Deliverance - A world without borders - a song by Yanni
This song just electrified my soul. The soaring vocals, the orchestra. Pure divine inspiration.

Hauntingly beautiful.
Experimental director, composer and playwright Jim Wilson recorded the sound of crickets and then slowed down the recording, revealing something so amazing. The crickets sound like they are singing the most angelic chorus in perfect harmony.

There are songs where the composer/lyricist seem to have tapped directly into the Cosmos.
As if they have sprung into our reality from an ultimately divine source.
This is one of those songs for me..
To you reading and listening to this,
from me with love
HFWKJ2FUiAQ
Song to the Siren
Long afloat on shipless oceans
I did all my best to smile
'Til your singing eyes and fingers
Drew me loving to your isle
And you sang
Sail to me
Sail to me
Let me enfold you
Here I am
Here I am
Waiting to hold you
Did I dream you dreamed about me?
Were you here when I was forced out
Now my foolish boat is leaning
Broken lovelorn on your rocks
For you sing, "Touch me not, touch me not, come back tomorrow
Oh my heart, Oh my heart shies from the sorrow"
Well I'm as puzzled as the newborn child
I'm as riddled as the tide
Should I stand amid the breakers?
Or should I lie with death, my bride?
Hear me sing, "Swim to me, swim to me, let me enfold you
Here I am, here I am, waiting to hold you"

a remarkable information, is that the composer lived on XV century and
create the polyphony, wich next ages allowed orchestras play symphonies.
This song its only an DUET of soprano and contralto voices, to show here
how much beautiful can be pure simple human voices, especially female

I apologize if this is not a proper thread for this. I did a brief search for threads on poetry but couldn't find anything - perhaps I should have started a thread entitled "Inspiring Poetry and Other Writing" or something like that. Anyway, please delete if this is not the right "Place". So, I very recently bumped into this beautiful poem on FB and thought this forum was a great place to share it :)
'In the light of the silent stars
that shine on the struggling sea,
In the weary cry of the wind and
the whisper of flower and tree,
Under the breath of laughter, deep in the tide of tears,
I hear the Loom of the Weaver that
weaves the Web of Years.
The leaves of the winter wither
and sink in the forest mould
To colour the flowers of April
with purple and white and gold:
Light and scent and music die
and are born again
In the heart of a grey-haired woman
who wakes in a world of pain.
The hound, the fawn, and the hawk,
and the doves that croon and coo,
We are all one woof of the weaving and
the one warp threads us through,
One flying cloud on the shuttle that
carries our hopes and fears
As it goes thro’ the Loom of the Weaver
that weaves the Web of Years.
The green uncrumpling fern and the rustling dewdrenched rose
Pass with our hearts to the Silence
where the wings of music close,
Pass and pass to the Timeless
that never a moment mars,
Pass and pass to the Darkness
that made the suns and stars.
Has the soul gone out in the Darkness?
Is the dust sealed from sight?
Ah, hush, for the woof of the ages
returns thro’ the warp of the night!
Never that shuttle loses one thread
of our hopes and fears,
As it comes thro’ the Loom of the Weaver
that weaves the Web of Years.
O, woven in one wide Loom thro’
the throbbing weft of the whole,
One in spirit and flesh, one in body and soul,
Tho’ the leaf were alone in its falling,
the bird in its hour to die,
The heart in its muffled anguish,
the sea in its mournful cry,
One with the flower of a day,
one with the withered moon
One with the granite mountains
that melt into the noon
One with the dream that triumphs beyond
the light of the spheres,
We come from the Loom of the Weaver
that weaves the Web of Years.

When I first heard this I was so entranced and overwhelmed, that all I could do was to lie in bliss with my eyes closed.
And, of course, I had to buy the full album: a gift for the soul.

I was having a conversation and it was suggested I post the song here. Another version is posted in the Aurora thread but this one's performed in the outdoors in Norway. The song came to mind because of the sometimes shallow lives we live.
Let us see, is this real,
This life I am living?
You, gods, who dwell everywhere,
Let us see, is this real,
This life I am living?
~ Pawnee Dream Song
The Norwegian group Wardruna singing Helvegan with Aurora comes to mind. Some of the comments are facinating. Some are writing that this is the first time they have heard REAL music, REAL singing.
"Powerful".
"Haunting and beautiful".
"A cry from ancient spirits begging today's generation to remember who they are".
"I have listen to this song many times but this version really brought me into deep thought. How we lived as humans in ancient times and how we live now."
Just had to come back and add this one :hand:
"I can feel my beard grow as I listen to this."
A revealing commentary on real music and what passes as music today.

...Well I came upon
The enchanted vale!
Down by the viaducts of my dreams...
Down by Camelot, hangs the tale
In the ancient vale..

There the cup does stand
Down by Avalon.. The Grail
My sweet avalon of my heart..
Gonna make a brand new start..
my sweet Avalon.

Heartbreaking and breathtaking at the same time....
"On the roller coaster ride
That my emotions have to take me on
I heard a newborn baby cry
Through the night
[Verse 1]
I heard a perfect echo die
Into an anonymous wall
Of digital sound
Somewhere deep inside
Of my soul
[Chorus]
A natural beauty should be preserved
Like a monument to nature
Don't judge yourself too harsh
My love
Or someday you might find
Your soul endangered
A natural beauty should be preserved
Like a monument to nature
[Verse 2]
Amazon
You had so much
And now so much is gone
What are you going to do
With your life?
What a lucky man
To see the earth
Before it touched his hand
What an angry fool
To condemn
One more night to go
One more sleep
Upon your burning banks
A greedy man never knows
What he's done
[Chorus]
A natural beauty should be preserved
Like a monument to nature
Don't judge yourself too harsh
My love
Or someday you might find
Your soul endangered
A natural beauty should be preserved
Like a monument to nature
[Verse 3]
Went to the rodeo today
I saw the cowgirls
Lined up on the fence
A brand new Chevrolet
A brand new pair of seamless pants
We watched the moment of defeat
Played back over on the video screen
Somewhere deep inside
Of my soul
[Outro]
A natural beauty should be preserved
Like a monument to nature"

This song.. OH!
It could be a song about the love a son feels for his father but also could be about the love of the Son for His Father or, the Father for the Son.
Either way, to me it pours benediction, grace, blessing, unconditional love.
Deeply, deeply moving....
ChcR2gKt5WM
I thought sooner or later, the lights up above
Will come down in circles and guide me to love
But I don't know what’s right for me, I cannot see straight
I've been here too long and I don't want to wait for it
Fly like a cannonball, straight to my soul
Tear me to pieces and make me feel whole
I’m willing to fight for it and carry this weight
But with every step, I keep questioning what is true
Fall on me
With open arms
Fall on me
From where you are
Fall on me
With all your light
With all your light
With all your light
Fall on me
Ascoltami
Fall on me
Abbracciami
Fall on me
Finché vorrai
Finché vorrai
Finché vorrai
Finché vorrai
I close my eyes and I'm seeing you everywhere
I step outside, it's like I'm breathing you in the air
I can feel you're there
Fall on me
Ascoltami
Fall on me
Abbracciami
Fall on me
With all your light
With all your light
With all your light

The only art of freedom is not in compromise or stake to find it, but on the contrary in assuming responsibility for the authenticity of its existence in us through peace, tranquility, joy, happiness and the sovereignty to decide that no one can take our freedom to "be".
A video that "electrifies" me enough to say that people are really amazing in their joy.

And the beauty of nature that gives the moment, life and gratitude, which blesses in terms of "Mother" the totality of all things and the equivalent emergence of our soul.
