This is an incredibly inspiring little video about a couple who decide to make a life-style change and move to Costa Rica. They both had busy lives as chiropractors but it was stressful and they were not enjoying their lives.

They made a leap of faith, sold everything up and went Costa Rica.

It started them on a journey that was better than they could have ever imagined.

don,t you think the title is suggestive that billionaires are happy. Far be it I saw people with almost nothing and happier than people with almost everything. Just look at the faces you'll know the hapies and the nots

Ulli seems to live in Paradise! And also Costa Rica is the only country without and army, right! Wonder if she will get in touch with these pple?

And bubu Hmm, didn't make that connection at first but supposedly not seriously meant, more of a "pun" since they clearly state they were unhappy in spite of their successful caréers and money...

In 2004, I walked away from the American dream or more to the point, I awoke from the American dream. My goal was to plop down enough cash for a low to no mortgage place. I realized that I’d never be free with taxes and up keep. I’d be a slave to a house rather than live freely in a home.

While saving, I learned that I didn’t need much to live. Most spending had to do with stress purchases, eating out, cars that racked up too many miles, professional expenses and wardrobe.

It’s been eleven years. I live a small life to many because they don’t see what I see. I still feel gratitude like I did the first day I walked away. Job security and a decent salary are nothing compared to the immeasurable surprises and freedom I live each day.

Why don't you come and stay with us for a couple of weeks?
$40 a day, includes free wi-fi, breakfast, cable TV, use of our hot tub.
Nearby thermal pools, at $4 a visit.
We live in the mountains, but it's only two hours drive to the beach.
AND... we own a beach house at Punta Leona (google:" hotel Punta Leona") which is always empty because we are too busy with our garden project.
There is a Suzuki Grand Vitara which we can rent out as well
The airport trip costs extra, because of the distance. $50 each way with a local driver, unless you want to fork out $70 for a taxi.
We live in the Orosi Valley, district of Cartago, and are happier than billionaires.

Great! Following the heart despite practical difficulties will always be rewarded, amazing synchronicities do come a long eventually, I testify!!!!

Ditto!

But I don't have any price structures, just a spare room & a lot of horses.

There isn't anywhere you could drive that's 2 hours away (the furthest beach from us is about a 40 min drive, the closest about a 10 min walk).

We live and work on a rescue "farm" (https://www.youtube.com/user/CruzanCowgirls), I've never been a billionaire, but I'm pretty damn happy in the permanent summer; slower life style and only slight "echo's" of the US.

It takes real commitment to grind your self away in the "rat race" of the US... after a while I think everyone stops and takes stock; wonders if it's all worth it (it's not!).
