A Russian passenger plane carrying 224 people crashed on Saturday in Egypt's restive Sinai Peninsula, Egyptian officials said.
A "Russian civilian plane... crashed in the central Sinai," the office of Prime Minister Sharif Ismail said in a statement.
A cabinet statement said Egyptian military planes have spotted wreckage of the plane.
"Military planes have discovered the wreckage of the plane... in a mountainous area, and 45 ambulances have been directed to the site to evacuate dead and wounded," the statement said.
A senior aviation official said the plane was a charter flight operated by a Russian company carrying 217 passengers and seven crew members. Communication with the aircraft was lost, he added.
Sergei Lzvolsky, an official with the Russian aviation agency Rosaviatsia told Interfax news agency that the plane had departed Egypt's Red Sea resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh at 5:51 am local time (03:51 GMT).
He said the aircraft did not make contact as expected with air traffic controllers in Cyprus, and "since then the plane has not made contact and has not appeared on radars".
"Prime Minister (Ismail) is expected to meet the concerned ministries and competent authorities to follow up on the accident of the Russian civilian plane that fell in central Sinai," Egyptian premier's office said.

Egypt Crash: Bodies Found 'Strapped To Seats'
No Survivors
: What Caused KGL-9268 To Plunge From The Sky?
According to Egyptian media, the pilot reported a technical failure shortly after take off and requested to land at a nearby airport, Sky's Middle East correspondent Sherine Tadros reported.
However, Mike Vivian, the former head of flight operations at the Civil Aviation Authority, told Sky News "hostile action" should not be ruled out.
"Although hostile action has been dismissed I am absolutely certain that will be one of the focuses of investigators on the ground," he said.
Egypt's North Sinai is home to a two-year-old Islamist insurgency. Militants linked to Islamic State have killed hundreds of soldiers and have also attacked Western targets in recent months.
The plane, with registration number KGL-9268, had been flying at an altitude of 31,000ft when contact was lost, according to Egypt's civil aviation ministry.
According to Russian aviation sources, the plane was carrying 200 adult passengers, 17 children and seven crew members.
Of the passengers, 214 were Russian and three were Ukrainian, Egypt's cabinet said in a statement.
The bodies, many of them burnt, were found in a 3.1 mile radius from the wreckage.
Several hundred relatives of those on board the flight gathered at Pulkovo airport near St Petersburg, where the plane was due to land, as reports of the crashed began to emerge. Many have now been taken to a nearby hotel to await further information.
Sky's Moscow correspondent John Sparks says Russian authorities have so far conveyed very little information to those gathered, although President Vladimir Putin has expressed his condolences to the families of the victims.
He has declared Sunday a national day of mourning.
Russia's Investigative Committee, the country's top investigative body, has also opened an investigation into possible violations of flight safety procedures.
Several world leaders, including Prime Minister David Cameron, have expressed their condolences to the families involved.
He tweeted: "My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the victims of the Russian plane crash in Egypt..."
In a statement Airbus said: "The concerns and sympathy of the Airbus employees go to all those affected by this tragic accident of Flight 7K-9268."
It said the aircraft was produced in 1997 and had been operated by Metrojet since 2012. It had accumulated some 56,000 flight hours in nearly 21,000 flights.
Initially there were several conflicting reports about the fate of the plane. An Egyptian official told local media the plane was safely in Turkish airspace after briefly losing contact with air traffic controllers.
There were also reports that the plane went missing in Cypriot airspace.
More follows...

People waiting for their loved ones at Pulkovo airport were told the news of the crash
A Russian airliner has crashed in central Sinai killing all 224 people on board, Egyptian officials have said.
The Airbus A-321 had just left the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, bound for the Russian city of St Petersburg.
Wreckage was found in the Hasana area and bodies removed, along with the plane's "black box". An official
described a "tragic scene" with bodies of victims still strapped to seats.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared Sunday a day of mourning.
He has ordered an official investigation into the crash, and for rescue teams to be sent to the crash site.
Egyptian officials said 214 of the passengers were Russian and three Ukrainian.

A commission headed by Russian Transport Minister Maksim Sokolov is to leave for Egypt on Saturday afternoon.
A criminal case has also been opened against the airline, Kogalymavia, for "violation of rules of flight and preparation
for them", Russia's Ria news agency reported.
Oksana Golovin, a spokeswoman for the airline, said the company did not see any grounds to blame human error.
She told a press conference that the pilot had 12,000 hours of flying experience. Kogalymavia did not yet know what
caused the crash, she said, but the plane was fully serviced.

Police are reported to be searching the company's offices.
Russian authorities say the plane was carrying 217 passengers, 138 of them women and 17 children aged between
2 and 17. Most were tourists. There were seven crew on board.
Egyptian officials investigating the scene said there were no survivors.
A centre to help relatives of the passengers has been set up at Pulkovo airport, Tass news agency quoted St Petersburg city officials as saying.
Sudden altitude loss
Initially there were conflicting reports about the fate of the plane, some suggesting it had disappeared over Cyprus.
But the office of Egyptian Prime Minister Sharif Ismail confirmed in a statement that a "Russian civilian plane... crashed in the central Sinai".

Officials say up to 50 ambulances have been sent to the scene.
Access to the area is strictly controlled by the military and the terrain is difficult, correspondents say.
One official told Reuters news agency that at least 100 bodies had been found.
"I now see a tragic scene," the official said. "A lot of dead on the ground and many died whilst strapped to their seats."
The plane split in two, with one part burning up and the other crashing into a rock, he added.
The Egyptian cabinet said in a statement that flight KGL9268 left Sharm el-Sheikh at 05:58 local time (03:58 GMT)
It added that the aircraft went off the radar 22 minutes after take-off.
The flight had been due into St Petersburg's Pulkovo airport at 09:10 GMT.

Egypt's civilian aviation ministry said the plane had been at an altitude of 9,450m (31,000ft) when it disappeared.
Live flight tracking service Flight Radar 24's Mikail Robertson confirmed the altitude.
He told the BBC that the plane started to drop very fast, losing 1,500 metres in one minute before coverage was lost.
Aviation official Ayman al-Mukadem said the pilot had reported technical difficulties before
the plane went missing, the Associated Press reported. The BBC's Orla Guerin in Cairo says
it is likely there will be speculation about militant involvement in the incident - Sinai has an
active militant network, with local Jihadis who have allied themselves to so-called Islamic State.
But the aircraft's altitude suggests that it could not have been struck from the ground, she adds.
Local weather observations in the vicinity of the rescue scene suggest relatively benign conditions.

ISLAMIC STATE CLAIMS RESPONSIBILITY FOR RUSSIAN PLANE CRASH IN EGYPT
In other words, a proxy organization of US "shadow government destabilizing operations", trained in U.S. ally Turkey, and openly funded by both U.S. allies Saudi Arabia and Qatar, just took down a Russian plane.
The question now is did ISIS use a US-made surface-to-air missile to start what may be a very unpleasant war.
To corroborate their claim, ISIS has allegedly released this shocking video showing what appears to be a mid-air bomb explosion.
This video is no longer available because the YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated.

Russia Plays Down IS Group's Jet Attack Claim
Moscow has played down an Islamic State-linked group's reported claim that it downed a Russian passenger jet in Egypt's Sinai peninsula.
The Airbus A321 crashed into a mountainous area shortly after losing radar contact near cruising altitude, with all 224 passengers and crew thought to have been killed.
A statement attributed to the Wilayat Sinai (Sinai Province) group said: "The fighters of the Islamic State were able to down a Russian plane over Sinai province that was carrying over 220 Russian crusaders. They were all killed, thanks be to God."
The statement was circulated on Twitter and also posted on the Aamaq website, which acts as a semi-official news agency for IS.
However, security sources in Egypt said an initial examination suggests the plane suffered a technical fault.
Russia's transport minister also urged caution, telling the Interfax news agency the claims "can't be considered accurate".
It is unclear whether militants in the region would have the capability to attack the plane, which was flying at around 31,000ft.

All of this, the entire lot of it is about protecting the breakaway civilization from been found and seen by the public.
The whole process (Russia USA posturing, etc) is a giant TV show to entrain the public into a blind trap.
A form of blow-up doll based fakery, a masturbation, if you will.
We may have Russia getting closer to disclosure, or trying prevent the US based breakaway system from establishing totalitarian dominance over the globe, but neither of them disclosing the technology or the fact of existence of the breakaway system/civilization.
We appear to have 3 main contenders for the control of the breakaway aspects.
We have the destruction of records, destruction of ancient ruins and such, in order to remove the evidence of ET, ancient technology, and to double as a cover for entraining the people into a war response type state.
I could go on for hours here, the evidence is plentiful.
So, to recap, be careful at what way one looks at this game piece of a plane being downed.
Disclosure is close. Not an open disclosure but forced disclosure as too may technologies are hitting the glass ceiling and too many physicists, research departments, individuals, corporations, companies, technology experts, and so on.... are figuring it out.
One faction fighting for disclosure and one faction fighting to the death to enact totalitarian control.
Both driving in the same direction in the same bus, but serious fights of an extreme nature are erupting on the bus.

In any consideration of foul play, the possibility of a small bomb with pressure activated detonation switch might be investigated, because:
1) the plane's plunge began during ascent, i.e. before it reached a stable altitude (based on link below)
2) there was no distress call from the pilots (unconfirmed)
3) the altitude (33k ft) was too high for man-pad or small arms fire to have brought it down.
Of course, it may not have been foul play at all, this is just speculation about one possibility.

A Russian aircraft did not lodge an SOS call before crashing in Sinai,
killing all 224 people on board, Egypt's civil aviation minister says.
Initial reports from Egypt said the pilot of the Kogalymavia airline
had asked to make an emergency landing.
But minister Hossam Kamal said there had been no sign of any
problems on board the flight.Lufthansa and Air France-KLM said they
would avoid the route while the cause of the crash was investigated.
A claim by a group allied to the so-called Islamic State (IS) in Sinai
that it brought down the plane has been dismissed by Russia and Egypt.
The Airbus A-321 came down early on Saturday, shortly after leaving

putin is well aware of the history of the khazarians ( Zionist mafia sect within the larger cabal network) and their traditional methods of hiding behind another group ( masons, Hebrews, even neo con Christians) while they orchestrate evil doin's and let the group they hide behind suffer the onus.
putin is one of if not the wisest, smartest, savviest, competent world leaders in the history of man.

putin hopefully is achieved enough to go beyond political/regional thinking.

putin realizes that the big book wid the big pictures is titled: ALL LIVES MATTER, INCLUDING ALL SENTIENT ENTITIES.
putin imo sees the big picture in the big book.
the eastern block is building a trade based silk road centered around fair trade, fair money. this is why the entire world ( germany appears to be the next major power being pummeled by the khazarians into the eastern led global alliance) is moving away from divisional hegemony into global harmony based on trade.
I look to putin to end the global heroin aka opium wars.
I look to putin to end the Zionist domination of global affairs.
I look to putin to lead humanity into "the event" to the best of his considerable ability.

that there were no such preliminary indications of trouble, before the plane
rapidly dropped altitude before disappearing from radar.
Based on all available evidence this far, all indications point to the plane
breaking-up in the air – which points to a few remaining possible conclusions
which are:
1. The plane was shot down.
2. There was a bomb on board.
Joining in the speculation scrum now is a new online claim originating on an ISIS
Twitter account – which shows a video which terrorists say depicts the Russian
flight being shot down early this morning.’

Teams investigating the fate of a Russian airliner which crashed in Egypt's Sinai peninsula
on Saturday killing all 224 on board have widened their search for bodies and debris.
So far 163 bodies have been found but the search area was extended to 15km (9 miles)
after some were located away from the main wreck of the Airbus 321.
Russia is observing a day of mourning after its worst air disaster.
Egypt and Russia dismissed IS claims that its militants were responsible.

the "putin as benevolent new world leader" meme is pretty interesting. I understand ppl programmed by msm knee jerking a priori the very concept. :)
one interesting angle is putin being chosen and helped by friendly extradimensionals ( ed's) to help usher in the new NWO.
Has a secret alliance provided Putin and the Russian Federation the best Secret Space War defensive weaponry?
Unsubstantiated rumors have been seeping out of deep contacts inside Russian Space Command the last few weeks that, not only does the new Putin’s Russia have a well developed Secret Space war Program, but that this Program provides substantial ultra-high-tech back-engineered offensive and defensive weaponry
Do Russians now have access to Space War Weapons based on back-engineered Alien ET technology gained through a new treaty negotiated between Putin and a certain group of Alien ETs who are enemies of the group controlling the World Zionists (WZs) and the International Zionist Crime Syndicate (IZCS)?
And even stranger, has this same Alien ET group who claim to be the avowed enemies of another Alien ET group which is directing the WZs and the IZCS the “Dracos”, also contacted a certain newly-emerging and powerful secret group inside the Secret Shadow Government (SSG) and American Intel?
And with these reputed contacts, has this group of American Defense and Intel up-and-comers started to exert dominance over the US War Machine? Have they become convinced that the WZs and the IZCS must be stopped because their intent is to deploy DHS to tyrannize, enslave and serially mass-murder about 80% of all Americans?
And have they become aware that the 9/11 attacks were False-Flag, Gladio-style, inside-job attacks run by Israel, Israeli-American dual citizens, NeoCons, and PNAC individuals and had nothing to do with Arabs, but were merely False-Flag terror to justify more illegal, unprovoked, unconstitutional, undeclared wars of aggression in the Middle East as a proxy Wars for Israel?
A powerful new treaty has apparently been established between one group of Alien ETs (the Tall White Nordics) and Putin’s New Russia.

From Jim Stone:
UPDATE: Unconfirmed: There are rumors that Russia is going to go nuclear in Syria over the plane shoot down, however, I sort of doubt this rumor because it would cause too much of a damage to benefit ratio.
UPDATE: CONFIRMED: Russia announced (after this plane shoot down) that absolutely no foreign troops would be allowed in Syria without Assad's consent. This announcement means that Russia will now take direct action against American troops. THAT CINCHES IT, RUSSIA KNOWS * WELL WHO SHOT THAT PLANE DOWN and even if the political whitewash machine won't hang that fact out on the clothesline, Russia's subsequent action says it all. MAIN REPORT FOLLOWS, THIS ONE IS A DOOZIE:

Certainly seems to match with what is happening on the ground. I think this situation has the possibility of escalating in to a full-blown, hot war.

Certainly there is a lot going on just now that could start a major war
However
I doubt very much that would happen as there would not be a single person left standing to claim victory.
Conventional war could not be limited to that--eventually some one would say F### this and press the nuclear button.
As far as the plane disaster goes.
First and foremost, I have a lot of compassion for the relatives and friends of the deceased.
Easy to talk about who caused this when its not a personal event--my children were not on the plane.
Yes it has to be reported and investigated here, there and every where with some sensitivity

British Prime Minister David Cameron has told Russian President Vladimir Putin that Britain shares the "pain and grief" of the Russian people after the crash of a Russian passenger jet in Egypt.
Cameron's office said he spoke with Putin on Sunday morning and offered to aid the investigation into the cause of the crash Saturday that killed all 224 people on the Metrojet charter flight from Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg. He told Putin that Britain stands ready to help if needed.
Cameron's office said Putin thanked him for the offer but said Russian investigators were already at the crash site in Sinai. They are working with Egyptian, French, German and Airbus investigators.

Halloween Fail: Israeli Air Force Pumpkin Features Image of Russian Jet

Note the distinctive ‘tunnel’ wing between the two engines on the rear end of the Sukhoi. This design element has a double role, acting as an additional lifting surface, and to hide the plane’s armaments from radar detection.
The only American aircraft with this design feature is the F-14 Tomcat, which has a much shorter ‘wing’ of its own between its twin engines, and, moreover, this is not an aircraft used by the Israeli Air Force. None of the fighter planes operated by the IAF (the F-15 Eagle, the F-15E Strike Eagle or the F-16 Fighting Falcon) have anything close to the Su-27’s ‘tunnel’ wing design.

A former safety engineer with Boeing says that when planes break up in mid-air it's usually due to one of three factors: a catastrophic weather event, a mid-air collision or an external threat, such as a bomb or a missile.
Todd Curtis says that if there are no indication that such events played a role in the crash, investigators will be looking at more unusual events, such as an on-board fire or corrosion that caused a structural failure.
Russia's top aviation official earlier Sunday said the Russian passenger plane that crashed in Egypt on Saturday had broken up at a high altitude.
Alexander Neradko, head of the federal aviation agency, said the large area over which fragments of the plane were scattered indicated that it disintegrated while flying high.

It seems like the plane broke up in mid air and crashed due to some catastrophic
mechanical fault . Terrorist attack is not thought to have caused it as the plane was
to high for weapons available to them according to news sources ? In the first
reports it was mentioned the pilots had been concerned with the engines during the
previous flights. Though no official announcements have been made yet as the
investigation has obviously just begun.
The tragic pictures of victims belongings and grieving relatives are becoming all to
common , for whatever reason these planes are coming down. Though the whole
region has been a tragedy for centuries one way or another , mainly warfare and
the gulf between rich ,poor and disputes over ancient state boundries and ethnic
and cultural differences, not forgetting religious clashes and hatreds. Which are
still raging in Syria , Egypt ,Israel , Iraq , Saudi , Yemen and other flash points
all over the continent.

I'm gonna say the Saudi's were also in on this one "murder on the Orient Express"...
"Islamic State Shootdown Of Russian Plane “Will Be Avenged” Vows Russia" Sorcha Report
The Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) is reporting today that the catastrophic destruction of Kolavia Flight 9268 that had departed from Egypt’s Sharm El-Sheikh in route to Saint Petersburg yesterday was due to its being struck by a portable surface-to-air missile device fired by Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) terrorists, and which these “barbarians” posted video of and took responsibility for in their social media postings.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMwxlS6MIBM
http://www.whatdoesitmean.com/rjd1.jpg
According to this report, Flight 9268, an Airbus A321, vanished from radars at 4:14am GMT yesterday while overflying the northeastern region of Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula and had not issued any emergency transmissions (SOS) prior to it catastrophic destruction that caused the deaths of 244 passengers and crew and resulted in a massive debris field of 16 square kilometers (6 square miles).
At the exact same time Flight 9268 was destroyed, this report continues, Aerospace Forces high command issued an “urgent/immediate” report that the highly secretive Olymp (Olympus) satellite operating over this region had detected the launching of a “range-enhanced” British man-portable surface-to-air missile designated as a Starburst.
Important to note, this report explains, are that all known missiles, such as the Starburst, have a unique “signature” upon their firing that is programmed into the Olymp satellite so that the detection of these weapons can be instantly made and defended against.
However, this report further says, the detection “devices” providing protection against the launching of these types of missiles is only present in Federation warplanes, and not civilian aircraft like Flight 9286, thus it had no ability to either evade or defend itself against this type of attack.
As to how Islamic State terrorists obtained such a lethal weapon of war such as this Starburst, this report continues, is due to British company Thales Air Defence providing these missiles to Saudi Arabia under a contract signed in 2007, and who openly operates in this kingdom too, and their shipment of them to Kuwait military forces.
With wealthy donors in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia supporting the Islamic State, this report continues, Federation military forces have long prepared for both British and American weapons, such as the Starburst missile, given to these nations to find their way into these terrorists possession, but did not envision their use against civilian aircraft as the retaliation against them for doing so would be “staggering”.
But with Aerospace Forces now obliterating these Islamic State terrorists in Syria, this report notes, their US-Saudi-Kuwait “founders and sponsors” have begun to panic to such as a degree that the Obama regime has now ordered US military forces into this war zone as “human shields” to protect ISIS, and the deliberate targeting of innocent civilian aircraft has become acceptable to them too.
To the measure of retaliation the Federation will use for this deliberate war crime, this report concludes, has yet to be decided—but with Prime Minister Medvedev stating earlier today that this attack “will be avenged” after his appointment by President Putin to head the commission examining this crisis, it remains a known fact that Russia has never taken lightly the killing of innocent children, mothers, daughters and grandmothers, and which the Chechens can well attest to. link (http://www.whatdoesitmean.com/index1935.htm)

Egypt Jet Crash Caused By 'Some Kind Of Impact'
A Russian airline says it is "impossible" that a technical fault or pilot error caused its jet to break up, killing 224 people.
Managers from Kogalymavia, which operated the Metrojet flight, said only "some kind of impact" could have caused the plane to start falling apart in mid-air as it flew over Egypt.
Metrojet's Deputy Director General Alexander Smirnov said: "There are no circumstances where a plane can just fall apart in mid-air. There is no technical fault or stopping of internal systems that could lead to the aircraft's dismembering.
"If we don't take in fantastical versions that the plane can be destroyed by a change in pressure, the only plausible reason is mechanical action aimed at the plane."
The aircraft's crew did not make any contact about problems with the plane during the 23 minutes before it disappeared off flight radar, the airline said.
Speaking in Moscow, bosses dismissed claims that financial problems could have compromised safety and said both the Airbus A321's engines had been inspected on October 26, with no problems found.
The airline said flight crew had not recorded any technical concerns in their log book during the jet's last five flights - though the wife of co-pilot Sergei Truckahev reportedly claimed at the weekend that he had complained "the technical condition of the aircraft left much to be desired".
The Kremlin, which previously played down a claim of responsibility from Islamic State-linked terrorists , said on Monday that "nothing can be ruled out" as investigators work with debris spread over some eight square miles (20km) on the Sinai Peninsula.
A source in the committee analysing the plane's two black box flight recorders in Egypt told Reuters preliminary analysis showed the aircraft was not struck from outside and that the pilot did not make a distress call.
More than 170 bodies have been recovered from the crash site, with the remains of more than 140 victims flown to St Petersburg and transported in two lorries from Pulkovo Airport on Monday morning.
Authorities say all those on board were Russian nationals - most of them holidaying in Sharm el Sheikh - except for three Ukrainians and one Belarusian. Twenty-five were children.
The aircraft vanished from radar shortly after taking off from the Red Sea resort and was flying at around 31,000ft when it lost contact.
Emirates, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways and Air France said they have stopped flying over the Sinai Peninsula until they find out more about what caused the crash.
EasyJet said it would continue to fly tourists to Sharm el Sheikh "as planned", while British Airways said it could not comment on "exact flight routes".
Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al Sisi has warned the investigation could take months.

ISIS footage 'showing crashed Russian plane downed by jihadis' is FAKE says RAF Top Gun
A former RAF pilot said there is no way that the video released by the boastful jihadis shows a commercial airliner, adding that it is probably stolen archive footage of an engine fire which could even date back to the 1960s.
The comments from retired wing commander Steve Chadwick OBE will add to a growing consensus that ISIS is trying to overstate its capabilities by claiming responsibility for the tragedy, in which 224 people died.

Egypt air crash: Accident or attack?
Aviation experts point to a range of scenarios to explain the crash Saturday of a Russian jetliner in Egypt's Sinai peninsula, killing all 224 people on board.
International investigators have begun sifting through the wreckage and the Egyptian government says the plane's two "black box" flight recorders have been recovered.
A senior Russian official, Viktor Sorochenko, says the plane disintegrated "in the air".
The Egyptian branch of the Islamic State group says it downed the plane, but the Egyptian and Russian governments cast doubt on the claim.
Following is a question-and-answer examination of the main issues after interviews with aviation experts.
What can we learn from the pictures of the crash site?
Jean-Paul Troadec, former director of France's civil aviation accident investigation office (BEA): "Having seen these photos, the hypothesis of an attack and that of an accident both remain open.
"The examination of the debris and the analysis of the flight recorders will allow us to quickly establish which of those hypotheses is the most plausible."
What could the debris show?
"If there was an attack, it could be shown by the way the wreckage is dispersed, but above all it's the debris -- if there are traces of explosives, and if the body of the plane has been (blown) open, it could show the possible presence of a bomb," Troadec said. "That is one hypothesis, but a technical problem cannot be ruled out either."
Troadec also noted, "There are no small pieces of wreckage, suggesting it did not nosedive."
If the plane did break up in mid-air, what could have been the cause?
It could have been caused by a catastrophic technical failure, according to aviation expert Robert Galan.
"There are several things that can cause a major problem mid-flight and cause the plane to disintegrate before reaching the ground, without it being caused by an attack," he said. "These include engine that exploded or shifting cargo." But internal faults in aircraft very rarely lead to explosions, he said.
If it was an attack, what device was used?
In the event of a blast, "the plane might have exploded in mid-air either due to a suicide bomber or a bomb on board, or even after a missile was fired at it," Galan said.
"If the plane was cruising at an altitude of 9,000 metres (29,500 feet), it is highly unlikely that the Islamic State group has the means to shoot it down because you would need advanced radar."
However, he added, "it is possible that, if the plane had had technical problems and descended, then IS could have shot it down, as they have medium-range weapons. But that's a bit contrived as a theory."
How much credit should be given to Islamic State claim?
The Egyptian and Russian governments have challenged the claim from the Egyptian branch of IS, which says it attacked the plane in revenge for Russian bombing in Syria. The group is waging a deadly insurgency in its bastion in the northern Sinai, where they commit near-daily attacks on the army and the police.
Mathieu Guidere, a terrorism expert at the University of Toulouse in France, said the claim "is credible."
"The Twitter account and the other sites that have published the claim have never published anything false. The statement also carries the same style as other statements from the group," he said.

"I have the expert knowledge that taking down a plane flying so high requires the kind of capacities only a state can have."
^ state ie nation. a nation did this if it was indeed a missile attack.
Egypt’s former minister of civil aviation, [I]Wail al-Madawi
Wail al-Madawi: No, it is out of the question. I am a former air force officer, and I have the expert knowledge that taking down a plane flying so high requires the kind of capacities only a state can have.
It requires some very significant resources: One would need search radars, radars to locate the plane, radars to control the fire. Only a state can have such resources, no militant group like that can.
RT:So you’re saying that the militant groups operating on the Sinai Peninsula do not have the military capacities required to take down aircraft at such an altitude – is that correct?
WM: Yes. They certainly don’t.
https://jhaines6a.wordpress.com/2015/11/01/rt-terrorists-non-state-actors-had-no-capacity-to-down-russian-plane-security-aviation-experts-say/
if it was a missile then they will find out based on "signature" which missile model did it. also, with today's high end military surveillance they probably already know when and where from the missile was fired.
if it was a missile it looks like it was "state sponsored terrorism". that means a nation was involved.

The head of Russian aviation agency Rosaviatsia, Aleksandr Neradko, has said that“all signs testify to the fact that the destruction of the structure of the airplane took place in the air and at a great altitude.” The principal evidence is that the remains of the plane and the bodies have been scattered over an area measuring about 8 km by 4 km. An Egyptian military source told the media that the plane cracked open into two main segments, one of which collided with a rock on impact.
“Early reports said that the aircraft split into two and that suggests a catastrophic failure, not a mechanical failure, but that suggests perhaps an explosion on board,” posited Michael Clarke, Director General of the Royal United Services Institute, an aviation think tank.“It’s much more likely to have been a bomb on board rather than a missile fired from the ground.”

Obviously the timing is linked to the bigger regional and geo political picture.
If it was a terrorist attack ? A lot of agencies would have to keep quite
from Eygpt , Israel, Russia/Syria and the US who are monitoring the
region and would know if the plane was shot down.
If it is a warning to Russia and all sides are keeping it quite is
also a stretch for me , but anything is possible ?
With the info and reactions from all major players involved,
( except the ISIL PR dept ) so far , it looks like a genuine fault.
Although sabotage is another question to ask ?

The only reasonable explanation for the crash of a Russian passenger jet in Egypt
is "an external influence," an executive from the airline that operated the flight said
Monday, stressing that planes don't just break apart in midair.
Kogalymavia Flight 9268 broke into pieces before it hit the ground in a remote area
of Egypt's restive Sinai Peninsula on Saturday, killing all 224 people on board.

Since the beginning of its operation in Syria on September 30, Russian Air Force has carried
out 1,391 sorties in Syria, destroying a total of 1,623 terrorist targets. In particular, Russian
warplanes destroyed 249 ISIS command posts, 51 training camps, and 131 depots, Andrey
Kartapolov, head of the Russian General Staff Main Operations Directorate said on Friday.
According to him, militants in Syria are trying to redeploy forces from Iraq and other
neighboring states, but their morale and training levels are very low.
For the last six days, ISIS has blockaded the Syrian Government’s only supply route to the
provincial capital of the Aleppo Governorate. However, for the last 48 hours, the Syrian Arab
Army (SAA) and Hezbollah have worked to restore the security of this vital highway that
stretches across the Khanasser Plains of east Hama. The SAA and Hezbollah are currently
less than 1km away from liberating the Khanasser-Ithriya highway.
Meanwhile, southwest of Ithriyah, ISIS launched another assault on the imperative hilltop
of Tal Khayber, targeting the NDF positions at the southeastern perimeter of the hill. The
assault was beaten back.
ISIS has recently shifted its focus from Khanasser-Ithriya Highway to the Salamiyah-Ithriya
Road, where the SAA reinforces their soldiers at the crucial city of Ithriya. If it falls, the SAA
at the latter city will be cutoff from their main supply line.
According to reports the leaders of the al-Nusra terrorist group operating in the Syrian province
of Hama have decided to join forces with ISIS as the Syrian army continues its offensive.
Separately, the SAA and the NDF continued their advance to the Kuweires Military Airport,
capturing several building blocks from ISIS inside the town of Sheikh Ahmad in the Deir Hafer
Plains. Then they captured the Railroad barrier inside the eastern district of the town. This
allowed for the Syrian Armed Forces to cross the Aleppo-Baghdad railroad that passes
through the east Aleppo.

The rogue state of Israel has been put under an “electromagnetic cordon sanitaire,” meaning that its military airplanes are grounded and its warships are unable to leave their ports, according to Pentagon officials. The blockade has now been intensified because US military and Russian government sources agree an Israeli F16 jet fighter flying out of Ramon Airforce base shot down a Russian airliner in the Sinai desert on Halloween, killing 224 people. “Israel is now stuck in its sandbox and can only bomb Gaza or shoot down airliners,” a Pentagon official added. The downing of the airliner has also now opened the way legally for Russian attacks on Israel proper, the officials said.

Sinai plane crash: Four theories
http://ichef-1.bbci.co.uk/news/660/cpsprodpb/0337/production/_86432800_b313db41-8a1e-4bc4-b5bc-345f236d5de2.jpg
Egyptian and international experts have begun their investigation into why a
Russian airliner carrying 224 people crashed in the north of Egypt's Sinai Peninsula,
killing all on board.
What will be their main lines of inquiry?
Technical fault?
Egypt's prime minister has said a technical fault was the most likely cause of the
disaster, but that it would be up to the air accident investigators "to prove or deny this".
Egypt's civil aviation minister Hossam Kamal said there had been no sign of any
problems on board the flight, contradicting earlier reports that the pilot had asked
to make an emergency landing after experiencing technical problems.
In Russia, the widow of the plane's co-pilot, Sergei Trukhachev, told NTV her
husband had complained the plane's condition "left much to be desired" during a
telephone call before the flight left Sharm el-Sheikh.
But the Kogalymavia airline has insisted the 18-year-old plane was fully airworthy,
and Mr Kamal said that "there were no reports that the airplane had faults, the
checks done before take-off did not reveal anything".
Kogalymavia has said "external factors" were behind the crash - meaning the
airline believes it was not a technical fault.
According to the Aviation Safety Network, the plane sustained a tail strike - when a
plane's tail hits the runway - while landing in Cairo in 2001. That took three months
to repair.
The botched repair of a tail strike caused Japan Airlines Flight 123 to crash in 1985,
the worst single-aircraft accident in history, in which 520 of 524 on board were killed.
But Kogalymavia officials said that the plane was repaired completely after the
2001 incident, and this could not have had an effect on its safety.

Human error?
http://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/624/cpsprodpb/15DE7/production/_86457598_flight_data_voice_recorder_624in.png
The airline has said that the pilot - who reports identified as Valery Nemov - had
more than 12,000 hours of flying experience, including 3,860 hours in A321s.
Kogalymavia says it has ruled out "any mistake by the crew."
But the aircraft's "black boxes" - the cockpit voice recorder (CVR) and the flight
data recorder (FDR), both of which have been found - will provide investigators
with detail on the last minutes of the flight and tell them whether any actions taken
by the flight crew caused or contributed to the crash - which happened during fine
weather.
Officials have reportedly said that the "black boxes" are in good condition.
Black box flight recorders graphic
The CVR records the voices of the pilots and other sounds from the cockpit. It
retains two hours of recording - on longer flights, the latest data is recorded over
the oldest.
The FDR records technical flight data, including at least five basic sets of
information: pressure altitude, air speed, heading, acceleration and microphone
keying (the time radio transmissions were made by the crew).
Both recorders are designed to withstand a massive impact and a fire reaching
temperatures of up to 1,100C for 60 minutes.
Shot down by missile?
http://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/624/cpsprodpb/6455/production/_86458652_091ba215-c22e-41c5-a58a-9267b429bd2d.png

Security experts have poured scorn on claims from jihadis allied to the Islamic
State (IS) group, who are active in the Sinai area, that they downed Flight
KGL9268, but examinations of the aircraft wreckage and debris field will enable
investigators to definitively pronounce on this theory.
A senior Russian aviation official has confirmed that the plane broke up in mid-air.
But Viktor Sorochenko said it was too early to draw conclusions about the causes of
the disaster from that fact.
The jet was cruising well above the maximum range of any surface-to-air missile
that the jihadists are thought to possess. These are far less powerful than the
vehicle-borne Buk system that shot down Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 over
Ukraine last year.
Experts have also questioned the logic of why Islamic State's Sinai affiliate would
risk inviting a massive international retaliation by such an action when its battle is
primarily with the Egyptian state.
BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner says that with Russia fighting a war
against IS in Syria, and Egypt's fragile economy in desperate need of tourists, both
countries will be hoping this has nothing to do with terrorism.
Bomb on board?
http://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/624/cpsprodpb/197B/production/_86432560_3df5d43e-71a0-4793-ba49-a6b42d867b27.jpg
Egyptian PM Sherif Ismail (r) has dismissed claims from Islamic State that it was responsible
Analysing the aircraft's black boxes will help investigators determine what caused it
to suddenly plummet from the sky.
No hard evidence has emerged to suggest that a bomb on board the plane caused
the crash - and there are questions about how a would-be bomber would evade
heightened security measures around Sharm el-Sheikh airport - but one expert told
the BBC that descriptions of the wreckage indicate that such an event remains a
possibility.
Professor Michael Clarke, director general of the Royal United Services Institute
think-tank, said: "Early reports said that [the aircraft] split into two and that
suggests a catastrophic failure, not a mechanical failure, but that suggests perhaps
an explosion on board.
"So I'd be much more inclined to think if we have to guess at this stage, it's much
more likely to have been a bomb on board rather than a missile fired from the ground."
Again, analysis of the main wreckage site and the debris field will enable
investigators to evaluate this theory.

Just before a Russian passenger airliner crashed in Egypt’s Sinai on Saturday,
a US infrared satellite reportedly detected a heat flash in the same vicinity,

The US intelligence community believes that a fuel tank or bomb may have
been the source of the heat signature, NBC News reported. The same satellite

would have produced, the channel’s source said.
The heat flash may not be related to the crash since the Sinai Peninsula is a

The nature of passengers’ injuries from the Russian jet that crashed in Egypt’s Sinai on Saturday may indicate that an explosion took place aboard before the plane hit the ground, an Egyptian doctor who examined the bodies said, Sputnik news agency reported.
"A large number of body parts may indicate that a powerful explosion took place aboard the plane before it hit the ground," an Egyptian forensic expert told the agency.
A DNA analysis would be required to identify the victims of the Russian A321 airliner crash in Egypt, the expert added.
Earlier, Russian tabloid LifeNews claimed to have obtained the results of a forensic medical examination that allegedly stated that the passengers “in the tail section of the liner died because of so-called blast injuries.”
According to the broadcaster, they were diagnosed with burns of over 90 percent, with experts noting particles of metal and aircraft covering piercing the bodies of the deceased.
The people in the front part of the plane died from different causes, including blood loss, shock, open head injuries and multiple fractures, it added.
There have been no official announcements made so far on the results of forensic medical examination of the crash victims.

Sinai Crash: Search zone expanded, voice recorders & black boxes to shed light on tragedy

Russian emergency teams have expanded the search zone at the Sinai plane crash site
to 40 square kilometres. For a fifth day now, they've been trying to gather as much
information as they can on the ill-fated Metrojet airliner. The plane crashed on Saturday,
killing all 224 people on board.

Sinai plane crash: Bomb fears prompt Sharm flights suspension

short vid on link......http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-34724604
The Russian plane that crashed in Egypt at the weekend "may well have been
brought down by an explosive device", Downing Street has said. All flights between
the UK and Sharm el-Sheikh have been suspended on Wednesday evening as UK
experts assess security at the Egyptian airport.Number 10 said flights had been
delayed as a "precautionary measure" after "more information has come to light".
Russian Airbus 321 crashed on Saturday, killing all 224 people on board.
"We would underline that this is a precautionary step and we are working closely
with the airlines on this approach," a Number 10 spokesman said.Aviation experts
have travelled to Egypt to make an assessment of the security arrangements at the
Egyptian airport and expect to complete an investigation tonight.
'An explosive device'
Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin said the delays would allow UK experts time
to make sure "the right security measures are in place".
"We can not categorically say why the Russia jet crashed but we have become
concerned that the plane may well have been brought down as a result of an
explosive device," he said.BBC transport correspondent Richard Westcott said there
was some concern over airport security screening in Sharm el-Sheikh.Following the
announcement, EasyJet said it had delayed two UK-bound flights from the resort -
one to Gatwick and one to Luton airport - this evening.
"We are doing all possible to keep passengers informed," a spokesman added.
A spokesman for British Airways, which is due to fly to Sharm el-Sheikh on on
Thursday, said: "Things are moving fast and we are waiting for the government to
update later in the evening."

The government said it recognised that the latest advice "may cause concern" for
Britons already in the holiday resort and for those planning to travel, saying people
should contact their airline or tour operators.
Extra consular staff have been deployed to the airport.
2,000 holidaymakers
Foreign Office travel advice for passengers travelling to Egypt has not changed.
The BBC's Christian Fraser says there are around 2,000 British holidaymakers
currently in Sharm el-Sheikh.Simon Calder, travel editor at the Independent,
said "hundreds" more holidaymakers are due to fly back on Thursday or Friday,
airlines might fly empty planes to Egypt in order to bring people home.
The suspension of flights was "slightly humiliating" for Egyptian authorities, BBC
security correspondent Frank Gardener said. Our correspondent said the action
comes as there have been "growing suspicions" the Russian plane was brought
down by an explosive device, possibly by a bomb smuggled into the plane's cargo hold.
The Metrojet flight bound for St Petersburg from Sharm el-Sheikh came down in
Egypt's Sinai desert.
Prime Minister David Cameron is chairing a meeting of the government's Cobra
emergency committee to review the situation.

I was looking at the flight data chart cider posted above ... the only way a plane that size to register dropping in speed by 300 knots in a few seconds at 30,000 feet is if there was a very large bomb, or it actually struck some other object.

CIA, Saudis To Give "Select" Syrian Militants Weapons Capable Of Downing Commercial Airliners

If that sounds insane to you, that’s because it is. Even as US intelligence (which we can only assume emanates from the CIA) indicates that IS Sinai likely brought down a Russian passenger jet with 224 people on board, the same CIA is working with the Saudis to supply “select rebels” with weapons capable of shooting down commercial airliners.

This may or not be timely , this is an interview with Daboo 7 , who
posts some good comment vids on current events. I'm about to

They start off talking about Trump , Hilary and the US elections...
Aprox 14 mins they discuss the downed plane and what we know so far.
At the end they touch on Agenda 21 , which has been updated to agenda

Shall I assume US retaliation for Russia taking out several CIA strongholds disguised as ISIS camps that were being used to fight Assad? "If it looks like a terrorist and moves like a terrorist, its a terrorist" Putin said in obvious reference to these CIA strongholds in Syria ...

‘Wednesday brought a veritable smorgasbord of “new” information
about the Russian passenger jet which fell out of the sky above the
Sinai Peninsula last weekend.
First there was an audio recording from ISIS’ Egyptian affiliate
reiterating that they did indeed “down” the plane. Next, the ISIS
home office in Raqqa (or Langley or Hollywood) released a video
of five guys sitting in the front yard congratulating their Egyptian
“brothers” on the accomplishment.
Then the UK grounded air traffic from Sharm el-Sheikh noting that
the plane “may well” have had an “explosive device” on board.
Finally, US media lit up with reports that according to American
“intelligence” sources, ISIS was probably responsible for the crash.’

Russia suspends flights to Egypt due to security concerns after Sinai crash

President Vladimir Putin has agreed with the Federal Security Service to halt all
Russian flights to Egypt following an October 31 passenger plane crash in Sinai that
killed all 224 people on board.

"As long as we haven’t established the causes of the incident, I consider it
appropriate to suspend the flights of Russian aircraft to Egypt. This primarily
applies to the tourist flow,” FSB director Aleksandr Bortnikov told a meeting of the
Russian Anti-Terror Committee on Friday.
Egypt has provided Russian investigators with access to all the fragments of the
crashed plane as well as the baggage, he said. There is need for “absolute
objectivity” and “confirmed data” to establish the causes of the disaster, he added.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Putin agreed with the
recommendations of the Federal Security Service (FSB). He added that Putin had
instructed the government to ensure the safe return of Russian citizens from Egypt
and to cooperate with the Egyptian authorities on establishing air traffic security.
The flights will be suspended until a “proper level of air communication security” is
established, he said.
Peskov said that the decision to suspend flights was “solely connected with
security” reasons, and doesn’t suggest that Moscow considers the A321 crash to be
a terrorist attack.
Russia’s civil aviation regulator has started drawing up plans to suspend flights
between Russia and Egypt, the agency’s chief, Alexander Neradko, said Friday.
Around 45,000 Russians are currently on holiday in Egypt, TASS cited figures
provided by Russia’s tourism agency.

Egypt 'Rescue Flights' Diverted In Mid-Air
Several "rescue flights" due to bring back stranded British tourists from Sharm el Sheikh have been diverted on their way to Egypt.
Sky News understands Thomas Cook, EasyJet, Monarch and Thomson flights are among those that set off for Egypt only to divert midair.
It is believed some are now heading to land in Cyprus.
A Thomas Cook jet could be seen on an online flight tracker making a sudden turn over Albania.
The UK had organised 29 rescue flights for Britons on Friday - but Egypt is now refusing to facilitate many of them.
With frustrated passengers already at Sharm el Sheikh's airport waiting to depart, Egypt's Minister of Civil Aviation, Hossam Kamal, said the number of flights cleared to depart for the UK on Friday had been cut to just eight.
He blamed Britain's ban on hold luggage - claiming the airport could not cope with any more luggage.
Downing Street said that the task of bringing British holidaymakers home posed "a number of logistical complexities".
Following an emergency Cobra meeting, a Number 10 spokesman said: "This is a hugely complex operation. We continue to work closely with both the Egyptian authorities and the airline carriers to get people safely home as quickly as possible. But the sheer scale of the task poses a number of logistical complexities.
"Our aim remains to bring holidaymakers back to the UK as soon as possible. We are working with airlines to ensure passengers get the message not to make the journey to Sharm airport until airlines have absolute confirmation that they will be able to travel.
"Our first priority remains the safety and well-being of British travellers."
:: Thomas Cook said just one of its four anticipated flights would be permitted to land in Sharm el Sheikh. This will drop passengers at Birmingham and then East Midlands Airport.
:: Monarch said four of its five flights from the UK had landed at Sharm El Sheikh airport. The fifth flight was diverted to Larnaca. The company said just two of its planes would be allowed to depart for Birmingham and Gatwick on Friday.
:: EasyJet said eight of its planned departures had been postponed - but it was expecting to fly 339 passengers home on two flights that were going ahead.
:: Thomson said just two of its flights would now depart to Gatwick "due to a last-minute change in Egyptian government restrictions".
:: British Airways said its flight from Sharm to Gatwick was expected to leave as planned.
There have been tense scenes at the airport, with a confrontation between angry passengers and Britain's ambassador to Egypt, John Casson, caught on camera.
The UK's decision to suspend flights came as lax security was exposed at Sharm airport after a British holidaymaker revealed he jumped queues and baggage checks by paying just £20 .
Meanwhile, Russia is suspending flights to Egypt amid growing evidence that a jet with 224 people on board was blown up by a terrorist bomb .
Vladimir Putin - who had previously dismissed claims of Islamic State involvement in last weekend's Metrojet disaster - said he was ordering his government to draft a plan for getting some 45,000 Russians currently in the country home.
The Russian President's U-turn came a day after he said Britain was jumping the gun by stopping flights - but the Kremlin insisted the move should not be treated as a sign that Russia has been convinced terrorists were responsible.

I haven't read all the thread so I don't know if this has been speculated on - (apologies if it has already has)
They ruled out a ground to air missile being used against the plane because of how high it was - but - what if a terrorist group has got hold of an advanced tech laser weapon or something similar?
The so-called 'moderate' rebels - are a bit of myth it seems as they join other more extreme groups - and there was the scandal when a group of these so called moderate rebels gave ISIS all the weapons that the US (and Saudi Arabia?) had given them in exchange for safe passage - a while back (or so the story went)
There's a video where John McCain is getting all gung ho about the situation and when the interviewer asked what America could do now Russia was getting involved in Syria and backing up Assad - he said that they could give the ''''Free Syrian Army'''' the ability to shoot down Russian planes.. 'that equipment is available'
Could the Russian civilian aircraft have been brought down by such 'equipment'.....??
tDFql8eE0TA
As I said pure speculation - and until the official investigation report is finished we don't know - but I'm getting a bit suspicious the way Cameron is really pushing the 'bomb on plane' scenario - because there's going to be a huge political backlash for the US / UK etc if it turns out the Russian plane was brought down by 'equipment' made in the West and given to the enemies of Assad -

The Latest: Putin's flight halt to devastate Egypt tourism
https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/latest-putins-flight-halt-devastate-153335162.html
(This paste is long.)
SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt (AP) -- The latest on the crash of a Russian plane in Egypt that killed all 224 people onboard last Saturday. (All times local.)
5:25 p.m.
Russian President Vladimir Putin's halt on flights to Egypt from Russia will affect tens of thousands of Russians and is expected to devastate Egyptian tourism.
Russian officials and tourism experts say there's about 30,000 to 40,000 Russians now in Egypt.
Tourist flights to Egypt leave daily from many Russian cities. There were 14 Egypt-bound flights Friday from Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport and another eight flights to Egypt's Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh from Moscow's Domodedovo Airport.
The Egyptian economy is deeply dependent on tourism, and the industry was hurting even before the Metrojet crash Saturday that killed 224 people.
Egypt's Tourism Minister Hesham Zazou said in September that tourism at Red Sea beach resorts was rebounding after years of turmoil following the 2011 ouster of President Hosni Mubarak, but otherwise "tourism is suffering tremendously" in Egypt.
___
5:05 p.m.
President Vladimir Putin's spokesman says the Russian leader's order to suspend all flights to Egypt does not mean that Russia now views terrorism as the main theory behind the Metrojet plane crash.
Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday "it definitely doesn't mean that. Not a single theory can be given priority, since there aren't any definite indications to prove it."
Peskov says the flight suspension will last as long as it takes Egyptian aviation authorities to put "a proper level of security" into place.
A Metrojet flight carrying mostly Russian tourists crashed over the Sinai Peninsula on Saturday, killing all 224 on board. U.S. and British officials fear a bomb might have blown up the plane in midair.
___
4:50 p.m.
A spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin says all flights to Egypt will be suspended until proper security is in place there.
Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday that the suspension will not wait until the results of the probe into Saturday's plane crash is complete. He says it will last as long as it takes Egyptian authorities to put "a proper level of security" into place.
Peskov would not say what these securities measures should be but said the Russian government will hammer out the details together with the Egyptians.

4:20 p.m.
Russian experts have brought plane wreckage samples to Moscow from Egypt to study for possible traces of explosives.
Russian news agencies on Friday quoted Emergency Situations Minister Vladimir Puchkov as saying that experts are sure to find a trace of explosives on the samples if it was a bomb that brought down the Metrojet flight on Saturday.
The Metrojet flying from the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh to Russia's St. Petersburg crashed in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, killing all 224 onboard.
U.S. and British officials fear a bomb might have blown up the plane in midair while Russian officials say they are looking into all theories of why the plane crashed.
__
4:10 p.m.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered a halt to all Russian flights to Egypt and told authorities to repatriate Russians in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh pending an investigation into Saturday's plane crash in the Sinai.
Putin on Friday promptly reacted to a suggestion by the Russian intelligence chief, who said it was "reasonable" to halt the flights. Neither Putin nor Alexander Bortnikov offered the timeline for the suspension or the repatriation.
All 224 people aboard the Oct. 31 Metrojet flight from Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg were killed, and U.S. and British officials fear a bomb might have blown up the plane in midair.
___
4 p.m.
Aviation experts say British authorities are making travelers leave most of their luggage behind when leaving the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh so that it can be intensively searched before being put on an aircraft.
The U.K. has grounded all flights to and from Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, saying there was a "significant possibility" a Russian airliner that crashed Saturday was downed by a bomb. All 224 people on the plane were killed.
Britain has not disclosed details about its intelligence, but speculation has focused on a bomb in the hold.
Analyst Paul Beaver said passengers are being told to travel with carry-on luggage only so there can be "the most thorough search" of their luggage by British security officials who have been sent to Sharm el-Sheikh. He said any checked bags would be flown back separately, probably on Royal Air Force jets.
David Learmount, editor of Flightglobal magazine, told Sky News that "not taking any luggage in the bag hold means the underfloor luggage compartment can be sealed, so that nobody can get into it."
___
3:45 p.m.
The head of the Russian intelligence agency FSB says it would be "reasonable" to suspend all Russian flights to Egypt pending the results of a probe into the cause of Saturday's crash of a Russian plane in the Sinai Peninsula.
Russian news agencies on Friday quoted Alexander Bortnikov as saying that investigators should take their time in establishing the cause of the crash. Bortnikov did not provide a timeline for the suggested suspension of flights but said it should cover all tourist flights.
All 224 people aboard the Oct. 31 Metrojet flight from Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg were killed, and U.S. and British officials fear a bomb might have blown up the plane in midair.

Budget airline easyJet says two flights have taken off from Egypt's Sharm el-Sheikh airport and are en route to London, carrying 359 vacationers who had been stranded at the Red Sea resort after British authorities grounded flights.
The airline says one flight is headed to London's Gatwick airport with 180 passengers and another with 179 passengers is bound for London's Luton airport.
EasyJet had originally planned seven other flights to London on Friday and one to Milan, but says those have been cancelled. The airline says it is paying for hotels and additional expenses for its stranded customers.
The U.K. grounded all flights to and from Egypt's Sinai Peninsula on Wednesday, saying there was a "significant possibility" a Russian airliner that crashed Oct. 31 was downed by a bomb.
___
2:30 p.m.
Egypt's civil aviation minister says Sharm el-Sheikh airport will operate eight flights to the U.K. Friday, instead of the 29 flights planned earlier.
Hossam Kamal says in an e-mailed statement that British airlines are flying without passengers' luggage, while the airport isn't able to hold more than 120 tons of luggage left behind.
"This big volume will affect the smooth operation of the rest of the domestic and international flights," says Kamal, adding that a cargo plane is planned to carry the baggage of departing passengers the same day of the departure.
"Egypt fully cooperates with the British side in the light of the resources of the airport and in accordance with international security regulations," says the minister.
___
2:10 p.m.
Britain's government says it is urgently working with Egyptian authorities to make sure planned flights leave the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.
Anger and confusion reigned Friday at the Sharm el-Sheikh airport after British airline easyJet said Egyptian authorities were disrupting plans to fly hundreds of British tourists back home. Exasperated tourists heckled the British ambassador, demanding to know when they would be flown out.
The ambassador is denying that Egypt is blocking the flights.
The British Department for Transport says travelers should not leave for the Sharm el-Sheikh airport unless they have a confirmed flight and asks for "people's patience at this difficult time."
The U.K. grounded all flights to and from Egypt's Sinai Peninsula on Wednesday, saying there was a "significant possibility" a Russian airliner that crashed Oct. 31 was downed by a bomb.

Belgium is advising its nationals not to travel to Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, until the reasons for the crash of a Russian airliner that took off from the Red City resort are determined.
All 224 people aboard the Oct. 31 Metrojet flight to St. Petersburg were killed, and U.S. and British officials fear a bomb might have blown up the plane in midair. Russian and Egyptian officials say it's too early to know that.
A travel advisory Friday on the Belgian Foreign Ministry website recommended "heightened vigilance" for anyone traveling in Egypt. It says "terrorist acts are regularly committed throughout the territory, chiefly against police and military targets, but they can also affect civilians."
It also recommended against travel in Egyptian border areas close to Libya and Sudan and in the northern Sinai Peninsula.

Exasperated British tourists who have waited for hours at the Sharm el-Sheikh airport are heckling U.K. Ambassador John Casson after reports of more flight delays and cancellations.
One irate tourist at the Red Sea resort shouted: "When are we going home?"
Casson says "our aim is to get as many people home as soon as possible" adding there would be more flights out Friday.
Britain has blocked flights to the Red Sea resort amid fears, shared by the U.S., that a bomb brought down a Metrojet carrying 224 people out of Sharm el-Sheikh on Oct. 31. Russia and Egypt say it's too soon to say that.
Casson says Egyptian authorities are not blocking flights from taking the tourists home, as easyJet was claiming.
He told tourists British authorities "will continue to work until we have everybody home. There are challenging, difficult issues to work through, this is a busy airport and we need to make sure people leave in a way that is safe."

Air France is stepping up security checks in Cairo and France is warning its citizens to limit travel around Egypt after a Russian jet crashed in the Sinai Peninsula amid fears it was downed by a bomb.
France's Foreign Ministry on Friday urged its citizens to avoid Sharm el-Sheikh, Taba and surrounding areas in Sinai unless they have an "imperative reason" to go.
France also toughened its travel warning for Egypt on Thursday. It strongly urges French travelers to avoid the rest of Sinai, avoid the Nile Delta unless necessary, and use vigilance around Cairo and some other Egyptian cities.
Air France said Friday it is reinforcing screening procedures in Cairo. Air France partner company KLM announced Friday it is only accepting hand luggage on flights from Cairo, but Air France says it is still accepting checked-in luggage.
The Metrojet crash Saturday killed 224 people, mostly Russian tourists.

The Dutch foreign minister says his government's decision to issue a negative travel advisory this week for Sharm el-Sheikh airport was linked to lax security.
Minister Bert Koenders told reporters Friday in The Hague: "We have the impression that there are insufficient security measures there."
He stressed the advisory did not cover the whole of Egypt.
Dutch travel companies are preparing to repatriate tourists vacationing at the Egyptian Red Sea resort, the takeoff point for a Metrojet plane that crashed into the Sinai desert on Oct. 31. All 224 people aboard were killed, and U.S. and British officials fear a bomb might have blown up the plane in midair.
Laura Water, a spokeswoman for travel company TUI, says it has cancelled flights on Sunday and Tuesday from Amsterdam to Sharm el-Sheikh and will fly empty planes to the resort to pick up just under 200 of its customers. Returning passengers will only be allowed to take hand luggage on board.

British airline easyJet says its plans to fly hundreds of stranded Britons back from the Sinai resort of Sharm el-Sheikh have been disrupted by Egyptian authorities.
The budget carrier had been due to operate 10 flights from the Red Sea resort on Friday, but said eight would not be able to operate because Egypt had suspended British flights from flying into the airport.
Monarch and British Airways said they still planned to operate flights back from Sinai on Friday.
The U.K. grounded all flights to and from Egypt's Sinai Peninsula on Wednesday, saying there was a "significant possibility" a Russian airliner that crashed Saturday, killing 224 people, was downed by a bomb.

A spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin says Moscow is outraged at a cartoon in the French weekly Charlie Hebdo mocking the Russian plane crash in Egypt.
Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday that Moscow views the cartoon as "blasphemy."
It's one of dozens of cartoons in this week's edition of Charlie Hebdo, which has been beset by tensions this year over whether there should be limits, after 12 people were killed at the magazine's offices by Islamic extremists over the paper's publication of caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad.
The small cartoon appears on the magazine's back page and shows plane parts and a passenger falling from the sky onto a bearded, armed man in what appears to be an Islamic robe.
The commentary reads: Islamic State: Russian aviation intensifies its bombardments.
Russians have been bombing Islamic State targets in Syria since end of September.
Lawmakers at the Russian State Duma voiced their outrage as well, calling on the government to blacklist the French publication as extremist literature and insisting that the French authorities react and apologize.

In the Netherlands, a KLM spokeswoman would not elaborate on the Dutch carrier's decision to only allow passengers to take hand luggage on board a plane that left Cairo airport on Friday.
Gedi Schrijver repeated a KLM statement that it was a precautionary measure based on "national and international information."
She told The Associated Press that "the airport in Cairo is good, because we can fly there without restrictions, but loading baggage in the hold via Cairo airport we have decided not to do that based on the information."
She would not give any more details about the source of the information that led to the decision.
KLM has no direct flights to the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, from where the doomed Russian plane took off last Saturday.

Dutch carrier KLM has instructed its passengers leaving from the Egyptian capital of Cairo that they can only take hand luggage on board the plane departing Friday.
A statement on KLM's website says the measure is "based on national and international information and out of precaution."
It follows a similar announcement from Britain, whose tourists are allowed to only take carry-on luggage as they start leaving the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.
Security officials at the Cairo airport told The Associated Press that flight KL554 left for Amsterdam on Friday morning with only 115 passengers out of the 247 who were booked.
The officials say the remaining passengers refused to leave without taking their check-in bags. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity in line with regulations.

Egyptian police are carrying out detailed security checks around the airport at Sharm el-Sheikh — the resort from where the doomed Russian plane took off last weekend — after U.K. officials confirmed that flights will start bringing stranded British tourists home from the Sinai Peninsula.
Dozens of busses are waiting outside the airport on Friday morning, with the line stretching up to a kilometer (half mile) as police inspect each vehicle. Most of those onboard are Russian and British tourists.
Britain has said that additional security measures will be in place, including only allowing passengers to carry hand baggage, while checked luggage will be transported separately.
The Metrojet plane crashed 23 minutes after taking off from the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh for St. Petersburg last Saturday, with mostly Russians aboard.
Russia and Egypt on Thursday dismissed Western suggestions that a terrorist bomb may have caused the crash that killed 224 people, saying the speculation was a rush to judgment

The Russian plane crash in Egypt last week was not due to
technical failures, French aviation officials familiar with the
investigation have told the BBC.
Other French officials said the flight data recorder suggested
a "violent, sudden" explosion caused the crash, killing all 224
people on board.
Intercepted militant calls indicate a bomb was put in the hold
before take-off, according to UK officials.

This week, in “secret circles,” Britain’s foreign intelligence services leaked information citing Saudi Arabia and Egypt as responsible for “placing a bomb” on the Russian A321 that exploded over Sinai. Now, with examination of wreckage by VT teams moving forward, the likelihood of a shoot down by air to air missiles, the real scenario that best explains one or both Malaysian Airlines “accidents,” is now moving forward.
As the story developed, intelligence agencies flooded VT with stories, all “exclusive,” and all pointing to Saudi Arabia and a “bomb.” Not one word from anyone pointed to Israel though their border was only 22 miles from the point of impact.
That alone is telling. Now, new evidence including evidence presented below that Britain silenced vital reports of an earlier failed shoot down of a “wrong plane,” point the finger to Tel Aviv.
Basically they are saying that one of the engines or the plane its self was hit by an air to air missile. Man-pads only go up to 15,000 feet. This one was at 30,000 feet.
The plane was about 40 miles inside the Egyptian Israeli border. 40 miles is the maximum limit for an AM-RAM air to air missile. If an older Phoenix missile was used on an F-15…farther. This would explain the no contrail argument for a ground launched missile.

the man who created RT to bring News from outside the Cabal owned propaganda network to Americans was just killed in Washington...
Russian Emissary Death In US Spurs Flight To Moscow Of Plane Shootdown Terrorists...
"A new Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) report circulating in the Kremlin today states that the Foreign Ministry was informed on 5 November by the Federation Embassy in Washington D.C. that they had been notified by the United States Bureau of Diplomatic Security (BDS) that a Russian national under their protection was found dead in his hotel room from what they believed was a heart attack.
According to this report, the Russian national under the protection of the BDS was Mikhail Lesin who had been dispatched to the United States by President Putin to act as his personal liaison with top Obama regime intelligence officials in negotiating the “circumstances/facts” surrounding the Islamic State’s downing of Flight 9268 over Egypt.
http://www.whatdoesitmean.com/rjd11.jpg
Mikhail Lesin (L) with President Putin (R)
"In Mikhail Lesin’s last dispatch to Moscow before his death, this report continues, he described a “contentious/argumentative” meeting with Obama regime officials wherein they made threats against the Federation should Moscow attempt to bring back to Russia two captured American “contractors” from Yemen the SVR has “associated” with the Islamic State terrorists who shot down, and claimed responsibility for, Flight 9268. "
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMwxlS6MIBM
As we have previously reported (Islamic State Shootdown Of Russian Plane “Will Be Avenged” Vows Russia and Russian Plane Shootdown Now Labeled “Political Event” As Putin Orders Nuclear War Readiness), based upon satellite data, the SVR was nearly immediately able to ascertain that Flight 9268, which had departed Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt, was shot down by a British made Starburst surface-to-air missile after it had been “forced/deceived” to a lower altitude by false “communications/electronic” measures sent from Yemen.
The knowledge to the SVR of this secret base in Yemen “misdirecting/deceiving” flights entering into and departing Sharm el-Sheikh, this report notes, was first discovered in August when a British based Thomas Airways flight approaching this area with 189 persons on board was “electronically manipulated” and then fired upon by a surface-to-air missile—but which the pilot was able to evasively maneuver away from with this missile just missing his plane by 1,000 feet.
Based upon electronic intelligence, this report says, the SVR was able to determine that the missile fired against the Thomas Airways flight, and which destroyed Flight 9268, was an act of terror committed by the Islamic State terrorist group known as Ansar Bait al-Maqdis (aka Islamic State of the Sinai or Wilayat al Sinai) about whom US officials had warned “aren’t some run-of-the-mill jihadi crew but one of the most active and potent ISIS affiliates”.
Making this Islamic State terror group in the Sinai even more deadly, this report continues, has been the military and financial support it receives from Saudi Arabia, which includes the Starburst shoulder fired antiaircraft missile given to the Saudis by British company Thales Air Defence who provided these missiles to Saudi Arabia under a contract signed in 2007, and who openly operates in this kingdom.
Immediately after Flight 9268 was shot down by these Islamic State terrorists, this report says, a combined SVR-Spetsnaz (Special Forces) “team” operating in Yemen since the attempted shoot down of the Thomas Airways flight in August, was able to locate the base being used to “manipulate/deceive” flights over the Sinai and captured its two operators—who were identified by the SVR as being holders of American passports and claimed they were working for the United Nations, a claim that was denied by the United Nations.
Upon the initial “interrogation/interview” of these two Americans in Yemen by SVR “experts”, this report says, President Putin dispatched Mikhail Lesin as his personal emissary to the United States due to the “cataclysmic” implications of the information received.
Mikhail Lesin, it should be noted, is a prominent Russian political figure and mass media expert credited with inspiring the creation of Russia Today (now RT) and had a longstanding personal friendship with President Putin.
When learning of Mikhail Lesin’s death, this report states, President Putin ordered all “negotiations” with the US suspended and further ordered the SVR to return to Federation territory the two captured Americans in Yemen—and which we detailed in our report Daring Raid Captures CIA “Assets” Who Downed Russian Plane In Egypt.
Upon these American’s further “interrogation/questioning” upon their reaching Moscow, this report continues, the SVR determined that they were employees of the private US mercenary company Academi, (Blackwater, and XE) and though holding US passports identified their country of origin as being Colombia.
Important to note about these two Blackwater/Academi/XE Colombian-Americans captured by the SVR in Yemen, this report says, are that these mercenaries of Blackwater are reported to have entered Yemen under the guise of the Colombian soldiers.
Recently, in fact, a Colombian-based media group reported that over the next few months, more than 800 Colombian military forces will enter Sana, Yemen, to support Saudi offensive strikes, and to support Saudi allies fighting in Yemen.
As to associating these two captured Blackwater/Academi/XE mercenaries with the CIA, this report concludes, awaits additional financial “examination/confirmation”—but which many SVR analysts believe is only a matter of time till proven true.
To most fully understand this report, indeed all of the other SVR reports dealing with Flight 9268, President Putin’s dispatching of his top media advisor, Mikhail Lesin, to the United States shows the proof that not only does Russia knows this plane was shot down, but also the Obama and Cameron regimes too.
What remains to be determined by Russia and West, however, is not only how best to manipulate the facts of this disaster, but the level of retaliation to be used—which if not measured and balanced, would most assuredly plunge our entire world into war." link (http://www.whatdoesitmean.com/index1938.htm)

The Sinai Shootdown – It Finally Turns to Israel
"British silence on August failed shootdown places suspicion on British involvement in downing of Russian passenger jet and complicity of "another player"
http://www.veteranstoday.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Kaiser_614.jpg
Today’s startling report of an August 2015 failed missile attack over Sinai, this time on a British airliner, has broken the web of lies and disinformation apart. Too many “leaks,” too many governments running to “bomb” without a shred of evidence, America’s immediate release of satellite evidence of an explosion when America has withheld all evidence in MH17, we are now operating in new territory here.
We are now in a full scale coverup, one that began with phony stories of mechanical difficulties from Al Jazeera, obscene cartoons from “Charlie” Hebdoe, and now floods of crafted disinformation that ignores increasing evidence.
Yesterday, the British admitted that one of their airliners was attacked by a missile, possibly an air to air missile fired by an F15. The attempted downing happened on August 23, 2015 and no one was told, not a word, nothing in the news though this startling announcement, reported thus far only in the Daily Mail, should have been earth shattering news.
Was the information withheld because the failed attempt to shoot down a Thompson Airlines jet filled with British vacationers was an accident? Was some other plane the real target, perhaps a Russian plane? Were the British silenced so that the terror operation could go forward and that increased security would be avoided?
Who has this power over Britain?
This week, in “secret circles,” Britain’s foreign intelligence services leaked information citing Saudi Arabia and Egypt as responsible for “placing a bomb” on the Russian A321 that exploded over Sinai. Now, with examination of wreckage by VT teams moving forward, the likelihood of a shoot down by air to air missiles, the real scenario that best explains one or both Malaysian Airlines “accidents,” is now moving forward.
When even President Obama began talking about bombs, the smell of obfuscation was more than simply “in the air.” As government after government, press organizations one after the other began crediting ISIS for planting a bomb on the Russian jet, failing of course to cite ISIS influence in Sinai and Egypt as non-existent in the real world, a fabrication to cover terror acts by Saudi intelligence, the real direction of this investigation became clearer.
From VT’s ex-IAEA investigator Jeff Smith:
Sources in Egypt were far more circumspect about the possible cause of the disaster.
Al-Masri al-Yaum, an Egyptian newspaper, cited an unnamed member of the commission investigating the crash saying that black box analysis suggested a explosion had occurred in one of the engines.
“The presence of a powerful explosion and simultaneous loss of all engine power (in both engines), a fire in part of the fuselage and the destruction of part of the plane in the air,” the source said, in comments picked up by Russian media.
“Samples taken from the remains of the passengers and the aircraft wreckage will determine if there were explosives present or if the blast [in the engine] was caused by technical failure,” the source added.
Egyptian radar would be blinded by the mountains at this location from detecting anything coming in from the Israeli side of the border. Israeli military maneuvers were going on in that area at the time. The plane crashed about 22 miles due south of El-Arish International air port and about 25 miles inside the Egyptian border with Israel.
[ Editor’s Note: The Israeli huge air force combat exercises in the desert were mentioned by no media on the first or even the second day I believe. Such a lock down could not have been an oversight. Israel was never mentioned in any capacity…Jim W. Dean ]
Hawk range 30+ miles. Amraam rang 30+ miles. Patriot range 43+ miles.
I-Hawk MIM-23: The MIM-23B has a larger 74 kg (163 lb) blast-fragmentation warhead, a smaller and improved guidance package, and a new M112 rocket motor. The new warhead produces approximately 14,000 2-gram (0.071 oz) fragments that cover a much larger 70 degree arc. The missiles M112 rocket motor has a boost phase of 5 seconds and a sustain phase of 21 seconds. The motors total weight is 395 kg (871 lb) including 295 kg (650 lb) of propellant. This new motor improves the engagement envelope to 1.5 to 40 km (0.93 to 24.85 mi) in range at high altitude, and 2.5 to 20 km (1.6 to 12.4 mi) at low altitude, the minimum engagement altitude is 60 meters (200 ft). The missile was operational in 1971. All US units had converted to this standard by 1978.
The AIM-120 advanced medium-range air-to-air missile (AMRAAM) is a new generation air-to-air missile. It has an all-weather, beyond-visual-range capability and is scheduled to be operational beyond 2000. AMRAAM is a supersonic, air launched, aerial intercept, guided missile employing active radar target tracking, proportional navigation guidance, and active Radio Frequency (RF) target detection. It employs active, semi-active, and inertial navigational methods of guidance to provide an autonomous launch and leave capability against single and multiple targets in all environments.
The AMRAAM weighs 340 pounds and uses an advanced solid-fuel rocket motor to achieve a speed of Mach 4 and a range in excess of 30 miles. In long-range engagements AMRAAM heads for the target using inertial guidance and receives updated target information via data link from the launch aircraft. It transitions to a self-guiding terminal mode when the target is within range of its own monopulse radar set. The AIM-120 also has a “home-on-jam” guidance mode to counter electronic jamming. With its sophisticated avionics, high closing speed, and excellent end-game maneuverability, chances of escape from AMRAAM are minimal. Upon intercept an active-radar proximity fuze detonates the 40-pound high-explosive warhead to destroy the target. At closer ranges AMRAAM guides itself all the way using its own radar, freeing the launch aircraft to engage other targets.
Patriot Guided Missile – The first fielded variant was the round MIM-104A, “Standard”. It was optimized solely for engagements against aircraft and had very limited capability against ballistic missiles. It had a range of 70 km (43 mi), and a speed in excess of Mach 2.

plane crash in Sinai.
David Cameron said British intelligence showed that a bomb
was ‘more likely than not’ the cause of the disaster that killed
224 people last Saturday, while anonymous officials in the US
said initial American investigations came to the same conclusion.’
Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin has remained tight-lipped but cancelled
all flights between Russia and Egypt as Isis’ claim of responsibility
gained traction.Spy agencies reportedly intercepted “chatter”
between suspected militants suggesting a bomb had been hidden
amid luggage in the hold and detonated to bring down the plane.
Sameh Shoukry said no other countries had given the Egyptian
government access to their information.
“The information we have heard about has not been shared with
Egyptian security agencies in detail,” he told a news conference.

Of the three theories examined above - the one that is rejected with a cross as 'not credible' is the one I speculated about in my post 81 -
I notice things like that -
when trying to figure out 'stuff' - I find considering what is omitted and taking note of what we are encouraged to believe, (from mainstream and alternative sources) is a useful way to try and get to the bottom of things -

Indeed greybeard - it does feel like a lunatic asylum - and what's happening in the Middle East and Syria in particular at the moment can only be described as madness, IMO -
In the post I did with the McCain video I was struck by the fact that he did not look like a well man -
I looked him up to see what he had in his background after Putin made a remark about him having spent years incarcerated in bad conditions in Vietnam -

During the Vietnam War, he was almost killed in the 1967 USS Forrestal fire. In October 1967, while on a bombing mission over Hanoi, he was shot down, seriously injured, and captured by the North Vietnamese. He was a prisoner of war until 1973. McCain experienced episodes of torture, and refused an out-of-sequence early repatriation offer. His war wounds left him with lifelong physical limitations.
now I'm thinking that this is a man who definitely isn't well - not just physically but mentally as well and is probably on medication -
How many world leaders and influential politicians are on medication, not just for pain and similar, but for depression and anxiety...and how does this effect their judgement and emotional state?
Apparently large numbers of ISIS (Al Qaeda and other affiliated terrorist groups) are on drugs - in paricular one called captagon...
It doesn't take a stretch of the imagination to understand how this could affect their actions and make it easier for them to go around doing acts of mass murder, be-headings, violence, suicide bombings and getting all hyper about their religion -
nFz39oVhPXY
perhaps the insanity that is so clear to us who are not drugged up all the time isn't clear to those involved - - - ?
The widespread use of anti- depressants etc in America can't be helping, either -
http://www.healthline.com/health-news/policy-seventy-percent-of-americans-take-prescription-drugs-062113
Nearly seven out of 10 Americans were prescribed at least one drug in 2009, and half were given two or more, according to new research from the Mayo Clinic.
The most commonly prescribed drugs were antibiotics, antidepressants, and painkilling opioids, according to the study, published this week in the journal Mayo Clinic Proceedings.
Just how many of the key players in this theatre of madness are on mind altering drugs? Is Obama on anti-depressants? He is certainly having to cope with a lot of stress - maybe one day politicians will be required to make public the legal drugs they are prescribed so people can see better what's going on with the people who are making decisions that affect their lives and the future of their country???

no way can an air to air be crossed out as possibility. maybe a drone? maybe a fighter jet fired the missile?
I was thinking more of something on the ground, like a mobile laser weapon or similar with links to Global Positioning System..?
something about as big as a small car that could have a long range capability and be hidden or camouflaged quite easily - something that might have been given to the so-called mythical 'moderate rebels - by the US or Saudi Arabia..
(speculation) ^
When it comes to madness - Obama and McCain can't be singled out as the only ones - Bush seemed off his rocker a lot of the time :) and I seem to remember reading somewhere that he was on Prozac - but don't quote me on that as it's from memory..

Israel Held ‘Largest Ever’ Air Combat Drill Nearby, On Same Day as Russian Sinai Crash.
.....The “Blue Flag” exercise, which is continuing through November 3, pits the Israeli Air Force, the United States Air Force, Greece’s Hellenic Air Force and the Polish Air Force against a fictional enemy state, the captain in charge of all IAF exercises told The Times of Israel Thursday night.
A number of other countries, including Germany, also sent pilots and officers to observe the exercise, but did not take part.
This joint drill is the second “Blue Flag” exercise; the first took place in 2013 and was the largest multi-lateral exercise the IAF had ever hosted.
The various air forces collaborated closely through every step of the current exercise, the IAF captain said, from planning to execution and finally to debriefing..... Full article here (http://www.timesofisrael.com/israel-hosts-its-largest-ever-international-air-force-exercise/)
Ovda Airfield was the base for the exercise.

Italian govt suspects bizarre fires in Sicily caused by 'large amount of EM energy' from 'top secret weapon of unknown power' (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/10/26/waliens126.xml)

In light of the anomalous nature of what little evidence has thus far emerged concerning what happened to Russian Flight 9268 (http://www.sott.net/article/305887-Was-an-exotic-energy-weapon-used-to-down-Russian-plane-in-Sinai), we're re-running this article about weird fires in northern Sicily in 2007.
http://www.sott.net/image/s14/280163/large/Sicily_fires_1.jpg (http://www.sott.net/image/s14/280163/full/Sicily_fires_1.jpg)
Household objects, including unplugged electrical appliances, spontaneously burst into flames in the town of Canneto di Caronia in northern Sicily
Aliens were responsible for a series of unexplained fires in fridges, TVs and mobile phones in an Italian village, according to an Italian government report. Canneto di Caronia, in northern Sicily, drew attention three years ago after residents reported everyday household objects bursting into flames.
TV news footage at the time showed electrical appliances as well as cookers, a pile of wedding presents and furniture smouldering. Dozens of experts including scientists, electrical engineers and military boffins, arrived in the village 60 miles east of Palermo to investigate the phenomenon.
Arson was quickly ruled out and at one stage an amazed scientist was interviewed after he described how he saw an unplugged electrical cable burst into flames.
Locals were quick to blame supernatural forces and at the time the Vatican's chief exorcist Father Gabriele Amorth backed up their fears and said: "I've seen things like this before. Demons occupy a house and appear in electrical goods. Let's not forget that Satan and his followers have immense powers."
Now, in an interim leaked report published by several Italian newspapers, it has emerged that the Civil Protection Department has concluded the most likely cause was "aliens".
SOTT Comment: (http://www.sott.net/article/142482-Italian-govt-suspects-bizarre-fires-in-Sicily-caused-by-large-amount-of-EM-energy-from-top-secret-weapon-of-unknown-power)
Actually, as we'll see below, that is NOT what the report said. "Aliens" is The Telegraph, like all Western media at the time, pre-emptively sensationalizing the findings of this Italian government report. The reason they did this, we suspect, was to 'blow smoke' on behalf of the perpetrators. The report was ordered by the Italian government and brought together dozens of experts including a NASA scientist. Their two-year investigation has cost an estimated £1 million.
According to the report, the fires were "caused by a high power electro magnetic emissions which were not man made and reached a power of between 12 and 15 gigawatts."
The report also detailed a possible UFO landing close to the village, citing "burnt imprints which have not been explained were found in a field."
Francesco Mantegna Venerando, Sicily's Civil Protection chief who coordinated the report, said:
"This is not the final report. We are still working on our conclusions and this has been leaked. We are not saying that 'little green men from Mars' started the fires but that unnatural forces capable of creating a large amount of electromagnetic energy were responsible. This is just one possibility we are also looking at. Another one involves the testing of top secret weapons by an unknown power, weapons capable of producing an enormous amount of energy."

The head of the Egypt-led investigation committee called for accurate media coverage of the A321 crash investigation.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — While covering the developments related to the Russian A321 plane crash in Egypt, media should rely exclusively on official statements, while any "uncertain" sources should be avoided, the head of the Egypt-led investigation committee said on Sunday.

On Saturday, the Egypt-led investigation committee issued a statement, according to which the reason for the Russian Kogalymavia plane crash in Sinai is yet to be determined. The following day, Reuters reported, citing a unidentified member of the inquiry, that investigators into the plane crash in Egypt were "90 percent sure" the noise heard on the final seconds of a cockpit recording was an explosion caused by a bomb. "News and media claims, quoting an anonymous source, allegedly one of the members of the Commission, are incorrect, and should not prevail," Ayman Muqaddam was quoted in the statement published by the Egyptian Ministry of Civil aviation.
The head of the commission has also called for accurate media coverage of the A321 crash investigation.
On October 31, the Russian Kogalymavia airliner, carrying 224 people, crashed in the Sinai Peninsula en route from Sharm El-Sheikh to St. Petersburg. All people on board died in what has become the biggest tragedy in Russian and Soviet civil aviation history.

This is between the US/Allies and Russia/Allies.
There has been a gradually escalating Cold War between the two for years, of which the public has mostly been kept in the dark about.
Unexplained/Unacknowledged missile launches, which have been occurring over the past several years, are called Saber-Rattling (See what we can do?).
Unexplained disappearances and/or take-downs of passenger airliners are called False-Flags (Blamed on another party).
If you want confirmation of just how serious this has become you need to read the RT/USA News article which I posted in the Putin in Syria: Squeezing US/NATO/Gladio out of Eurasia - Leuren Moret (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?86500-Putin-in-Syria-Squeezing-US-NATO-Gladio-out-of-Eurasia-Leuren-Moret&p=1017558#post1017558) thread, about statements made by US Defense Secretary Ash Carter.
Russia & China Are ‘Challenging The World Order’ – US Defense Sec (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?86500-Putin-in-Syria-Squeezing-US-NATO-Gladio-out-of-Eurasia-Leuren-Moret&p=1017548&viewfull=1#post1017548)
It is my opinion that the take-down of this Russian passenger plane was caused by the use of a Directed-Energy/Laser weapon, and possibly a Space-Borne one. My reasoning for this is that the Fuel Cells on a passenger aircraft are contained within the wings, the Flash Point of Jet A fuel (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jet_fuel) is only 38 °C (100 °F) and the Autoignition Temperature of Jet A fuel (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autoignition_temperature) is only 210 °C (410 °F), and the only residue to be found from such an explosion would be from the components of the fuel.
Which all makes the following comments made by Carter an important hint:
Excerpt:
To confront the threat, the US military industrial complex is heavily investing in cutting-edge warfare technologies “that are most relevant to Russia’s provocations.” Such as? “New unmanned systems, a new long-range bomber… innovation in technologies like the electromagnetic railgun, lasers and new systems for electronic warfare, space and cyberspace, including a few surprising ones I really can’t describe here,” Carter said

One reason for wars is to fire their weapons so they can develop and sell more '
The mil ind complex' share holders, warmongers and all. Of course other countries
China ,Russia and others have their own arms manufactures, so we are heading
back to the 'Arms race' of the cold war. Which is what these corporate war mongers
and 'chicken Hawke' politicians and of course the generals and admirals who would
not have a job !!
Which is why some British generals have been lobbying to get involved with the
bombing of Syria. The UK is already involved with the conflict going on in Iraq with
drones and other efforts which has been downplayed as if we are letting our allies down....

The UK is currently only targeting Islamic State militants in Iraq
The UK is "letting down" its allies by failing to launch air strikes against terrorist
group Islamic State in Syria, says Britain's top military commander.
General Sir Nicholas Houghton, the chief of the defence staff, criticised the UK
policy of restricting RAF air strikes to neighbouring Iraq.
He told Sky News the decision "makes no sense" when IS, also known as Isil, has
its stronghold in Syria.
MPs rejected possible UK military action in Syria in 2013.
Sir Nicholas told Sky's Murnaghan programme: "To an extent yes, we are letting
our allies down by not being a full player."

Blood Media: Many of CNN, FOX News ‘Experts’ Cashing In On Wars They’re Hyping
November 6, 2015 By 21wire 3 Comments
21st Century Wire says…
Here’s a key story we ran previously, and it’s even more relevant today.
Back in late 2013, an independent investigation revealed that at least 22
defense industry stakeholders were used by the likes of CNN, FOX News
and others – as ‘experts’ and ‘correspondents’ in order to help sell another
war in Syria (or anywhere else for that matter).
Just remember the following when you see the usual corporate media
operatives on TV trying to sell you another next war…
http://www.davidicke.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/MSNBC-war-Syria-GE-O-Bagy-McCain.jpg
NOTE: The Pentagon should really sell sponsorship on US missiles
and bombs to its trove of corporate partners (Image: 21WIRE)
Before the White House’s Syrian War flop, networks like CNN, MSNBC,
Fox News and Bloomberg TV wheeled out at least 22 different men who
they claimed were “pundits” and “commentators”, but in actuality were
merely bomb and missile salesmen – who held director, board and
shareholding positions with military giants like Raytheon, DC Capital
Partners and BAE Systems.
Yes, you heard that right.
Watchdog organisation, the Public Accountability Initiative, a non-profit
research group, details this and many more disclosures in its recent and
damning report on US media coverage to hype a war in Syria.
Should CNN, MSNBC, FOX lose their broadcasting licenses in the US for
this gross breach of ethics, particularly when it’s used to sell something
as violent and abhorrent as war? We say YES. Will that happen in the US?
Well, no, because the media in the US is far from bias and is tightly linked
in ownership and sponsorship to the war industry. Start with General
Electric and work your way around the table from there.

Why British Haste on Plane Bomb Theory?
By David Icke on 8th November 2015
http://www.davidicke.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/get-attachment-82.jpg
‘British officials have made an unseemly leap to speculate on a
terrorist plot in the Russian airliner crash over Sinai last weekend.
And Russia has understandably reacted furiously to the speculation,
saying that it is too early to make such an assessment when crash
investigators have not even compiled, let alone evaluated, evidence.
American officials, including President Barack Obama, are also now
echoing the British claims of a bomb on the plane. The question is:
why the haste?’

Militants Allegedly Linked to A321 Plane Crash Spoke in British Accents
By David Icke on 8th November 2015
http://www.davidicke.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/1029694276.jpg
‘The Telegraph newspaper said late Saturday it had picked up on reports
suggesting that British-born jihadists could have been involved in the air
tragedy in Sinai, a desert region where militant insurgency has been on
the rise since last year.
The British outlet said it was too early to claim that perpetrators were British,
but if confirmed this would move the issue of ISIL recruiting Britons high up
the UK government’s anti-terrorist agenda.
UK and US officials said earlier this week there was a possibility that the
crashed Russian airliner could have been brought down by a bomb. The
Airbus A321 was flying from the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh to St.
Petersburg when it crashed, killing all 224 people on board.’

The composite image being referred to is this one. The photo on the left appears to show a window (to the rear left), implying that we're looking at the exterior of the fuselage.
Looking at the bending of the metal round the hole, that seems to imply that the shrapnel effect came from inside the fuselage, not from outside. Just noting what my eyes seems to be telling me when I look closely at the photo.

Right: what's missing is the substantiating of an equivalent entry point from the opposite side of the fuselage... not documented.
The steel ball bearings (http://www.veteranstoday.com/2015/11/10/british-foreign-secretary-says-bomb-which-means-missile/) or cubes will go completely through the fuselage and exit on the other side of the plane. This imply’s a hit on the lower right rear section with an exit on the upper left side of the plane.
On another hand here is what an "explosive decompression" does to a jet:

The causes of the crash of the Russian Airbus above the Sinai are still unknown. Valentin Vasilescu studies the most frequently mentioned tracks (explosion of an engine or fuel tank, collision with another aircraft, attack of a ground-air or air-to-air missile or a bomb on board). While this article was being translated [from Romanian to French for the time being], we learned that no traces of explosives were found on the debris, which [tend to] confirms the thesis of the bomb could be discarded.

It may suit the powers that be to discover that the repair to the rear end of the plane failed in flight.
Seems to be heading in that direction--no trace of explosion and parts of planes don’t just explode without some warning.
If some part had, I would have thought some instrumentation would have shown warning---recorded on black box.

So, no traces of explosive residues but metal fragments extracted out of dead bodies:
Russian media outlet LifeNews claims that more than 200 fragments of human remains from approximately 150 people have arrived in St Petersburg.
According to sources, there was a significant difference in the cause of death between passengers at the front and the rear of the aircraft.
Those at the front suffered 'blunt force trauma of the chest, abdomen and pelvis with multiple fractures of upper and lower limbs with tears to the internal organs. Deaths occurred due to acute blood loss, shock and open head injuries.'
Those at the rear of aircraft suffered 'explosive trauma with multiple burns over 90 per cent of their soft tissues'.
Passengers at the back had shrapnel injuries and were peppered with metal particles.
(according to the DailyMail (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3301094/Terrifying-final-moments-doomed-Russian-jet-Plane-lurched-passengers-sucked-seats-external-impact-blew-jet-apart-flight-data-reveals.html))

Israel Held ‘Largest Ever’ Air Combat Drill Nearby, On Same Day as Russian Sinai Crash
November 8, 2015 by 21wire 20 Comments
21st Century Wire says…
‘Last week, 21WIRE raised a number of the questions, including the possibility that Israeli
intelligence could have been involved in the downing of Russian Metro Airlines Flight 7K9268.
It’s no revelation that the Egyptian resort destination of Sharm El-Sheikh is also a well-known
Israeli Mossad ‘intelligence playground’. If indeed Israeli covert operatives were somehow
involved in this incident, it wouldn’t be the first time that Israel carried out a false flag attack
in order to manipulate another nation into a wider war. The case of Israel’s attack on the
USS Liberty is a prime example of this.
Any one who has studied false flag attacks will know the importance of running a large
‘security drill’ or military exercise – in order to provide cover for any military chatter which
might be picked up by a neutral observer and also to deflect any attention away from a
nearby clandestine operation.’
What we discovered next might shock some readers (but will hardly surprise them)…
http://21stcenturywire.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/2-Israeli-Drill-Russian-Crash-Sinai.jpg
2-Israeli-Drill-Russian-Crash-Sinai
As it turns out - on the very same day as the Russian airline crash in the Sinai Peninsula
on October 30th, and only 40 miles away from the crash zone, the Israeli Military was
hosting its largest-ever international Air Defense drill based at Ovda Airfield near Eilat
and taking place over the Arava desert in the south of Israel.
According to its organizers, the military exercise included Israeli, American, Greek, and
Polish air personnel, together “squaring off against a fictional enemy state in two-week drill”.
The event included all of Israel’s most advanced air and communications capabilities.
According to the Times of Israel:
“The “Blue Flag” exercise, which is continuing through November 3, pits the Israeli Air Force,
the United States Air Force, Greece’s Hellenic Air Force and the Polish Air Force against a
fictional enemy state, the captain in charge of all IAF exercises told The Times of Israel
Thursday night. A number of other countries, including Germany, also sent pilots and officers
to observe the exercise, but did not take part.”
“This joint drill is the second “Blue Flag” exercise; the first took place in 2013 and was the
largest multi-lateral exercise the IAF had ever hosted.”
“Those requests came together to form the plan for “Blue Flag,” which sent Israeli and American
F-15 squadrons, along with Israeli, Hellenic and Polish F-16 squadrons, flying through nearly all
of Israel’s air space, firing simulated weapons against fictional enemy missile launchers, convoys
and aircraft, he said.”
Is it possible that the plane was shot down by an advanced combat aircraft? It’s very possible –
and this massive drill would have provided the cover for it.

Early ‘US and UK Intelligence on Sinai Plane Bombing Came From Israel
By David Icke on 10th November 2015
‘In the hours after the downing of a Russian airliners over Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula,
there was little to no intelligence comment from Western nations. It was only a few
days later that they started giving credence to the idea that ISIS, who immediately
claimed credit, was actually responsible.
It now appears that the intelligence they suddenly had on the bombing wasn’t internally
gathered, as US diplomatic sources say Israel actually provided the two nations with
intelligence of their own about the matter. Israel is so far not offering additional details.’

Good photos!
For whatever it's worth:
These ARE indicative of an INTERNAL explosion (as-in a bomb) and NOT indicative of an EXTERNAL explosion (as-in a missile):
http://divannaya-sotnya.com.ua/uploads/images/00/00/21/2015/11/05/c56dca.jpg
http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2015/11/05/17/2E20632800000578-3303948-Further_proof_Russian_media_has_noted_that_there_are_holes_in_th-a-36_1446745564400.jpg
However, so-far there is this major lack of evidence to support the theory that it was indeed a planted bomb:
Traces of explosives were not found on bodies recovered from the crash site of Flight 7K9268 (http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/world-news/russian-plane-crash-no-explosive-residue-found-on-bodies-of-victims-say-russians-34169607.html)
From that same link above, there is another comment which points to this being an INTERNAL event:
"Judging by the recording, a situation onboard developed suddenly and unexpectedly for the crew, and as a result the pilots did not manage to send a distress signal," a source said.
An Egyptian doctor who examined around half of the 224 bodies said that about one in five of the corpses had been badly burned in the moments before death.
The finding suggests that a fire broke out in the cabin while the plane was still in the air, but the doctor was not able to firmly conclude what caused the fire.
I also want to point out that if it were an event anything similar to what this image represents:
http://www.whatdoesitmean.com/rjd3.png
Remembering that the Cockpit Voice Recorder and the Flight Data Recorder both have battery backups, the CVR would not only have picked up the explosion but should have been able to continue recording for a few seconds more (at least until it's Cockpit Microphone was destroyed), and the FDR should have continued operating long enough to record the systematic but NOT INSTANTANEOUS failure of the systems.
But this was not the case:
The investigators said the cockpit voice recorder of Metrojet Flight 9268 shows an explosion and the flight data recorder confirms the explosion is not accidental -- there is no sign of mechanical malfunction during the initial part of the flight
[...]
Everything is fine during the first 24 minutes, then in a fraction of a second there is a blackout and no more cockpit conversation
[...]
"It's this split second, and it's a millisecond, where you hear an explosion of some description," he said. "And you see all the parameters (on the recorders) go haywire before the power is completely lost. If this report is accurate, (investigators) have now analyzed that ... heard it and they can identify it."
KCCI.com (http://www.kcci.com/national/flights-to-resume-as-russia-egypt-downplay-theory/36293570)
Which all leads me to believe that it was an almost instantaneous and total destruction of the craft.
Now, without discussing any of the political reasons, I'd like to explain briefly (but hopefully understandably) a little further my reasoning for My Post #101 (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?86456-Wreckage-found-as-Russian-passenger-plane-crashes-in-Sinai-Egypt&p=1017717&viewfull=1#post1017717) in which I said:
It is my opinion that the take-down of this Russian passenger plane was caused by the use of a Directed-Energy/Laser weapon, and possibly a Space-Borne one. My reasoning for this is that the Fuel Cells on a passenger aircraft are contained within the wings, the Flash Point of Jet A fuel is only 38 °C (100 °F) and the Autoignition Temperature of Jet A fuel is only 210 °C (410 °F), and the only residue to be found from such an explosion would be from the components of the fuel.
(This explanation assumes that most everyone understands what might happen when you apply a source of ignition to a combination of pressurized fuel and pressurized air. :))
1.
The engines (located on the wings) are provided with pressurized fuel from the fuel tanks (also located within the wings) which is combined with compressed air. (There is also a center fuel tank on this aircraft, but as Mr. Spock would say "That's sauce for the goose". :))
2.
The Auxiliary Power Unit (APU), located in the tail section of the aircraft, is also provided with fuel from the same tanks which means the fuel lines extend for much of the length of the craft.
3.
Emergency Oxygen tanks containing Liquid Oxygen (LOX) are located both in the compartment under the Cockpit (for the Flight Crew) and in the Tail Section (for the Passenger Cabin). These tanks are highly pressurized, making them potential bombs ready to go off and effective shrapnel-producing vessels.
And when you add to the above the fact that the entire Cabin is fed with fresh air to provide for pressurization and air conditioning, it should not be difficult to understand how an almost instantaneous chain of events can occur resulting in an explosive fireball throughout the aircraft.
And I came up with all that BEFORE I seen these next two photos:
http://i.imgur.com/9l1UZaF.jpg
The Wing Tanks and Engines - Maybe the most vulnerable part of the aircraft.
http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2015/11/01/16/2E03122A00000578-3299019-image-a-1_1446394104751.jpg
Aviation sources claim the tail section of the aircraft shows evidence of 'the fuselage skin peeling outwards possibly indicative of a force acting outwards from within' - possibly a bomb - which could be linked to the earliest moments of the aircraft's disaster sequenceWhere the LOX Tanks and APU is located.
Until I see more photos/evidence which will indicate otherwise, I'm sticking with my analysis.

In light of the anomalous nature of what little evidence has thus far emerged concerning what happened to Russian Flight 9268 (http://www.sott.net/article/305887-Was-an-exotic-energy-weapon-used-to-down-Russian-plane-in-Sinai), we're re-running this article about weird fires in northern Sicily in 2007.[...]
Consistent with an EM spraying of the plane is the incoherence and inconsistent data received by FR24 stations:
http://picload.org/image/pldddrl/incident.jpg
... the data sent and received shows the sensors went all berserk!
It may not be that the sensors themselves went berserk, but the electronic data they were sending sure got scrambled!

More about those spontaneous combustions in Sicily, in 2004:
Canneto in Sicily, Italy, targeted by 'electromagnetic energy weapon' (http://www.sott.net/article/305887-Was-an-exotic-energy-weapon-used-to-down-Russian-plane-in-Sinai)

Back in 2004, the village of Canneto, Italy, was subject to a bizarre 3-week episode (http://www.sott.net/article/137400-Italian-Villagers-flee-as-fridges-burst-into-flames) of 'electrical fires' breaking out in water pipes, washing machines, cookers and furniture, for no apparent reason. Even when the power was cut to the entire village, the fires continued. USB keys were wiped, compasses went haywire, automatic gates opened and closed by themselves, a car's window was shattered by what the owner described as an "invisible drill bit". UFOs were also seen in the area, according to Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera (http://www.corriere.it/cronache/08_settembre_08/magazine_xfiles_e721d8a8-7daf-11dd-8ad1-00144f02aabc.shtml). One 'UFO' followed a helicopter of the civil defence forces, forcing it to land due to a malfunction of the rotor blades. On the ground it was discovered that all 3 blades had been damaged by an unknown object which had "changed the electrical conductivity within the blades".
http://www.sott.net/image/s14/280177/large/canneto_ufo_helicopter.jpg (http://www.sott.net/image/s14/280177/full/canneto_ufo_helicopter.jpg)

And the damage to one of the blades
The bizarre fires also targeted a single species of plant - "Ampelodesmos mauritanicus" - ignoring all other flora. The roots of hundreds of the plants growing in the area around Canneto were carbonized deep into the soil. The possibility of human intervention was ruled out.
http://www.sott.net/image/s14/280181/large/Cannetpo_Ampelodesmos_mauritan.jpg (http://www.sott.net/image/s14/280181/full/Cannetpo_Ampelodesmos_mauritan.jpg)
One of the many 'Ampelodesmos mauritanicus' plants that were burned to a crisp by the 'unknown electromagnetic energy' that targeted the village of Canneto in 2004
In 2007, it was proposed that the phenomena are caused by intermittent electromagnetic emissions, but a confidential file on the events that was delivered to the Civil Defence and the office of the Prime Minister of Italy advanced the hypothesis that "secret military tests" (http://www.sott.net/article/142482-Italian-govt-suspects-bizarre-fires-in-Sicily-caused-by-large-amount-of-EM-energy-from-top-secret-weapon-of-unknown-power) were to blame.
Obviously, this world is a far stranger place than most people recognize. It also appears to be ruled by individuals with an agenda and the means to achieve that agenda, that most people would find impossible to comprehend, much less accept as factual. The individuals in question are undoubtedly very content with such a state of affairs. By the way, the word 'Mossad', as used here, probably doesn't equate to the overt Israeli government, but rather something much more sinister, if you can wrap your head around that.

In the latest ouija board session from Laura Knight-Jadczyk and friends, obtained at November, 7 2015, (https://cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php/topic,40010.msg613287.html#msg613287) the "other side" also favorized the energetic weapon hypothesis.
(A = Answers obtained form the ouija board, which was operated by three people simultanously.)
(Perceval) What caused the downing of the Russian plane in the Sinai?
A: External, think Mossad and energy weapons.
Q: (Andromeda) That was my first guess.
(Perceval) That was my first guess, as well.
(Approaching Infinity) Did it have anything to do with the US/Israel wargames happening then?
A: Cover for same.
Q: (L) What was that flight that went down over the Atlantic way back when? The C's talked about it.
(Perceval) TWA Flight 800?
(L) Yeah, Flight 800.
A: Yes. Similar system.
[...]
Q: (Pierre) During 9/11, there was a similar high-energy weapon in conjunction with an unexpected cyclone...
A: Yes
Q: (L) So they're just experimenting with this kind of stuff. They're playing with it.
A: Yes
Q: (Pierre) Deadly games.
(Perceval) So, it was intentional, right?
A: Yes
[...]
(Perceval) Calm down, Approaching Infinity! [laughter] So, when they say "Mossad" as an answer to a lot of these questions, we're not really talking about the overt Israeli government here, right?
A: No. Kabbalists.
Q: (Perceval) Does the Russian government have any idea that that's who shot the plane down?
A: Oh indeed!
Q: (L) That's why they've taken the path of accepting the ISIS explanation, because that gives them time to...
(Perceval) They haven't really accepted that yet. They're telling everybody to just calm down until the investigation is over.
(PoB) Can it be discovered by the investigation?
A: This kind of weapon does not leave the usual traces. But it does have a "signature".
Q: (Perceval) There are a couple of strange things. One of them was the 3-year-old girl who was a victim was found 34 kilometers away from the crash site. It was just one girl that was found that far away.
(Andromeda) So, part of the plane broke apart, like there was a hole... Even if it didn't break apart, she could have...
(Perceval) Maybe. Or maybe it was high-energy, or a bleedthrough or distortion of spacetime...
A: Yes
Q: (L) Spacetime distortion.
(Niall) Like the Philadelphia Experiment.
(Perceval) There was another strange thing. The front of the plane right up to the cockpit and the wings was all lying in more or less one piece, but completely burned. The picture from above showed two perfectly black wings attached to the body, but it looked like it was spontaneously combusted or something. This was after it supposedly hit the ground! Very strange. It looked like somebody had set fire to it on the ground.
A: Effects of the energy.
Q: (Atreides) Remember during 9/11 how all that stuff was burnt, but only on one half?
(L) Yeah, in a strange pattern.
(Atreides) And all the iron was removed, but the aluminum was left intact.
(Niall) I think I also saw a photo where a whole section of the actual carriage was intact. So, from the ground...
(L) And, there were pictures of the luggage that was all intact, so it couldn't have been a bomb in the hold.
(Perceval) It was almost like a case of spontaneous human combustion.
(L) It was like some things in a certain space were incinerated, but other things were intact...
(Perceval) Or made of a certain material. And there are no reports of being burned, but a lot of bodies were dismembered.
(L) Yeah, that's some kind of hellacious weapon, huh?
A: Indeed. Russia has equivalents.

If you're worried about surveillance drones cruising over your neighborhood, then this new technology from Boeing will have you running for your microwave shielded shelter. Last week, defense company Boeing conducted the first successful test of a drone called the Counter-electronics High-powered Advanced Missile Project (CHAMP) that can emit a powerful burst of microwaves and fry every piece of electronics in its path — from personal computers and cameras to high-tech hospital equipment and flight control computers.
According to Boeing (http://www.boeing.com/Features/2012/10/bds_champ_10_22_12.html):
CHAMP approached its first target and fired a burst of High Power Microwaves at a two story building built on the test range. Inside rows of personal computers and electrical systems were turned on to gauge the effects of the powerful radio waves.
Seconds later the PC monitors went dark and cheers erupted in the conference room. CHAMP had successfully knocked out the computer and electrical systems in the target building. Even the television cameras set up to record the test were knocked off line without collateral damage.
"This technology marks a new era in modern-day warfare," said Keith Coleman, CHAMP program manager for Boeing Phantom Works. "In the near future, this technology may be used to render an enemy's electronic and data systems useless even before the first troops or aircraft arrive." These drones are being touted as non-lethal weapons, aimed at taking out an enemy's "electrical systems," like say targeting systems or maybe their intelligence databases. But to say that this is a non-lethal weapon seems a bit disingenuous, since so many lives depend on electricity. Knocking out the computers in a hospital, or the technology in computer-guided vehicles, could lead to fatalities. And losing databases of information could lead to many more deaths in the long term. Imagine one of these drones taking out a stock exchange or a water management system. Or a computer-controlled dam. The consequences could be quite dire.
So thanks, Boeing, for bringing us into the era of indirectly lethal weapons. Things are about to get interesting, as they say.

There are also reports indicating that the Russians have deployed very sophisticated electronic warfare units including top-of-the line Krasukhka-4 EW systems (http://lenta.ru/news/2015/10/05/krasuha/) which are amongst the most sophisticated mobile EW systems ever built (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krasukha_EW_System) and they are reportedly capable of jamming AWACS and satellites in space. Add to this the presence of SU-30SMs in the skies, and you have a force capable of controlling the Syrian skies.
When asked about this Russian officials gave a cute reply: they said that these air-defense systems were deployed in case of a hijacked aircraft being used to attack the Russian airbase in Latakia. Right.
The real purpose of these efforts is becoming obvious: Russia is trying to deny the US the control of the skies over Syria and, so far, there is very little the USA can do about it (short of starting WWIII). Furthermore, the Russians are also sending a message to Turkey, France and Israel – all countries which have, at different times and in different ways, indicated that they wanted to use the Syrian airspace for their own purposes.

While this article was being translated [from Romanian to French for the time being], we learned that no traces of explosives were found on the debris, which [tend to] confirms the thesis of the bomb could be discarded.
http://www.voltairenet.org/article189228.html
An update of the orginal article :
Apparently, no traces of explosives found by the Russian investigators, no single chemical signature on the debris or victims found.
This seems to make more sense than the supposedly intercepted conversation by UK secret services or the supposedly captured flash/heat by US satellites.
This said, I don't understand how the failure of an automatic system can lead to such a sudden total and dramatic loss of control with no voice recording of the pilots desperate attempts to manoeuvre the plane or what was left of.
Airbus 321 in the Sinaï - only one hypothesis remains
by Valentin Vasilescu
Valentin Vasilescu demonstrates here the impossibility of the theory of a bomb placed in the plane. After having explored all hypotheses, there is now only one left – that of a failure in the software of the automatic pilot. We may therefore conclude that the accusations of the United Kingdom and the United States, as well as the claim for responsibility by the Islamic Emirate, are propaganda. The crash was not a terrorist attack. But the problems in the automatic pilot system may be either an accident or the effect of sabotage by an extremely specialised secret service.
Russian investigators brought with them to Egypt a complex apparatus designed to test the débris both inside and outside the plane. This equipment enables the detection of aerosol-based explosives to a level of sensitivity of 20 nanogrammes. If, in the test solutions, there appear traces of a brown-violet colour, the agent is revealed as TNT. If an orange precipitate appears, the explosive is Tetryl, or another explosive from group A (TNB, DNT, picric acid, etc.). The Russian device possesses a range of separate tests for explosives from group B. With this system, the appearance in test solutions of a rosy colour would indicate the use of dynamite, nitroglycerine, RDX, PETN, SEMTEX or nitrocellulose. If the chemical reactions do not identify explosives from groups A and B, the test equipment automatically checks for the presence of components containing inorganic nitrates, such as chlorine, bromine or peroxyde, used in the preparation of improvised explosive devices (ANFO).
The Egyptian daily Almasry Alyoum published a declaration from the team of investigators working on the accident of the Russian A321 in the Sinaï peninsula — the team affirmed that no trace of explosive had been discovered in the débris of the plane, or on the articles of clothing and tissues recovered from the passengers. Thus, the hypothesis conveyed by British civil servants - according to which the crash of the Russian plane had been caused by an on-board bomb, on the basis of the so-called ’interception’ of a conversation between leaders of the Islamic Emirate – is proved to be false.
The hypothesis of an attack by a missile, either ground-to-air or air-to-air, also collapses, since missile war-heads contain TNT, a substance which was not detected by the investigators. The hypothesis of an explosion in one of the motors must also be discarded, since the turbine blades were discovered to be intact.
The same is true for the theory of the explosion of one of the fuel tanks, since these are situated in the wings, and an explosion to the right or left would have detached the wing from the fuselage. But the wings fell to the ground intact, a few metres away from the anterior part of the fuselage, before catching fire. This fact indicates that they were not detached from the fuselage, and that there was no fire in the fuel tanks before contact with the ground.
Thus, the myth woven by the US television channel NBC, according to which the Pentagon declared that a US military satellite had detected, in the area and at the moment of the accident, a peak of heat and light, turns out to be a lie. Finally, at this point, the Islamic Emirate or any other terrorist organisation, is relieved of responsibility in the crash of the Russian Airbus A321 in the Sinaï,which, apparently, bothers the US and UK governments. Why?
Depressurisation in the plane remains one of the active hypotheses, but only as a result of the plane’s chaotic manœuvres, and not as a cause in itself. As I pointed out in a previous article [1], the repetitive pitching movements, with negative and positive overloads beyond anything normal for a passenger plane, are what led to the separation of the exterior panels, the twisting and dislocation of certain resistance elements in the plane’s basic structure (central girders, ribs, etc.) and rupture of the hydraulic pipes and hoses fixed to the exterior cladding. In the absence of hydraulic pressure, the plane’s crew can control neither depth nor direction. The abnormal noise, discovered during the analysis of the black box, probably indicates depressurisation, followed by the dislocation of some of the plane’s parts at an altitude of about 5,000 to 6,000 metres, as confirmed by the impact of large fragments of the plane over more than 2 kilometres in the direction of the flight.

What's left? The Directed-Energy/Laser weapon suggested here?
It is my opinion that the take-down of this Russian passenger plane was caused by the use of a Directed-Energy/Laser weapon, and possibly a Space-Borne one.

Continuing the debate on "who and why" is frivolous, when long-ago that conclusion became obvious.
Discovering how all these false-flag events are the result of advanced technology becomes conclusive regarding the "who-and-why".

The conclusion of the article posted (http://www.voltairenet.org/article189255.html) by Jean-Luc:
[...]Apart from the failure of the automatic pilot’s computer, due to material exhaustion, I have explained, in a previous article, that it is possible to take control of the A321 from the outside, by hacking into the automatic pilot’s software, either through a previously-installed programme, or via a ground-based transmission. By a strange « coincidence », from the first seconds that the plane’s chaotic manœuvres were noted, both the transponder and the radio ceased transmitting. The transponder would have indicated the plane’s flight parametres to the air traffic controllers and, via the on-board radio, the crew could have signaled the appearance of an emergency situation and described the plane’s behaviour.
However, what led to the dysfunction of the automatic pilot at that precise moment, only the investigating committee will be able to determine.

The testing facility above is located at a now-closed remote air base in the Glasgow Valley, Montana which is now owned by Boeing and is highly secured.
The general public knows this as EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) testing, but within the aerospace industry and the US gov it is known as HIRF (High-Intensity Radiated Field) testing.
The R&D and Certification Testing is performed by Boeing's ELECTROMAGNETICS TESTING SERVICES (Worldwide Deployment) with the main labs located at Boeing Field and Kent Space Center, WA.
HIRF testing is only one aspect of this R&D and Certification program. A few of the others are:
- Antenna and Radar Cross-Section Testing
- EMI/EMC (Electromagnetic Interference and Compatibility)
- Direct and Indirect Lightning Effects
- Radio Frequency and Infrared Material Properties

Chemical analysis has confirmed the presence of explosive residue in the wreckage, so there is essentially no doubt any more that it was a bomb that caused the plane to disintegrate and crash. I'm still a little puzzled why the media (at least, the considerable amount of media that I read) did not even speculate on the possibility of a bomb until a number of days after the crash. I suppose they were enjoying the 'bad Russian maintenance' line too much.

Russia Offers £33m Reward Over Jet Bombing
Sky News
Two employees at Sharm el Sheikh International Airport have been arrested by Egyptian authorities over the bombing of Metrojet Flight 9268, which Russia has confirmed was caused by an "act of terrorism".
Egyptian security officials say 17 people have been detained following the 31 October attack, which killed 224 people.
Only two are suspected of providing direct assistance to those who planted a bomb aboard the Russian airliner, which crashed in the Sinai Peninsula.
The arrests come after the Federal Security Service (FSB) confirmed it was treating the crash as a terror strike targeting Russian nationals.
US and British intelligence has long suggested the crash was caused by an act of terror, with a member of an investigation team saying they were "90% sure" that a noise heard on the black box was a bomb .
Russia has offered a $50m (£33m) reward for information which leads to the arrest of those responsible.
Alexander Bortnikov, the head of the FSB, spoke to President Vladimir Putin to reveal details of the Russian investigation into the crash.
"We have carried out investigations of the plane fragments and the luggage. We could find traces of a foreign-made explosive device, an improvised explosive device," he said.
"(An) equivalent of up to one 1.5kg of TNT went off during the flight. As a result the plane disintegrated in mid-air, which explains widely scattered fuselage pieces.
"I can therefore unequivocally say that this was an act of terrorism."
Mr Putin described the downing of the plane as a "barbarian" terror attack and "one of the bloodiest crimes" perpetrated on Russian citizens.
"The killing of our people in the Sinai Peninsula is one of the bloodiest crimes," he said.
"We are not going to wipe tears from our souls and our hearts. This will remain with us forever.
"But this will not prevent us from finding and punishing the criminals. We should be looking for them, no matter how much time passes.
"We need to know them by their names. We will find them, wherever they are, and we will punish them."
The Metrojet airliner crashed shortly after taking off from Egypt's Sharm el Sheikh International Airport. All 224 people aboard the Airbus A321 died.
Thousands of Britons were stuck in the popular holiday resort in the wake of the attack as the UK and several other countries suspended flights over security concerns.

As to the who and why, advanced technology is not always an option. If, say, you are trying to put the blame on a fabricated terrorist organization such as Isis, then you cannot have lone nut Arabs using advanced technology. The plane had to be brought down by a method available to the alleged perpetrators. People have wised up to the fact that you cannot bring planes down with boxcutters, leading to the suspicion that advanced technology was used. So, to avoid that, you have to have this more plausible explanation of a homemade bomb. This way you can keep a step ahead of people who have perhaps not yet realized that Isis does not exist as advertised any more than Al Qaida did. Yes Araucuria I agree.
The alarm bells would be ringing very loudly is it had been some weapon of such advanced technology that few even knew of it.
A simple home made bomb sets a picture of local extremists linked to, so called Islamic State.

Hope you are wrong of course---but you are making some sense, to me, of the whole thing.

From Military.com/AP: (http://www.military.com/daily-news/2015/11/17/russia-plane-brought-homemade-explosive-device.html?ESRC=eb.nl)
"According to our experts, a homemade explosive device equivalent to 1 kilogram of TNT went off onboard, which caused the plane to break up in the air, which explains why the fuselage was scattered over such a large territory. I can certainly say that this was a terrorist act," FSB head Alexander Bortnikov said.
Right. So how do you reconcile this?:
Even if a home-made 1.5kg bomb could be absolutely perfectly placed it still takes a certain amount of time for the plane to break up in mid air, time which would allow for some form of additional recording.
But then again, with stories constantly changing, who knows what the truth really is?
In the mean-time, watch this Lockheed Martin video of a ground based High Energy Laser destroying a Rocket (in 2012).
The explosion is caused by the heating of the rocket fuel to the point of ignition.

Bomb that downed Russian plane in Egypt placed in main cabin - report
MOSCOW (Reuters) - A bomb that downed a Russian plane in Egypt last month had been placed in the aircraft's main cabin not in the cargo compartment as reported earlier, the daily Kommersant said on Wednesday citing an unnamed source.
The newspaper, citing a source close to the investigation of the crash, said the epicentre of the explosion appeared to have been at the rear of the cabin near the tail section.
"According to a preliminary version, the bomb could have been laid under the passenger seat by the window. Its operation has led to the destruction of the frame and depressurisation of the cabin, which had an explosive character," the newspaper said.
All 224 people on board were killed. President Vladimir Putin vowed on Tuesday to hunt down those responsible and intensified air strikes against militants in Syria.

So a terrorist carrying a can of pop containing 1 to 1.5kg of TNT with wires and switches hanging out of it walked through security, sat down in a window seat placing the can under the seat and the wires and switch strung out to where he was holding it in his hand, while no-one sitting next to him or in the general vicinity noticed any of this taking place, and the 1 to 1.5kg TNT pop can bomb blew up the entire plane which instantaneously killed all engine (and electrical) power.
Wow, what a great story! It's even better than the box-cutter-carrying-terrorists that hijacked four planes on 9-11!

Egypt: Russian Jet 'Not Downed By Terrorists'
Egyptian officials say there is no evidence to believe the Russian jet which crashed in Sinai was brought down by terrorists.
A preliminary report on the disaster on 31 October, which killed all 224 people on board, said investigators had "so far not found anything indicating any illegal intervention or terrorist action".
Contrary to the initial findings of the Egyptian investigation into the plane crash, Russia believes the Metrojet was brought down by a bomb.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov declined to comment directly on the Egyptian statement, but told reporters in a conference call, "can I remind you of the conclusion of our experts from the special services, who came to the conclusion that it was a terrorist action."
Last month, a member of the air accident investigation team in Egypt said investigators were "90% sure" the noise heard on the black box of the airliner seconds before it crashed was caused by a bomb.
The US and Britain have also previously said an explosive device is likely to have brought down the aircraft.
A group affiliated to Islamic State has claimed responsibility for bringing down the Airbus 321-200, but has not provided any evidence to confirm it was behind the attack.
It claimed the bombing was in response to Russian airstrikes in Syria.
But Egypt's civil aviation ministry on Monday said it had so far found no evidence of a criminal act.
However, the statement by chief investigator Ayman el Muqadam, implied the investigating team had not reached its final conclusions as it was "continuing its work".
He said the search for wreckage extended more than 10 miles from the crash site - which investigators had visited 15 times.
Wreckage from the site is being moved to a safe location in Cairo to be further examined.
The aircraft's 38 computers, plus two engine computers have also been looked at, while details of any repairs to the jet since it was built in 1997 are being checked out.
Security at Sharm el Sheikh airport has become a widespread concern since the crash with the UK, Russia and various other countries suspending flights from the Red Sea resort.
British Airways and easyJet have cancelled all flights to and from Sharm el Sheikh until the New Year.
Monarch has extended the cancellation of flights to and from the UK to the airport up to and including January 24, 2016.
Aviation experts identified serious security flaws at the airport in the wake of the crash.
Problems including a malfunctioning key baggage scanning device, lax searches at an entry gate for plane food and fuel and bribe-taking by police officers were cited by officials.
Additional levels of baggage screening and searches were implemented on a short-term basis, and the British government has been working with Egyptian authorities on long-term sustainable measures to make the airport safe.
Tens of thousands of tourists were left stranded at the resort in the aftermath of the disaster with extra flights organised by airlines to get families home after the security alert.
Passengers described their experiences, including seeing security staff asleep and baggage checkers playing games on their phones.
Security staff were said to be "disinterested" and "liquids in the hand luggage were not even

The law enforcement agencies in Egypt and the Russian security services, during a joint investigation, determined the identity of several of the terrorists who were directly involved in preparation of a terrorist attack aboard a A321 in the skies over Sinai. As became known to LifeNews, the search consists of at least six people. Among them are the direct executer, who carried the explosives onto the plane.
Security officials have established that the explosive device on the A321 plane was carried on board by an employee of the airport of Sharm El-Sheikh, which had been in their possession for some time before it was planted on the plane. At the interview the offender immediately claimed the position of a porter, who was entrusted with the loading of passengers' luggage, with access to the airfield.
The bomb, placed in the baggage compartment, exploded at the height of about nine kilometers on board the Airbus 321. It should be noted that the explosive device had been placed in a bag, the IED was a small bundle of explosives of big capacity.
Immediately after he placed the bomb on the plane, the terrorist left his workplace and disappeared from the airport. After a short time the man went out of Egypt. As it became known to LifeNews, the last time his whereabouts was recorded was in Turkey. Intelligence agencies are searching for five of his accomplices.
As a reminder, the crash of the Airbus 321 from the airline "Kogalymavia" took place on October 31st in the Northern Sinai Peninsula. On board were 224 persons, of which 217 were passengers. More than 20 children were on the flight, the youngest of whom was ten months. No one from passengers and members of crew survived.
On the 17th November, the FSB identified that the cause of the crash of the Russian airliner in the Sinai was a terrorist attack.

The investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case on the terrorist act that occurred onboard the aircraft A321 "Kogalymavia", which killed 224 people. According to a Kommersant source in the security services, the traces of the organizers of this terrorist attack leads to a Turkish radical nationalist organization - "Grey wolves" - associated with the banned Islamic State.
The criminal case of the crash on 31st October 2015, involving the plane over the Sinai Peninsula, is now under investigation by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation as an act of terrorism (article 205 of the criminal code) and illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of explosives or explosive devices committed by an organized group (part 3, article 222.1), said the Deputy head of the National antiterrorism Committee (NAC) Yevgeny Ilyin. According to him, the investigation reclassified the case on these articles with violations of the rules of operation of air transport and the provision of services that do not meet the requirements of safety, entailed on imprudence death of two and more persons (article 263 and article 238 of the criminal code) for which it was originally conducted. The Committee has refrained from officially commenting, but has informally explained that article 205-I has been present for some time, but it was not made public for strategic reasons.
The version of the accident pertaining to terrorism was made in the middle of November last year, when the Director of the FSB, Alexander Bortnikov, reported to President Vladimir Putin that the experts found "traces of explosives of foreign production" on the personal belongings of passengers, luggage and the wreckage of the plane that crashed in Egypt. Later, according to "Kommersant", it was determined that the epicenter of the explosion was on the starboard side at the end of the cabin where the tail frame starts. The bomb was allegedly placed under the passenger seat by the window. The explosion led to the destruction of the frame and depressurization of the cabin, which had an explosive character.
The plane, which first separated at the tail, broke up in the air (its wreckage was found near the length of 13 km and a width of about 5 km), and the people who were onboard, were killed almost instantly from the sudden pressure drop.
Responsibility for the attack was claimed by the banned in Russia "Islamic State", who published a photo of a homemade bomb: Aluminum in the can of Schweppes 0.33l with 250-300 grams of plastic explosives. According to sources, most likely, it was C-4 (C-4), developed in the US in the mid 60's of the last century, and is now produced in many countries of the world.
It is assumed that the bomb in the plane was carried by someone of the staff of airport Sharm El-Sheikh and activated by an electronic timer. This person could be, for example, the cleaner or one of the workers carrying food onboard. This week, various media outlets, including foreign ones, reported the identification of participants in the attack and even the detention of one of them. It was alleged that a bomb in the airliner could have been planted by a technician from Egyptian EgyptAir, who immediately after the attack disappeared. However, later the Egyptian authorities and representatives of the company dismissed this information.
"It's one of those situations where the information in the media is not confirmed by the structures that organize the fight against terrorism," said Mr. Ilyin.
Meanwhile, in late December 2015, Mr Bortnikov said that his agency had an idea of what terrorist groups were behind the plane explosion, but he did not name them. In turn, a Kommersant's source said: the FSB believes that the explosion of the Russian airliner can be linked to the members of the Turkish radical nationalist organization "Grey wolves", who are associated with the "Islamic state" and acting in many other Arab countries, including Egypt.
In Turkey, the "wolves" appeared in the late 60's of the last century. The Creator of the organization is considered the head of the far-right Republican peasants ' national party, who converted in 1969 to the nationalist movement Party, Alparslan Turkes.
On account of the "wolves" — the shooting on the May day demonstration in Istanbul's Taksim square in 1977, when 42 people died; the massacre in Marash in 1978, where, across the space of a week, about a hundred Alawites were killed; the assassination attempt on Pope John Paul II on 13th May 1981, and other big projects. At one time the organization was prohibited, however, from the 90's of the last century, they resumed their activities in Turkey.
The "wolves", according to Russian intelligence services, participated in the fighting in Chechnya, organizing the transfer of weapons to the rebel Republic. And one of the leaders of the "Grey wolves", a 32-year-old Alparslan Çelik, took responsibility for the shooting in Syria, on 24th November last year, of the parachuting Russian pilot of the downed Russian aircraft Su-24.

The Russian airliner that crashed in Sinai in October 2015 was downed by terrorists to harm Egypt's tourism industry and ties with Russia, Egyptian President Abdel Fatah Sisi said Wednesday.
"Has terrorism ended? No it has not, but it will if we unite. Did the person behind the plane crash aim to hit just the [Egyptian] tourism industry? No, the intention was to harm relations with Russia, Italy and all other countries," Sisi said in his opening remarks at a Cairo conference.
The statement was the first confirmation by Egyptian authorities (http://sputniknews.com/middleeast/20151214/1031706997.html), saying that the Russian-operated A321 had been brought down by terrorists. Earlier, Egypt's authorities denied the reason for the crash was a terrorist attack. On October 31, a Russian-operated airliner carrying 224 people crashed in the Sinai Peninsula (http://sputniknews.com/middleeast/20160224/1035272068/sputniknews.com/trend/russian_a321_2015/) en route from the seaside resort of Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg. The crash has become the largest civil aviation disaster in Russian history.
Egypt's branch of Daesh (http://sputniknews.com/middleeast/20151118/1030358103.html) claimed responsibility for the crash, while the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB (http://sputniknews.com/world/20151224/1032253963.html)) said the cause of the crash was a terrorist attack and that an improvised explosive device had been placed on board the aircraft.
Since then, Russian flights to Egypt were suspended (http://sputniknews.com/russia/20151113/1030050030.html) on November 6 and then on November 14 flights of Egypt Air to Russia were also suspended.
