View Full Version : Thousands See Phantom City in the Sky in China

Hello all, I did not see this posted anywhere and I find it very fascinating.

CHINESE TV news reports have told how thousands of residents in TWO areas reported separately seeing a huge city form in the skies.

Onlookers, some who are said to have videoed the bizarre event, were said to be mesmerised as a towering city of sky scrapers appeared from the clouds.

First thousands reportedly saw a ghostly alien city floating over Foshan in the Guangdong province of China.

A few days later people in the province of Jiangxi, China, also reported seeing a similar cloud city.

Weather experts have explained the phenomena as natural mirage, an optical illusion called Fata Morgana.

Fata Morgana can be seen on land or sea and involves the optical distortion and inversion of distant objects such as boats, which can appears as skyscrapers because the images become stacked, when rays of light bend as they pass through air of different temperatures such as in a heat haze.

But the mystery has sent conspiracy theorists into over drive.

There were previous reports of a similar sighting in China in 2011.

YouTube channel Paranormal Crucible said in a video report: "The footage captured by a local resident appears to show a huge city floating in the clouds.

"The apparition, which was witnessed by hundreds of shocked residents, only lasted a few minutes before completely disappearing."

The channel speculated it could be "the result of a project blue beam test." Project Blue Beam is a prolific conspiracy theory which believes NASA will one day simulate an alien invasion of Earth or second coming of Christ through holograms.

Serge Monast, a conspiracist from Quebecois, first predicted in the 1980s it would happen by 1983, 1996 and then 2000.

One online poster noted: "Notice the group of buildings is repeated three times? If it isn’t someone making it on their computer, it seriously could be project blue beam."

The Paranormal Crucible video added: "But added: "Or a temporal vortex, a possible parallel universe material briefly into our own reality."

"It is also possible, considering China's technological achievements that a top secret holographic technology was tested over a heavily populated area in an effort to gauge the public reaction."

What do you all think? Simple mirage or something more elaborate?

I am suspicious of the fact that there is only one video of it though thousands seem to have seen it. I was leaning toward the explanation of it bing a hologram, but why not more video evidence?

Why does the youtube video use a computer generated voice? That in itself is enough to make me go "Hmmmmmmmmmm".

Maybe it was one of these...

Project Blue Beam? ‘Floating City’ Appears in the Sky over China

Mel here. I've been sick, so you'll have to excuse me, but this weekend's
spotting of a mysterious floating city, explained away by scientists as a
mirage, gives me a perfect excuse to talk about this article I came across
in the Washington Post from the 90s where our military psyops officers
were trying to figure out how to create a convincing hologram of Allah
over Iraq to make Iraqis rise up against Saddam Hussein...

Project Blue Beam, anyone?

Maybe the Project Blue Beam (http://www.thewatcherfiles.com/bluebeam.html) technicians were sitting around, bored to death, and decided to have some fun with the holographic projectors.

I think that a Fata Morgana would not appear 'between' clouds and to project a hologram 'between' clouds seems difficult as well.
Unless of course the clouds are projected too to lead people to the wrong conclusions.

But it indeed looks like the same imagery is repeated over and over again ... suspicious :suspicious:

i wonder why they insist is a city, it doesn't look at all like one
it looks like a bad 3d, or cupboard city model made by amateurs
if this is indeed dimensional, must be very low astral.

You are right. That is one of the most fascinating things about it to me... The obvious use of repetitive "graphics" or "design". But that is why I was leaning toward it being some kind of test that was whipped together. I do not think personally that it is dimensional. I think it is most likely some kind of test for tech that is being developed right here in the 3D world. My question is for what.

I am still quite curious to see more first hand accounts of it, but it seems that they are few and far between.

However, here is another speculative article.

http://qz.com/528450/chinas-floating-city-in-the-sky-was-obviously-an-illusion-but-what-the-heck-was-it/

From the article:

Many theories center around “Project Blue Beam,” a suspected plot by the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to establish a new world order by either simulating an alien invasion of Earth or a projecting second coming of Christ. Others believe that China was trying to gauge the public’s reaction to its own “top secret holographic technology.”

That sort of plays into my thoughts about testing technology, but it begs the question why would it be tested in such an anticlimactic way? And why did it look so cheap?

I have recently been on the cruise ship going back and forth from China to Japan for 2 weeks and whenever the ship enters Shanghai it's always so smoggy that you can't even see the buildings. I have some awesome binoculars and have seen some weird stuff in the skies around China but nothing that resembles cities and anything flying about. Just weird shapes from thick fog and dense air.

When China gets visitors or important people come over or they are presenting a sporting event they blast the sky with nukes or something to clear the smog. Everyone has to stay indoors whilst they do this. It really is filthy. But I love Chinese people, they annoy the hell out of me and amaze me and are awesome as an audience and are just fun to have around. I'm in awe at how they simply don't give a ****. It's an amazing feature to have.

Sorry I'm drifting way out of topic here.

Apparently, people who have looked into this are saying it's a hoax....... There's no buzz on Chinese social-media regarding this event.

It's no Fata Morgana, I think that much is obvious, so it's either computer generated video, or project Blue Beam technology.

Either way, there is some skullduggery going on here. All these games......... why?

Apologies if this was discussed already (I imagine it has)....but I only stumbled upon it recently in the last few days. I can't imagine this would be faked having been filed by many different people in Foshan. Reminds me of the ending of a very good movie I watched recently called Midnight Special where a father tries to shelter his son from the gov't (and a religious sect) because the boy has certain powers....where at the very end the boy sets up a floating city in the sky that takes him away.

Could this be a parallel universe ripple that opens up for a short moment (as it shows that meaning in the movie)??

Another question on this would be why is this only or at least predominately happening in China? Why not India or South America? Do you think the age of China is older than a lot of civilizations? It appears that this illusion in the sky does not bring anything of value either, except something for people to look at and wonder with no explanations.
