwhelming energy in words, we are magnetically attracted to that energy.
It is as if you find a soul mate of your own soul, a soul in the soul and you recognize this intensely through a strong connection.
The manifestation of attraction and deep love transcends the ego in a completion that causes awakening, but we all already feel that :flower:
The dimension of unconditional love will always guide us in the universe in the unique and wonderful fusion with our own soul and in the explosion of a bright arc of light within us, in the long awaited meeting with the family of our souls.
Let's raise our energies to the magnitude of the widest and noisiest song in the universe with the well-known refrain of the most virtuous vibrations!

The Gate of Light by Lars Muhl
Lars Muhl visits "the holiest place on Earth" - Cave 4 at Qumran, in the Judaean Desert of the West Bank, where most of the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. But it was also the place where Yeshua (Jesus) and Yohannan (John) the Baptist and the Essenes put themselves in the so-called unprotected state, 40 days in the desert, to reach higher levels of consciousness.
In the film you can see Lars perform the B’SHM ADONAI ritual and what it entails.

This is quite an amazing film.
Even watching him accomplishing a very difficult climb is moving.
My heart in my mouth for him.
Then the prayer moved me greatly.
A truly enlightening experience.
I am indebted to him for sharing this.

This is a letter to President Trump from Bishop Vigano who fronts the Appeal I have posted several times on the thread.
The presenter takes some time getting to the letter to Trump, painting a background.
I am not a believer in Hell and damnation and a lot of other things that the dogma of Churches portray.
However I do support the intent of the Appeal and the letter to The President.

The appeal yet again
https://veritasliberabitvos.info/appeal/

The O Manuscript, a real-life Gnostic thriller, has sold over 60,000 copies in Denmark, the equivalent of 3 million in the United States, since it was first published in 2000. Lars Muhl was for many years a successful pop star who studied the world's religions and esoteric knowledge between gigs and recording sessions.
Lars Muhl was born in Aahus, Denmark. Like Paulo Coelho, Muhl was for many years a successful singer-songwriter who, concurrently with his work in the music business, studied the world's religions and esoteric knowledge. He taught himself Aramaic, the everyday language of Palestine during the time of Jesus.

To balance my last two posts:
Imagine pure existence. Imagine being, without limits. Imagine how a world could ever spring from such an exalted being.
Where is its anchor? What supports its manifestation? Why does it exist? Where did it come from?
Does a question even arise to such a being? Can a question even be formed by anything else to ask it? If it did, what would that being have to be like in order to ask it?
What is a question? Can it be other than an error of perception? Is the questioner whole? Does the questioner exist?
Does pure being perceive at all? Since it has no limits it must know truth - it must be truth personified, individualized.
If truth is known, is truth alive? Is it other than the knower? Or is truth and being one. If they are, is there a second - a something else? If they are not, do the two cancel each other, while simultaneously recreating each other?
Does totality equal zero?
Is nothing at the base of all things?
If being is totality, where did doing come from?
If to do is to become, then what are we now?
Is this truly life? Or are we dreaming a dream?
Who lives, a being or a becoming?
And who has never yet lived?

Martin Wells ‘Sitting In the Stillness’ Interview by Iain McNay.
Martin is author of the book ‘Sitting In the Stillness’ and works as a psychotherapist in the British NHS. In his late teens he started to be drawn to Eastern philosophy and meditation. He began reading Jung avidly and started on an unconscious search to change his core belief. After years of practising as a therapist and meditation teacher he was becoming increasingly jaded when he went to a lecture by Jean-Marc Mantel. Almost immediately he had the experience of everything falling away, of all his searching coming to an end, and a feeling of peace and fulfilment and stillness. This experience started a completely new way of relating to life, and his work.

I think that the western "new thought" tradition which some trivialize to "the Secret" is deep and broad. I think this is a gem which I would have missed except Brian Scott has been investigating many sources and shares them.

Someone wrote recently in the comment section on this blog that “the time for political solutions is over.” I vehemently disagree. Unless we have the courage to say no to the police state emerging all around us, to stand up to the intimidation and speak out valiantly against it, then any talk of spiritual solutions is nothing but cowardly escapism.
We do not have the impeccability required for accessing higher, more powerful states of consciousness – levels of consciousness that could magically “make bullets stop in their tracks,” as the commenter suggested – when we don’t have the guts to say no on the physical level to the forces that oppress us.
If we passively sit by and do nothing, if we fail to speak up – to our friends who are still asleep and to our oppressors – then we are personally responsible for the destruction of human freedom and the takeover by the tyrants that is occurring. Because who has the power to stop it, except those of us who have become aware of the agenda?
We deride our friends who are still asleep, we complain about what “sheep” they are, but we are the ones with the knowledge and the responsibility to do something. If a person who is asleep lets the house burn down, it’s a tragedy. If a person who is awake lets the house burn down, it’s a travesty.
I understand the feelings of cowardice masquerading as enlightenment, because sometimes I go there myself. I don’t want to risk my life, my home, my family, but if I don’t love freedom more than life in this material form, then freedom will never be a reality for me. I will always be the victim of the bullies.
We have been born into a society that was already halfway to becoming a police state. We were conditioned since childhood to accept the things that are starting to come down. But deeper than our conditioning is our thirst to be strong and free, self-reliant and powerful within our own lives. The only kind of spiritual mastery that can ever occur for us is rooted in that inner drive for personal freedom. We can no more have one without the other than we can have ice without water.
Our passion for freedom must burn within us so strongly that it consumes every excuse we manufacture for why we must sit and hide and hope it will all blow over. Tyranny does not just blow over. Bullies don’t just disappear. They continue taking over more and more of everything until the people they bully stand up and put a stop to it.
It can be discouraging speaking our mind on these things to our friends. It can lose us friends. It can cause us to be thought of as radical and “out there.” Now the tyrants are programming people to think that anyone who criticizes the government is a terrorist, so soon speaking out to our slumbering friends will cause us to be perceived as terrorists. It could get us on watch lists.
Our love for this planet, for creating freedom for ourselves and all mankind, must be greater than our fear and loathing of all those possible consequences. Our love for freedom must burn up our concern with what people think of us, our concern with our popularity, even our concern about winding up in a concentration camp one day.
We would be freer in a concentration camp, having stood up to the oppressors, than living quietly in our homes while the world goes to hell in a hand basket. If we do nothing, we are the enablers. If we do nothing, we are responsible for the success of the New World Order.
Freedom is an inner state of mind. You can be free in a jail cell. You cannot be free living quietly in your home bowing meekly under the velvet-gloved iron hand of the controllers.
Someday a blog entry like this could wind me up in a concentration camp. But you know what? All the good people will be there. And with our ‘tude, how long would that concentration camp last?
I recently lost two people very dear to me. There’s something about a loved one dying that presses up against the curtain that divides us from the other dimensions, the unseen worlds. I am always left with a sense of closeness to that which is on the other side, and less of a concern about the importance or power of death. I feel the ones I love still vibrant, still there and close to me, only no longer limited by the body they expressed through. I am reminded that even that thing we consider the ultimate tragedy – death – is not all that powerful. It cannot alter that which is essential, the infrastructure of our being where love and freedom reside.
And at such times, I feel greater courage to do what must be done to stop the bullies from destroying this beautiful world. I don’t think about the possible cost, because even death seems insignificant compared with the things that count, the things I care about.
The worst thing I can imagine is human freedom being completely destroyed, the machinery of the New World Order becoming completely installed, on my watch. How could I live with myself if that happened? I have to give it my all, do everything I can, unpopular though that may make me. If I don’t, I choose popularity over the freedom of the world.
I was deeply inspired tonight by a 19-minute video clip on the Alex Jones website. It rallied me around to remember these things, and I strongly recommend watching it. You can access it here.
I’m sure there are beings who want to help us make this world the paradise that surely God meant it to be. I think they help us from the unseen dimensions. But they can do nothing if we, the denizens of this world, don’t earn their assistance by doing everything we can on the physical level to speak out against tyranny and stand up to it.
Ron Paul recently said that if Americans stand by and let the TSA put their hands down our pants and irradiate us with scanners at airports, then we deserve the New World Order and all its consequences. Benjamin Franklin said that if we value security more than freedom, we deserve neither. We must dig down and find the passion to do what must be done and tell the bullies we will not be intimidated.
Alex Jones observed tonight that the recent shenanigans by Homeland Security are aimed not at keeping the majority asleep but at intimidating those of us who are awake from criticizing the government and speaking out about what’s really happening. I’ve felt that intimidation. But if I give in to it and let them stop me from exercising my God-given rights, then human freedom is lost, and I’m the one who kissed it goodbye.

I am currently exploring this blog/website and it looks like it would appeal to many Avalonians
https://brontebaxter.wordpress.com
Her is another of her jewels: Tracking the Crack in the Universe
Did you ever wonder why a good God would build a world where the only way to survive is by taking life? How long would you stay alive if you refused to eat? You may love animals and grow plants
inside your home and flowers in your garden, but every time you eat, you destroy the life of something. A something with a consciousness, that feels and desires to live, as we do.
The other day I grabbed an onion from a basket to chop up, and I
saw it had sprouted a beautiful, tender, light-green shoot. It had a
life inside it, a consciousness that wanted to take root, breathe air
and thrive. Any tears in chopping that onion did not come from the
fumes.
I’m not a sentimentalist. I’m a person questioning, increasingly
aware of an insidious thread woven through biological life. We are
born, we feed, and we die. Life is a process of consuming other
living things in order to stay alive as long as possible until death
in turn consumes us. We tell ourselves life is a whole lot more,
but it’s reduced to that as long as we must feed to survive. If we
can’t stay alive more than a few months without food, how can
eating not be fundamental to how we define our existence?
Eating is a requirement for biological life as we know it. It’s the
thread that holds together material existence. More than a thread,
it’s a chain, binding us to the law that we must consume each
other. Rebelling is punishable by death.
What kind of God or gods would create a world predicated on
killing? We don’t like to ask that, and we find every excuse to
avoid looking at this question. But every time a dear one dies, or
you find a nibbled bird in the yard destroyed by an idle cat, or you
read about an animal that has suffered mercilessly, or another
molested child, or a nation ravaged by a quake that’s buried
thousands of living people, your mind goes back to that nagging
question. Who would make a world like this? Was it truly a God of
love?
According to much evidence, it wasn’t. The world was created by
something else. Or if it was created by the loving God our hearts
insist exists, then creation has been tampered with by someone
else so merciless that it barely resembles the original divine
vision. The biological universe is controlled by the law that to live
we must take life or die. That is sinister. Something there is that
makes us have to eat, that makes us age and disintegrate. This is
the “something wrong with the world,” the crack in the universe.
Knowledge of it works “like a splinter in the mind, driving you
mad,” quoting “The Matrix.” Yet awakening to the truth of our
predicament is the first step toward radical change. Only radical
change can possibly right the fundamental flaw woven into
physical creation.
And how well-woven it is. Not only does violence wind through
the lives of all Earth life like the fibers of a time-bomb attached to
a victim. It reaches out into space, where supernovas implode,
collapsing millions of stars along with all living beings on all their
attendant planets. Death and devouring are so pervasive most
people can’t conceive of a world without them, or if they can
conceive it, they label the concept preposterous. Yet quantum
physics shows that matter is nothing but atoms: emptiness
vibrating. Emptiness does not die and neither does the energy it
oscillates. So why must bodies die that are made of up of these
things?
Robert Monroe, in his book “Far Journeys,” writes of contact he
had with a light being in an out-of-body experience. (Monroe is
arguably the world’s foremost researcher on OBEs; he started an
institute with trainee/researchers to scientifically investigate the
phenomenon.) Reportedly the light being told Monroe that when
humans die, their energy is released and harvested by transdimensional beings, who use it to extend their own life spans. The
claim is that the universe is a garden created by these beings as
their food source.
According to Monroe’s story, animals are intentionally positioned
on this planet to feed on plants and on each other, thereby
releasing the life force of their victims so it can be harvested. In a
predator-prey struggle, exceptional energy is produced in the
combatants. The spilling of blood in a fight-to-the-death conflict
releases this intense energy, which the light beings call “loosh.”
Loosh is also harvested from the loneliness of animals and
humans, as well as from the emotions engendered when a parent
is forced to defend the life of its young. Another source of loosh is
humans’ worship.
According to Monroe’s informant, our creators, the cosmic
“energy farmers,” intentionally equipped animals with devices like
fangs, claws and super-speed in order to prolong predator-prey
combat and thereby produce more loosh. In other words, the
greater the suffering, the more life force is spewed from our
bodies, and the tastier the energy meal for our creators.
This story told to Monroe (which threw him into a two-week
depression) corresponds to reports in some of the world’s oldest
scriptures, the Vedas, Upanishads, and Puranas of India. There
we read that “the universe is upheld by sacrifice” (Atharva Veda)
and that “all who are living (in this world) are the sacrificers.
There is none living who does not perform yagya (sacrifice). This
body is (created) for sacrifice, and arises out of sacrifice and
changes according to sacrifice.” (Garbha Upanishad)
Again:
“(Death as the Creator) resolved to devour all that he had
created; for he eats all. . . He is the eater of the whole universe;
this whole universe is his food.” (Mahabharata)
In the writings of Carlos Castaneda, who chronicles the life and
teachings of a Yaquii sorcerer called Don Juan, we find another
story of the Divine devouring humans, in this case human
consciousness. Reports Castaneda:
“The Eagle is devouring the awareness of all the creatures that,
alive on earth a moment before and now dead, have floated to
the Eagle’s beak, like a ceaseless swarm of fireflies, to meet their
owner, their reason for having had life. The Eagle disentangles
these tiny flames, lays them flat, as a tanner stretches out a hide,
and then consumes them; for awareness is the Eagle’s food. The
Eagle, that power that governs the destinies of all living things,
reflects equally and at once all those living things.” (“The Eagle’s
Gift,” by Carlos Castaneda)
The idea that man must sacrifice (must kill something or be killed
in order to appease the gods) is apparently intrinsic to all the
world’s root religions. We find blood ritual, including human
sacrifice, in the Druidic tradition, Tibetan Buddhism, among the
Indians of the Americas, in Greece and Rome, Africa, China,
Arabia, Germany, Phoenicia and Egypt. Even the Old Testament
(Judges 11:31-40) has a little-advertised story of human sacrifice,
with the Israelite judge Jephthah ritually slaughtering his own
daughter to fulfill a vow he made to Jehovah.
While we may not think of Judaism as typically promoting human
sacrifice, it more than promoted it if we count the genocide
Jehovah demanded of the Hebrews. In one day alone, they
murdered 12,000 Canaanites “and utterly destroyed everything in
the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox and sheep
and donkey with the edge of the sword.”(Joshua: 6:21)
In Islam, the situation is similar. Allah, while paying lip service to
the immorality of human sacrifice, orders his servants in the
Koran to practice jihad against all unbelievers. “When the
forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans
wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie
in wait for them in every stratagem of war.” (Koran: 9:5)
Peace-loving Moslems interpret such passages as “symbolic” in
their desire to justify their faith, much as Christians try to justify
Jehovah’s sociopathic behavior with excuses. In many ways, the
god of Islam reasons and rants like the god of the Israelites.
Could it be the same entity? It isn’t contradictory that he would
support two separate peoples, then lead them to fight each other.
Not if his agenda is to stimulate and harvest plenty of loosh.
Christianity, the religion of brotherly love, is implicated in blood
sacrifice by being rooted in the Jewish tradition. The Bible
declares Jesus is the son of God (Jehovah), and Jehovah
announces at Jesus’ baptism, “This is My beloved Son in whom I
am well-pleased.” (Matthew: 17:5) Where was Jesus when his
father was slaughtering the Canaanites? Jesus himself becomes
a blood sacrifice, a fact that Catholics reenact in the mass and
that Protestants bathe themselves in to be “saved.” Christians are
no strangers to sacrifice.
If suffering and death were part of creation that no one, including
the gods, could help, there’d be some reason to be more
forgiving. I might even buy the story that they need us to support
them with our homage and we need them to keep the universe
running. But when you add blood sacrifice into the equation, I
abandon ship. It’s one thing if the gods can’t prevent earthly
suffering and death – quite another if they seek it out and thrive
from it – or worse yet, created it. And that’s what blood sacrifice,
and the scriptures around it, indicate.
When the oldest scriptures of the world tell us we were created as
food for the gods, I have to ask myself if I want to live in a
universe where that might be true. The fact is, I don’t. I can no
longer give my approval to that kind of reality. So if I won’t live
with it, I have to come up with something better. I have to find
something more fundamental than the physical universe to locate
my identity in, and my power in. I sense, as many do these days,
that there’s something beyond the universe as it has been
presented to us, something outside this box, outside this system.
That’s what I seek to know, connect with, and draw from.
Robert Morning Sky, a truth seeker of the Hopi and Apache
traditions, tells a story he learned from his people about a race of
beings who knew no limitations, who existed far outside this
physical universe. One day one of them declared his intention to
visit Earth and take on a body just for the adventure of it, for the
experience. His friends cautioned him, as this universe had a
reputation as amnesia-producing, a place of no return. But the
entity laughed that off and promised to come back after one
lifetime.
Centuries passed, and the entity never came home. One of his
comrades decided to enter the physical world to go look for his
friend. He promised not to get lost in matter and to return with the
other individual. More centuries passed, and neither being
returned. So another immortal entered physical mass, and he
also never came back. In time many members of these unlimited
beings incarnated in human form, and the story goes, none of
them yet has gone home.
Maybe we are those people, starting to remember who we are.
Maybe it’s time to break out of the hypnosis we’ve lived under for
eons, the unquestioned assumptions that we must kill and eat,
suffer and die, live in lack and sadness, and undergo all the
human drama as it has been defined for us.
Is it insane to think that humans can beat the system? That we
could make a choice to stop the activities that supply our up-line
with fuel? That we could minimize – even stop – our own
refueling from the life force of creatures lower than us on the food
chain? Is it madness to think that our bodies, made of undying
energy, could themselves not have to die, that we might learn to
live on the power of infinite consciousness, which we can access
within ourselves, being part of it?
While some may call that madness, I prefer it to the world I see
around me. I certainly prefer it to death. I prefer it to loss of my
dear ones, and to sickness and poverty. The greatest experiment
mankind can engage in is mastery of the principles of freedom,
creation, abundance, and immortality. We’re wearing body suits
that in 70-some years of use are programmed to self-destruct.
What could be more important than changing that programming?
In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna warns: “He who does not
follow the wheel thus set revolving lives in vain.” The wheel is the
cycle of birth and death, karma and retribution, human sacrifice
and divine blessing. To rebel against this system is to fail in our
life purpose as defined by those who say they are our creators
and gods. But surely life was meant to be more than dinner for
the next rung up on the food chain. If “living in vain” means
breaking out of that, I’m all for that kind of failure.

Howdie Mickoski ‘Falling Into The Truth.’ Interview by Iain McNay.
Howdie is the author of ‘Falling For Truth’ and ‘the Power Of Then.’ His first job was working as a professional comedian. When he heard an ex-girlfriend had been murdered it left him shattered and a deep questioning started inside him. His journey led him to study the ancient Egyptians and to work with some very powerful teachers. He realised that he could never know what the ancients were building and doing because he was thinking like a modern human. To understand the ancient past he had to think like the ancients.
In 2005 he had an accident when he nearly drowned. As a result of this he saw reality completely differently.
Howdie talks us through his life, his accident, his realisations, and his process of integration.

Those who want to "cheat" life are sure to be wrong, those who bring suffering into the world are predestined not to be prepared for anything and prepared for nothing.
The future is not for sale, the present completes it right now, in a capable way and the destination in the inclination to "franchise" life itself, is just wrong.
Let us listen to the good voices of this world, so that they may speak righteously in a better future!

Kundalini Yoga: Awakening the Shakti Within
Sadhguru sheds light on the mystical Kundalini energy, which lies dormant in every human being. He looks at the ways in which Kundalini can be activated, and what that can lead to in a person’s life.

I am so happy that he mentions about the obsession with mysticism.
The Saad Guroo's, this Sadhguru, this disciplined guide's explanation of the reality of Koonduh-luh-nee Sooruh-jee, Kundalini Rising, is good. It is also accurate. I would have been more inclusive and honest in sharing my knowledge of the direct lies out there about kundalini.
I do appreciate that he did not mean to insult or disrespect any student of a kundalini yoga teacher. How nice of him! I do tell yoga students and teachers the whole truth, when their ears are open. He just didn't say that those who have become accredited teachers and have learned so many things that are not true, using the name kundalini yoga, have done so thru no fault of their own.
I still ask why anyone would say they teach kundalini yoga and be so clueless that they don't even know what it is. If they do know what it is and still use the name they are criminals for doing so.
There are only a few who teach real kundalini yoga from a class or a video series or a book. It's not a students fault that a teacher who manipulated others didn't tell them that his teaching 'job was to make sure that their (students) kundalini didn't rise', though he said just that in a 1975 Beads of Truth magazine article.
I use the analogy of teaching a class on orgasms.....
And nobody comes....or has an orgasm.
That's criminal, yet that's 100% all of the incomplete 'kundalini yoga' teaching methods taught in the west for decades by now.
As it is taught it is just good exercise and some that more and more westerners have done well, as any good exercise will have many benefits. I'd keep the useful, as I have, and toss out the rest. Those who have been so indoctrinated have earned that as well as the truth of it not being a gate to some lasting uprising of consciousness, it should just as well not be a reason to toss out all of the good that has been used by humans for thousands of years.
At the least he should have told them that. Then, the many series of exercises and prayers could have been taken for what they are. Useful, but only in the context of how each one person chooses to use them and not by any lie that they have been told will give them one result or the other. Caffeine Yoga. Certainly not kundalini yoga by any stretch of the truth. Warriors yoga? Not taught that way, but it has hints of those things many are capable of doing.
This thing about having a trustworthy guide should tell those so-called certified kundalini yoga teachers that their certificates are only good as kindling for starting a fire. I would posit that anyone who invents, allows and encourages thievery is not trustworthy when it comes to anyones dynamic, kundalini, energy. That yogi with a b never earned that trust, unless of course it had to do with making money by any means necessary.
The odd, the very odd and truly paradoxical thing about a thief teaching kundalini yoga is that in close proximity there lived, and now lives, a written guide that is trustworthy. So very close to some sikhs and anyone else, without reservation, but unbelievably distant to so many others dressed in white.
One day in El Ay...
After finding this deep spiritual connection with a written source of synchronicity, I lived in a thankful presence of finding a source without compromising ethics or having to dress some way or pay some church's unholy price of entry, though the thief who heavily influenced sikhs tried to impose that bastardized bounty.
One day, as a yogi walked by, surrounded by guards and ass kissers, and after a long search, I finally thought of the one redeeming thing I assumed the yogi had done for me. I mentally thanked him for bringing that written source to the area.
Being one who saw the thoughts of others he pushed his way thru those around him and confronted me (outside of a storefront on La Cienega). He said, with anger, "Don't praise the donkey who carried the Sacred Scriptures!". Good by me. In fact afterwards and every time I saw him until he passed away I always thought "Donkey you are." I hadn't thought anything more of him before that anyway. Dressing a yogi in sikh clothes does not make a yogi a sikh and certainly not a trustworthy kundalini yoga teacher.
I surely would have found that source in this lifetime without all of the b.s.. In fact I share this here for those who would do just that, whatever it is and wherever that source, the source that guides us to internal truths, is found.
That ending gave me the mental edge in dealing with his incessant b.s. if I ever had the misfortune or the challenge of being around him or those who served his darkness, which included a lot of those in the area. Asserting the right I assumed I had as a sikh to read and listen to the written guide, I visited the community until I could tolerate the hypocrisy and lies no more. I left them with however they had lost so much of their way in serving and had found themselves as criminal telemarketers or subservient security employees abusing those who served them in their northern haunts.
Another seer telling me that I had "no right getting involved in the emotions of humans" reverberates at times like this, even if I have protested, based on the need of being involved in those emotions in order to share another perspective as to why some emotions are rarely useful in advancing the growth of souls.
The very good thing about fake kundalini teaching is that they have never taught the methods of the many risings anyway. Those few that have come, the risen kundalinis, have been accidental and very few in number, while often being troubling to those who come in contact with them. I do find myself in contact and communication with them. There are many out here now who are grounded and have been of help to the risen when it occurs within them and they need an unbiased but deliberate and heart centered contact.
The closest any balanced approach to the gradual integration into the depths of awakening the life force is in the book Kundalini Tantra, written by a scientist who is a yogic teacher.
Noting that kundalini yoga has not been taught in any accredited class, it is also not the sexual methods of red tantra, nor the absurdity of someone taking away your karma thru White Tantric Yoga, which is something you do on your own anyway, when you spend more time doing any yog during a prolonged set of exercises and focused meditations, with or without the naad of a muntruh (mantra).

Thanks for that Hym
Which echoes my thoughts.
Over twenty years ago I had a spontaneous Kundalini awakening -- I did not know what was happening I had never heard the word Kundalini.
I got in touch with a spiritual friend who when I gave him a description said he suspected what it was but referred me to a Sai Baba Devotee who spent much time in India.
Basically I ended up going to a Kundalini Ashram in India

"Third Eye and Kundalini is one of the most sensational accounts of the transformation of Dr. B.S.Goel from dust to divinity from mortality to immortality and from nothingness to everything. It contains first hand experience of Third Eye which are perhaps not available in any modern writing presented in modern times on the subject"
Dr Goel is deceased quite a few years now.
The process is still going on within this form.
The energy travels up the spine through the energy centres into the head.
Some sidhis (cant spell) came with this awakening, I dont look to use them.
Its so easy to let ego get involved.

Preface
Salutations to the Mother Kundalini the Divine Cosmic Energy! You are present in every existing being. You are the supreme knowledge, maya, intellect, memory and delusion. O Devi! You are the mind, the sky, the air, the fire, the water and the earth. Nothing is outside You. You are the Shakti of Shiva. Your Own blissful conscious form gives the shape of the world.
Kundalini Yoga is the most archaic form of spiritual sadhana practiced by Indian sages and saints to achieve Oneness with the Supreme Reality. Kundalini, the serpent power or mystic fire, is the primordial energy that lies sleeping or in dormant state at the base of the spinal column in all human beings. It is also the cosmic power in individual bodies. It is the spiritual potential of cosmic power. It has no form. But the mind has to follow a particular form in its initial stage. From this grosss form, one can easily understand the subtle formless Kundalini. Prana, ahamkar, buddhi, indriya, mind, nerves and all the five gross elements are all products of Kundalini.
Kundalini becomes active, when it is awakened. There are many methods to awaken the sleeping Kundalini, like Pranayama, Asanas, Meditation, etc. all such methods may sometimes lead to complications. One may also become a psychic patient. It can also prove fatal as one feels the urge to attempt suicide without any reason.
To awaken Kundalini Shakti, the safest way is to receive the grace of a blessed Siddha-Guru, who have already merged his identity with the Supreme consciousness, the Shiva, and have become one. When Kundalini Shakti gets active by a Siddha-Guru it automatically starts functioning. Kundalini becomes the master of jiva, whose goal is Shiva, the source of existence.
In this world, despite all that we achieve, we never feel contented and never attain permanent peace, happiness or bliss. Complete fulfillment is only possible when we realize our own self, when the Kundalini Shakti gets aroused in our bodies and the backward journey towards Shiva gets initiated, till one day, with the mercy of Kundalini, the jiva gets liberated from all the attachments with the world.
As this Kundalini Shakti is very powerful, no one else other than Shiva can control this Kundalini Shakti, when it is awakened. Under the guidance of a Guru, the movement of the Kundalini is controlled, the six spiritual centres get slowly pierced, the nervous system gets cleansed and the individual becomes transformed completely. He realizes his own Self at the sahasrara, the seventh spiritual centre and becomes One with the Supreme Consciousness, the Shiva. The main principle is that when awakened, Kundalini Shakti ceases to be a static power, which sustains world consciousness. Once set in movement, she is drawn to its other static centre in the thousand petalled lotus (sahasrara), by merging Herself and the jiva with Shiva consciousness or the consciousness of eternal ecstasy beyond the world of form. When Kundalini sleeps a man is awake to the world, when she wakes up, he sleeps, that is, he loses his consciousness of the world and enters his causal body. In this Yoga he passes beyond to the formless consciousness.
This is the glory of Mother Kundalini who through Her infinite grace and power gently leads the sadhaka from charka to charka and illumines his intellect and makes him realize his identity with the supreme Brahman!
Sadgurunath Shri Siddeshwar Baba was a God-realised Siddha-Guru. Thousands of seekers got their Kundalini Shakti awakened by His Divine Grace. He used to awaken the Kundalini Shakti by the divine touch of His right thumb at the Trikuti of His devotee and sometimes by His gaze. He had even initiated some sadhakas in their dreams.
The book on Kundalini enables aspirants and spiritual seekers as well as those interested in the phenomenon of Kundalini to understand the deeper implications of Kundalini awakening.
The first part of this book contains discourses of Shri Guruji delivered between 14 October 1992 and 15 March 1997 during the Meditation Camps held at Siddheshwar Ashram.
The second part contains queries from devotees about Kundalini Shakti and the answers/clarifications given by Shri Gurudev.
The book ends with salutations offered to the Guru who is established in knowledge and power, who grants both worldly prosperity and liberation, who has made it possible to realize Him and by Whom all this world animate and inanimate, movable and immovable, is pervaded.
I pray to Shri Gurudev and Goddess Mother Kundalini to shower Their blessings on all their loving children, so that Their inner paths open and their search for the final goal, the Supreme Truth, comes to an end, and they achieve birthless and deathless eternity.
Back of the Book
Despite being successful in life and having all the material comforts, individuals constantly crave for the feeling of complete fulfillment. This is only possible when we realize our own self and merge with the source of our existence. This journey towards Shiva (the source) only gets initiated with the arousal of the Kundalini, the primordial energy that lies in a dormant state at the base of the spinal column.
This book is divided into three parts. The first part contains discourses on Kundalini by Shri Siddeshwar Baba delivered between 1992 and 1997 during the meditation camps held at Siddheshwar Ashram. The second part contains clarifications given by Gurudev to the queries raised by his devotees and the third part offers salutations to the 'Guru' who makes the awakening of the Kundalini and the attainment of liberation possible.
This book will be of immense help to spiritual seekers and psychic sufferers. It will interest the lay readers who will gain solace and peace of mind with the knowledge of Kundalini, the liberating force.
Born on 25 March 1935, a post-graduate in political science and history and a doctorate in education, Dr B.S. Goel (Siddheshwar Baba) was chosen by destiny to be a yogi with the mission of unraveling to the people the deepest secrets of the Mind, individual consciousness and Cosmic Consciousness. At the age of 28 his Kundalini got awakened on its own. His uniqueness lies in his experience of classical psychoanalysis along with meditation, which he advocated and applied in the quest of the final goal: transcendence of the Mind and union with the Lord. On 3 October 1998 Siddheshwar Baba took Samadhi leaving behind his dedicated devotees to work for the Society of 'Third Eye Foundation of India' founded by him in 1982 to preach and propagate Indian culture, Yoga and spiritualism.

Thank you Chris - very interesting post. I had a "formal" activation of my kundalini by Anandi Ma in 2016 but feel that I had already activated this long before that. I am interested in reading about Dr. Goel's process and his personal "symptoms". Its too bad that the publisher didn't reprint more copies. I did read Gopi Krishna's account of his journey and it was certainly a rough one, although, as many experiencers have attested, the result was well worth the "discomfort". I'll check into your links.

I think many people are having this experience of being realized as Shakti. It has to be translated because it is the Divine Goddess. It is an affinity for me to want to BE Shakti incarnate. I am a woman. I polarize to the Feminine. I in my core long to be in union with what "Shiva" means. The Divine feminine I am being longs for Shiva.
But I am also longing to incorporate polarity. To ME this is what "all this Maya is about". It is so we feel realized as a union within and celebrated by a new paradigm where we luxuriate in the participation of god/dess in the Paradise of Erath.
We are responsible. Our choices have always mattered. I feel we are all lighting up. We are able to understand who we choose to be. It is knowing we have a choice that matters. This is illusion and we must declare what IS. We will shine our light on what we love and it is real.
IMO this turns on ones bioluminescence where one shines out one's divine light. It touches our world with such brilliance.
I think we are walking now through the Borderland and must switch on our inner light for guidance in this shadow of death. I deeply expect every human is searching for Mom and Dad to touch us. However in some strange circuity in the Borderland, we do NOT KNOW what we desire. We choose "presentations" and mimic. It is of no consequences EXCEPT to us.
We seek "reality" and knowing our connection to what matters IS what we choose. That is responsibility bestowed. This is a new world.
I love Shakti and Siva and have a celebration with passion and life fulfilling prophecy. I choose to turn TO their qualities and meaning and consequences of being related to LOVE. LOVE is passionate embrace of life and giving from so much plenty that we never feel fear. LOVE is a sense of all is well as Thy rod and thy staff comfort me. In the Borderland I need fear no Evil as THOU ar't with ME.
I feel adored by Shiva and His touch turned "me" on. I imagined being in union and made it so. It changed me in "time" but now I see my world is opening in an amazing experience. I am enveloped by a new world which I imagine very clearly. It only has "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" as it law. I feel practicing this law is a communication with the Divine. I feel more and more LOVE from the illusory "all exists". YES, one can spend every moment conencted in Shiva and Shakti. It crafts a new person in me who feels love and sees a new reality.
This is not a remote control operation and I know we all have empowerment when we forgive (let it all be lifted), honor (may we stand our ground) and rejoice (in wonderment) because we know in our inner beingness we are beloved. Choose love and live.
Everyone going on refusing the flow will through entropy wind down and die.
My world is refreshing and will blossom because I create Maya lawfully in a realm of reunion with ALL FORCE. WHAT I create is only the result of what is REALLY important in the heart of heart at my core.
We are searching for the meaning of our own beingness and inclinations as art-is-it in maya. I feel i am becoming whole-ly in love with all my opposites and my disharmonies and my contradictions. Be like the clay and soften. Every part is malleable and shapes when I know what I want. Everything works for the good of I am. All of me is valuable and can be given as presents.
I am FREE and I may change as much as I choose and experience all choices. This is such a awesome love that we live within.I know that Intelligent Infinity knows me. S/He has my back. The song that is to Praise my feeling of being with Divinity in real time is my will to express me and this is an amazing realm of self realization. I am me..and all that means. Who is able to be Happy then make it true in make believe? I am.

One of the most important things about Kundalini awakening is that it renews/upgrades the wiring off the nervous system etc in order to hold the higher energy of enlightenment.
The late Dr David R Hawkins wrote several really interesting books on spiritual levels starting with Power vs Force.
The early part of this thread was greatly influenced by him.
Adyashanti also talks about Kundalini prior to and post enlightenment.
Hawkins was clear that enlightenment can mature and that there are several levels of this -- each seems complete -- however "Only God walks through the final door"
He describes the fear -terror that accompanied that, only to be met by the beauty, overwhelming love, of the final transcending of ego.
My feeling is leave it to Divine providence -- dont try to force Kundalini awakening or rate of progress.
Its rewarding but not easy -- even now I can get suicidal thoughts -- not depression -- I get tired of living in the illusion.
Thankfully such thoughts are as passing clouds.
Music and meditation lift these dark moods, but it is part of awakening --ie Dark Night of the Soul.
Meditation is essential, you cant make enlightenment happen but you can prepare the ground and make Gods Grace more likely to fall on fertile soil.
With Love c
ps Dr Hawkins maintained (using muscle testing) that Christ and The Buddha were at the highest level possible on this heavy density planet a higher energy would fry the body.
Christ was known to have gone through great pain probably as the body accepted the highest level of energy.
There is a difference between the enlightened experience and the permanent.
Eckhart Tolle speaks of this -- its valid and encouraging but it does not last -- many are having this experience just now but if you feel you need a teacher I suggest going to the ones long established --mature.

He was one of the last if not the last avatar who performed his initiation in the sarcophagus of the great pyramid of Giza. Buddha was enlightened under the bodhi tree.
I do wonder if it is really safe to have a kundalini awakening through a guru? If the soul is not ready and the chakras aren't in proper alignment then it could be a disaster. Also the ego is afraid of it's own death and the human psyche can't always handle that which in turn can result as a fragmented personality or insanity. However, it's said that when the student is ready then the teacher will appear although the guru won't always be a physical, living being necessarily.

In surfing with wind I posted about Swedenborg's meditations.
Here I'd like to expand on a particular aspect of that post that was hinted at by the highlighted portions.
First those highlights:
#1 the Lord withdraws the understanding from the world when He enlightens it
#2 the idea of God as Man is a just idea, for God is Divine wisdom, with every quality belonging thereto, and the subject of these is man
#3 it is communicated continually, that is, adjoined continually
To put it together, then:
The Lord withdraws the understanding from the world when He enlightens it but the idea of God as Man is a just idea, for God is Divine wisdom, with every quality belonging thereto, and the subject of these is man and it is communicated continually, that is, adjoined continually.
In other words: Man is the penultimate creation of God worthy of every quality attributable to the Lord, and this truth forms an unbreakable connection continually updated and available to any member of the human race.
To tune into this frequency and maintain the connection is enlightenment. Forget the understanding because that is the first to go when enlightenment arrives.

The Guru is that being who is removing darkness,
ignorance. He or she is not a giver of light or truth.
The light is already there as the core of our being.
The master is simply dispelling the darkness,
and revealing the Self that is timelessly present
and yet overlooked for so long.
And he has the power, grace
and compassion to make this happen.
The term Guru also means the real Self
or one who is awake to his true nature
as the Supreme Being.
The Guru is one with reality.
The Guru is identical with your own real nature.
Therefore, your true Self and Guru are one.

I don't post videos, and I hope that's okay.
But I'd like to quote Swedenborg again. This time about 'enchantments' - the purposeful use of black arts to confuse and reverse belief. It is part of Swedenborg's contention that there is an arcanum in the great works (in this case the bible), a secret underlying message that cannot be deciphered without Divine Influx (spiritual insight or revelation):
Since at this day it is not known what is meant by 'enchantments', it shall briefly be explained. 'Enchantments' are mentioned in the above passage, in place of the eight precept of the Decalogue, 'Thou shall not bear false witness', for the three other 'evils', which are 'murder', 'whoredom', and 'thefts', are named. 'To bear false witness' signifies, in the natural sense, to act the part of a false witness, to lie and defame; and in the spiritual sense, to confirm and pusuade that falsity is truth, and that evil is good; from which it is evident, that by 'to enchant' is signified to pursuade to what is false, and thus to destroy truth.
Enchantments were in use among the ancients, and were performed in three ways:
First, they kept the hearing and thus the mind of another continually intent upon his words and sayings, without relaxing anything from them; and, at the same time, aspiring and inspiring thought conjoined with affection, by means of the breath, into the sound of speech, whereby the hearer could not think anything from himself; thus the falsifiers poured in their falsities with violence.
Secondly, they infused a persuasion, which was done by detaining the mind from everything contrary, and keeping the attention exclusively to the idea of that which was said by them, hence the spiritual sphere of his mind dispelled the spiritual fascination which the magi of old used, and which was called the binding and tying of the understanding. This kind of enchantment pertained only to the spirit or thought, but the former to the lips or speech also.
Thirdly, the hearer kept his mind so fixed in his own opinion, that he almost shut his ears against hearing anything from the speaker, which was done by holding the breath, and sometimes by tacit muttering, and thus by a continual denial of his adversary's sentiment. This kind of enchantment was practiced by those who heard others, but the two former by those who spake to others.
These three kinds of enchantment prevailed among the ancients, and prevail still among infernal spirits; but with men in this world there only the third, and this with those who, from the pride of their own intelligence, have confirmed in themselves the falsities of religion; for these, when they hear things contrary, admit them no further into their thought than to mere contact, and then from the interior recess of their mind they emit as it were a fire which consumes them, about which the other knows nothing except by indications from the countenance and the sound of the voice in the reply; provided the enchanter does not, by dissimulation, restrain that fire, or what is the same, the anger of his pride.
This kind of enchantment operates at the present day to prevent truths from being accepted, and, with many, to their not being understood.
I thought it relevant on so many levels and to different topics - like the holding of the breath in terms of mask wearing, for instance.
finally, paraphrased to facilitate continuity...:
...in ancient times magical arts prevailed (for) the persuasion of falsity and thus, destruction of truth.

An interesting fact about meditation.
Iam colour blind so only receive limited colour information to the brain to be interpreted. The best example I can give of what it's like is this.
Imagine there are a hundred shades of red, well I see just five all the other ninety five shades are just red.
When you meditate give about ten minutes for the normal light to go and the third eye kicks in.
It's then full colour all the other beautifully glorious ninety five missing shades kick in,mostly purples gold reds green, and that's how you know when your colour blind your not seeing with your eyes anymore

Gratitude is an experience we gain when we are reoriented to what we already have, and this simply makes us see positive aspects, not just focus on shortcomings.
Being a moral emotion, it brings us the feeling of fulfillment and the right thing to do. The way we explain what is happening in our lives contributes to mental and physical health, and gratitude is a way in which our vision becomes broader, including the aspects we deserve to be satisfied with.
In addition, due to the cultural-spiritual context, we are more likely to have patterns of gratitude in our lives (symbolic reward, charitable gestures, prayers for thanksgiving) and thus become easier to learn to benefit from the reward of gratitude.:flower:
Practicing gratitude is a personal choice. Its beauty is that you do good to yourself with positive consequences for others. It is your responsibility to help yourself just because gratitude, first and foremost, is a duty to you.

Beloved Lord of my heart.
May love, peace, and harmony be the normal for all in this world, Amen
That is my daily prayer and I hope The Divine intercedes on our behalf in this world, to bring this about.

I'm not sure if this post is in the right place. But thank you Chris for extending the thread in many diverse ways.
Human Potential:
I found and created the body that I needed to drop into my true potential a long time back, in the form of a daily structured spiritual discipline which gave me the freedom to advance spiritually, through giving my small mind directions and sequences to repeatedly guide my physical body to follow, thus offering me the spaciousness to discover the multifaceted, multilayered & multi dimensional aspects of myself and my environment and their relationships with one another.
Forget about what "THEY" say. What makes "YOU" the best version of yourself and how can you best contribute to humanity and your greater environment?
Remember, manifestation is not about using it for oneself, it is the pure JOY of sharing it, this is a state of being of service, a refined vibrational state of alertness, awareness, altruism & inclusivity.
I invite you to relinquish the status quo, your existing condition,
"to do the impossible everyday",
as this is the true potential of the earthling, beyond what has been done before & more.
Have the most marvellous, nurturing & explosively extraordinary day
(tip: extraordinary is to be found in the most ordinary)
One must become a new earth human to live a new earth, and yes, this may frighten you, yet also exhilarate you, proceed with both as your guides.

Thanks for your post aoibhghaire.
Yes its in the right place and appreciated.
Im not in a fixed place but quite "fluid" in my approach.
Non duality incorporates everything.
All ways something to learn about in "Gods" kingdom .
The wonders and diversity beyond me.

Enter to win, it's not about a business, a habit or a choice, it's about the deep essence of "What is", something that must come naturally.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see Freedom. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of Universe.
"Everybody wants to be someone else. We just need a taste of who we are."

The Highest Nondual Truth - Ashtavakra Samhita by Swami Sarvapriyananda
Ashtavakra Samhita is the Highest Non-dual text available to us, says Swami Sarvapriyananda. Sri Ramakrishna taught this book only to Swami Vivekananda. This teaching talks directly to the God within us. It goes straight to the point and, tells you the central Truth that you are none other than God, Tat Twam Asi, that thou art.

This video is a compilation of two talks in which Mooji addresses the topics of ‘mind attacks’ and ‘cling-on thoughts.’
With humour and simplicity, Mooji walks us through the immediacy and power of self-inquiry as a tool to bring us to clear seeing. As we follow this guidance, we discover that delusions cannot survive and we come to verify our true position as the unchanging essence.
“You are unrelenting in your looking, don’t give up! That is how you are going to face these mind attacks. When you identify as the ‘what is,’ as the witness of them, they can’t sustain their power in the light of such looking.
Just your in-turned attention is already burning this delusion out of your system. That is the power of the inquiry, functioning on your behalf.”
