The ‘driest place on Earth’ is covered in pink flowers after a crazy year of rain. The Atacama Desert in Chile, known as the driest place on Earth, is awash with color after a year’s worth of extreme rainfall.

All we need is an elephant walking through there and we'll have the makings of Horton Hears A Who.

I don't think it is a coincidence that (for me) your post was posted at 11:11. I see a lot of posts with that timestamp, but this one made me peer inside the thread. :)

The story, besides having awesome photos, is a wonderful metaphor; and I believe perhaps, well timed :)

I'm in Québec Eastern times  The Atacama desert is currently a carpet of flowers big thanks to mother nature! Climate change turned one of the World's driest places into a pink wonderland. The Atacama desert has recorded a 40 per cent rise in the tourist stream since the flowers have bloomed, because everybody wants to see this miracle of nature. It just goes to show that every cloud has a silver lining or that even the most furious ones have a softer side.
