Jaguar Land Rover, owned by India's Tata Motors, has slumped to a £157m loss for the latest quarter after being rocked by the impact of a major port explosion in China as well as weaker sales in the country.

The British car maker took a £245m hit in the second quarter to the end of September from the Tianjin Port blast in August which affected 5,800 of its vehicles.
