Yes I'm preaching to the choir. So enjoy the choir practice video here my peeps. You are an infinite being, and so, let me be the first one to say, I Love You, if you haven't heard it yet today.

Alan is simply reminding us to step outside of ourselves to look at ourselves as we really are. When we see ourselves from an unfettered sight, so often cluttered and misinformed by social conditioning, we are much more loving and non-critical. Remove the guilt and breathe deep in the obvious reality that we are amazing.
For now, as it has always been, sharing the techniques for stepping outside of such controlled, shut down avenues of perception, is a must when we offer such advice. These down to earth dialogues, like this one from Alan, do make a difference when they are remembered regularly, but the real acts of gaining true perspective on our individual conditions are often shadowed in the ego and desire of the presenter. The good thing is now that forums like this, and there must be a few others out there, will provide the techniques that help us gain these experiences, without the b.s. of some gain by the presenter. Some have been shared here, altho sparingly, and we should see more as time passes.........
As Omnisense accurately describes in great detail, there are many obstructions to gaining control of our awareness and enjoying the living as we move deeper into these cleansings, the severity, magnitude and frequencies of such totally depending on our threat to those unnatural systems, but we all have some depth of imprinted memories that contain the warmth of those times we know as real living.
It has been my memories, my imprint, my instant access to the natural state of things, since I was young and spent so much time in nature, that inform me of the unnatural state of subtle, common and overt manipulation that has been forced upon humans for all of these decades. I ask how can you evaluate anything from a state of truth when that is not based on the energetic of this vibrance we call the earth and all it gives to sustain the essential life in each body? It still remains a truth to me that any disconnect from all things natural on this planet and the planet itself, with all of it's frequencies, energies and exchanges is the cause of suffering.
Listening to Alan on the radio while at UCLA in the early 70's was one of the few breaks I had from the insanity of humanity, as his talks were a good connection to the simple truths I have experienced as real. His approach to meditation was akin to mine, not so much sitting is needed when we realize that the entirety of life is a meditation. Quiet listening should dominate, even when we have learned to communicate well and with heart amongst each other. Isn't it notable that when we talk of our sharing with nature that we don't have to or need to say we did it with heart.......simply because it is the nourishment we describe as the heart itself.

Go with the flow of you and not be dictated to by the 'Time-tyrant-Clock'
When you follow others you condone others, if you force things (Time) you corrupt your natural flow and that of others!
Enjoy the sun and life and see what is really worthwhile!
See the you.

Oh but it does if one spends 'time' both in the video and Alan's words.
It's one of my favorite of Alan Watt's lectures with a video attached..

Ah but, playfully, no such thing as 'Time' exists eh ? We made it up to explain changing appearances (relativity) and in so doing seemingly trapped ourselves in a self-created illusion !

The only thing trapped is what thinks is trapped but this too shall pass.

Jaag Ray Mun Jaagunuh-Haaray.....Wake up My Awakening Soul.....
I was listening to some of my son's music last night and I thought of how some of his instrumentals connected to these thoughts of awakening. Will have to ask his permission to share it.

If it wasn't for time we would not wake up, but, of course, we would not FALL asleep either.
Rise and fall,
Rise and fall,
This is water (as David Foster Wallace would say)
....that is all.
