Mars Rover Photo Allegedly Shows Alien Chunk of Machinery

I was just made aware of this story, and have not investigated to determine its veracity in any way. Does anyone know how reliable "Paranormal Crucible" is? Has this photo been debunked already or at all? It appeared a few years back, but has recently been modified for clarity. (?) Here's the story as I have discovered it so far ...

Online alien and UFO hunters claim they have sighted a UFO drone in a photo of the Gale Crater region of Mars captured by a NASA Mars rover. According to the YouTube UFO hunter Paranormal Crucible, a photo of the Martian terrain snapped by a Mars rover — presumably Curiosity — on Sol 64 shows an object that looks like a metallic chunk of machinery dumped on the Martian surface.

Paranormal Crucible notes that the discovery was first made a few years back. But in a new set of photos uploaded to YouTube on November 1, 2015, the UFO hunter revisits the remarkable discovery that set the entire online UFO community buzzing with excitement when it was first discovered.

This time around, Paranormal Crucible attempts to “clean up the photo” by enhancing features of the alleged metallic object that could help UFO researchers gain fresh insights and “shed new light” into its nature and construction.

UFO Sightings Daily editor Scott Waring points out that the “cleaned up photo” gives a “new perspective” by enhancing features that give clues about what the object looked like when it was made, and what it was probably used for.

Yeah, I remember that pic from 2013. The cleaned up and "enhanced" one that they have recently posted seems almost too cleaned up, as though they have taken some liberties and filled in some areas that were really sketchy, to the point of non-existence. Still, the programs that have come on the market lately that can be used for such purposes are very powerful, so such new renderings may be possible.( ? )

I'd still like to know more about the credibility of this source, however.

Yup, the 'cleaned' up version is a complete and utter photo manipulated, misleading fake.
That aside, the original looks interesting.
