I saw that others have posted songs and poetry on here. This first one, True Light, is recorded, but not yet edited - should be getting that done next week. The rest are unrecorded. And I'll also post some poetry. Hopefully, some of you will find these inspiring. <3

True Light
(Love is the True Light)

Nothing is as it seems
Don't let your eyes deceive you
Darkness sometimes hides
Behind a cloak of light
But words are not the same
As True Light from within
So use your heart to feel
And you will know what's real
Yes, you will know what’s real

Those who formed their plan
Set forth to deceive
Didn't count on me
And others who believe
In Real Truth and Light
And not their fallacy
And the One True Light
Their shadows will reveal
Yes, their shadows will reveal

Some say fate is set
But I must disagree
The future's not written yet
And we each hold the key
Inside each of our hearts
True Light does reside
And when we let it shine
Darkness cannot hide
No, darkness cannot hide

We're so productive
When we get up
And go to work each day

We're so productive
When we make the grade
And we make our hay

We're so productive
When we let our thoughts
Get in our way

We're so productive
When we choose not to fly
And we choose to stay

In our small little world
that we have created
In our small little world
over-officiated
In our small little world
misappropriated
In our small little world
much too insulated

From the expanding universe you see
when you...

Turn off your TV
Reclaim your brain
Trust your heart
and you won't go insane
It's gotten real crazy
So please don't be lazy
Or you'll be standing
Alone in the rain

Times are a changing
We're all rearranging
Let the Light Shine Through Your Eyes

And don't trust what you think you see
Trust only what you feel
Your mind might be deceived
But your heart will know what's real

You can fly high
You can fly free
If you let yourself be healed
Be as strong as you can be
And let Light Be Your Shield

They are the puppet masters
They run the spin machine
They put buzz
On top of buzz
On top of buzz
Until it screams

We see you puppet masters
We see your spin machine
Together the people
Will create more buzz
Than you
Could ever dream

friendly frogs
in a pot
start off cold
make it hot
just a bit
at a time
ignorance
so sublime

take a peek
outside the pot
see the stove
see how we're caught
swim like mad
we've got a shot

humanity is
waking up
to who
we really are

we are not
powerless cattle
as we've
been led
to believe

we are
strong
beautiful
beings

we are
conscious
co-creators

we are
suns
reflecting
source

we can
connect
with
galactic
center

we can
connect
with
the heart
of Gaia

we can
transmit
a new
frequency
on this
plane
now

light
without love
is sterile
cold
unforgiving
uncaring
unyielding

only
when carried
on the
wavelength
of love
does
light
shine
truth

truth
slays
distortion

truth
frees
our minds

it is
the carrier
signal
beamed
from
galactic center

to
receive it
we only need
to connect
with
our hearts

our mind
is the receiver
for programming,
for distortion signals

true discernment
happens
when the
awakened heart
enables the mind
to see
the matrix

balance occurs
between
hearts
beating
in time
with
the pulse
of galactic center
and
awakened
minds
discerning truth

it is time
for humanity
to see
there are no leaders
there are no followers
there is only
you and me
and most importantly
we

it is time
for us
to set
our differences aside
create a new path
one that works
for all of us

it is time
for us
to see
ourselves
in each others eyes
to see others
inside
ourselves

it is time
for us
to realize
that there IS
enough
for everyone
that we are ALL
here for a reason
that we are ALL
special
that we ALL
have gifts
to share
with each other

it is time
for us
to lift
each other up
to help
each other shine
to empower
each others
dreams
to fuel
each others
passions

it is time

Thank you very much for sharing your lyrics and poetry with us, Juliet, you are quite good at making the Truth About Who & What We Are as your subject matter sound pretty cool, actually :highfive: (considering how many super-flaky ones I'd given the time of day over the years..aye aye aye )

I REALLY liked the first song (True Light) and I have no doubt as to why you chose to record that song first (you know, every time I read True Light, the melody and rhythm of the lyrics just bust out of the words as I read them) Being a writer myself, I really resonate with how you wrote it...Bravo!!

To Run as a Deer

Anyone can fly,
float around with their head
in the clouds,
reach Samadhi

Anyone can dance,
feel the earth 'tween their toes,
walk their walk,
the daily grind

But to run
through the woods,
through the fields,
as a deer...

Ah, to run as a deer
with feet that barely
touch the ground,
wide-eyed,
tasting the wind.

ingenue
untrained
music flows through her
without a framework
to restrict it's flow

her hand reaches
for the palette
as a virgin
reaches for her lover
her brush caresses the canvas
as if for the first time
savoring every stroke
deeply filled
with gratitude

as she dances
her limbs, trunk, neck and head move
without forethought
as to where they will go

if music is audible
it pulls them
like taffy

devoid of music
they flow in time
with the heartbeat of Gaia
pulled by the whisper of the wind
and the symphony of crickets
tree frogs, and cicadas

she has not been taught
to be separate
she is one
with it all
