Again, you are leaving us hungry for more! :) Looking forward to part 2.

Perception is the core concept in th Don Juan Matus philosophy. The Toltec way is a philosophy of non patterning and mastering perception.

Mastering perception for a whole and fulfilling life!! Always walk a different path when you travel. Walking the same path invites a flawed perception, and limits your experience.. (for example)

How one interprets the light they receive is perception,, on a physical and nonphysical platform... :)

Anyones percetion is based on illusion because this entire world we live in is an illusion and each individuals life experience is simply their unique perception of the illusion we are all part of, even my own view is only a perception as is yours.

We are all the jigsaw pieces and it is only when we come together that we can see the full picture but until we do we can only rely on what we can identify to be true for ourselves, which in essence is only the truth that you know because you cannot speculate about what is true for another.
That would be trying to find a triangle shape into a square, it might go but it wouldn't be the wisest choice because they will never feel completely comfortable and you are likely to put off someone who needs to awaken in their own time, which is a dangerous thing to do and serves only to feed those people back into the negative system.
It is only when an individual is able to look behind the trees and rocks that have formed their existence that they will begin to see get an idea of what their truth is and then be able to get an idea of what truth actually tastes like.

The answer to this disillusioned perception, since we all part of it until we can come together, is to break things down very simply

The only truth that really matters is that we are all here to learn and spread unconditional love because that is the only thing that will counter the negative energy in this universe. It used to be that love was enough until someone decided that love should come with conditions and whoever that someone is, needs unconditonal love as much as anyone else because there is no blame, just a collective responsibility to rise above the reasons to stay with conditions for loving others, because that only feeds the lamb that lives in the field where the negative energy wolf lives and so you only serve to fatten the one we don't want.

When we can unconditionally love another we send that same energy back onto ourselves but this journey it is a very complex, personal and dark thing to venture out on. We must show that we have become enlightened through our journey with this discovery so that others feel confident enough to do the same

And like a domino or 100th monkey effect we have achieved world peace because you cannot achieve peace whilst there are still conditions to love somebody, it is the underlying reason for why the world is like it is!

What we see is limited because we use physical eyes. Rudolf Steiner in one of his lectures on ancient Egypt (avalible on amazon) mentioned that before we formed physical organs of seeing we were using 3rd eye to access needed information. Thus we didn't rely on physical light to see. He presented fascinating information on how our form came to being. Basically - We didn't start from physical but slowly worked our way into it.

Antoher great description of reality can be found in Castaneda books. I have read all 10 of the main series and i think it's one of the best reads avalible.

There are many reports from people who can shift to spiritual sight that they can see people as balls of light. Castaneda said that in this ball we have a certain point which connects every used aspect of our being. When we percive other things, we connect a part of our field to the field of the other being. We connect to the image we can access. And what we can access is limited by position of our inner point. The same applies to other beings. There are parts we can't access - for exaple when another being is way more developed then we (f.e. Earth). In the past our field, the ball of light, was of different shape. Thus we could connect differently. Position of this point is crucial. Castaneda described how moving this point into different directions may be cause of. f.e shapesifting. It's like an ocean of possibilities. We just have to learn how to use them.
There is a lot more in the books, but he describes it so well i won't even attempt to write more as it could be watering down of imparted knowledge.

Here is a short quote from my post on other forum about it (and it certainly matches my experiences.):

"Thank you. Looking inside is important to some extent. After that we see how our "insides" connect us to energy fields of other beings resulting in our ability to interact with the reality as we percive it. For example: Earth has many points in her field that we are not able to acess (unknowable), there are some we can acess as we develop or unblock our energy circuits (unknown) and of course the aspects that we see and connect normaly. After all it is the same energy. Just different uses and complexity of structures.

btw. When we do any kind of inner work like meditation we allow our inner point to loosen a bit and connect to different parts of energy fields around (we move it internally so our perceptions of outer align to it). This comes about after a lot of practice and this is why we can then experience other levels. Poor are some who switched it for good or are born with diffrently set point (probably most cases of schizophrenia). Minor shifts occur daily. Minor differences influence our attitudes. But naturally we should be able to move it around. We got stuck in one area because someone planned it. And all the magik comes down to fields... "

And what causes hallucination after taking drugs? Everything can be traced back to the main cause which for now would be the shifts of our inner point in the energy field of our being. This surely can be influenced by other beings as you probably know very well.
Though i have read that when they see that we can conciously manipulate this point, they give up. Because there is nobody to be scared/fooled anymore.

Also, i agree with the new age thing. We know unconditional love is needed! Now apply it, spread it and move on to exploring details and wider/tangible truths.

Omnivores,

Beliefs divide people. One mechanic of the perception is to demonize people who contradict one's belief system. This is also shameful and to be avoided. Such a shameful practice can also limit your own capabilities.

I find your posting most agreeable to my world view, universe view. I have spent years slowly peeling away the layers of the onion that was the core belief system (BS) inherited from my parents and the learning environment that that enveloped while I developed. Obviously, I am still enveloped within a learning environment yet I have learned some tricks to protect my, now very small, core BS from denigrating and divisive concepts that will invade my thoughts. Whenever I mutter the phrase 'I believe' a learned red flag pops up in my mind. Do I really? Is this belief a worthy part of my BS? Should it be examined and possibly purged? The hierarchy of concepts in my BS is 1) Suspicions of truth, (2) Candidate concepts, (3) Currently proven truisms, and (4) Core beliefs. I try to be open to others as concepts to be considered.

I am aware that still some of my core beliefs are normally invisible to me and will pop up unexpectedly. Also any proven truism may be subject to re-examination and removal. Furthermore, many of my behaviours are not supported by my own BS. I am a fallible human.

To believe is to accept without proof, or even any hard evidence - to accept on faith alone. Most people need to work on their vocabulary regarding BS. I have alienated some because I wrote "I do not believe in reincarnation because I know it to be real."

I agree, MaidenMoonshineGrace. I also am fairly sure that we must learn unconditional love for the most despicable humans. Perhaps they are on this Earth to provide us a lesson in love. This lesson can be very difficult for me to complete. BTW, in my opinion, unconditional love does not mean acceptance of their despicable actions.

This world can definitely be considered illusion (martrix) for I have had direct experience of what can happen when you doubt it, (the experience on this plane), I'll get back to that.

This world is real in so far as your belief system is invested in it. I suspect the first 6-18 mths of life is very different to what begins to follow. Awakening into conciousness, in what we refer to as a 3d world, requires that we learn how to operate within our bodies and within our enviroment. (Note that there was something there before you learnt a damn thing, hold onto that for you will find there is still something there after you finally admit you don't know a damn thing. :D ).
I further suspect the first time you see your own hand you have no idea that that is your hand. Our parents, or carers, help us adjust to our new enviroment and we learn. I think the majority of Avalonians never stop learning and it is that which allows us to keep questioning and leads us to an event horizon. (One of many, probably).

Beyond our individual worlds there is a collective world, that is what we jointly believe - we are literally all connected. Now that collective belief is powerful, reinforced by so many, and when an individual starts to question reality their struggles can seem monumental and ultimately futile. For even if we tell ourselves the world is illusion and try to convince ourselves we believe that, it is a new belief. You have the length of your lives previous beliefs and a massive collective belief to overcome and the world will keep spinning around you every time you open your eyes in the morning. This is where your perseverance is required, it can take a long time to get past this stage. (I know, I'm still waiting :) ). Oh, and faith can move mountains.

I think there is a great deal of merit in Rupert Sheldrakes 'Morphogenic Fields' (sp?) theory to back this up.

Zen and ACIM, to name but two methods, contain shortcuts and/or reinforcements to help you shorten this path and overcome your core clinging to the 'known'. The known on this plane is not TRUE, but it is true - dependant on how much of yourself is invested in it.

My personal experience happened thiteen years ago now, and I'm not sure I'm a step closer to shedding any density, but it certainly 'woke me up' to confirm the illusion. Experiences such as mine, I'm sure many of you have had similar, are beyond the ability of language to express. We have experienced something beyond the limits of this 3d world, so like the hero who found his way out of the cave and returned to tell of what he had seen he finds no-one can understand him. (I am not being so arrogant as to suggest I got out of the cave, more likely I just managed to turn my head far enough to glimpse the light at the caves entrance).

A side thought occurs to me, I doubt there is one of us can loosen the shackles without a great deal of suffering, (for that is how it is perceived at the time). There will come a time when you will view it an entirely different light, perhaps even be thankful for it

The walls of the paradigm are trembling which is further proof of a general uplifting of humanities conciousness level. The hundredth monkey approaches.

Lastly, I do not speak from knowledge (other than personal which is subject to total revision), I'm just sharing my thoughts.

I hear you brother. And a word popped into my head as I read your post. Shikasta. Doris Lessing has much to share in her books about Shikasta, if she wasn't approaching enlightenment herself she was getting a great deal of ideas from someone who was, and that someone also knew a great deal of the history of this planet.

“I think there's a very strong Calvinistic bias against a free lunch. The idea that you could achieve a spiritual insight without suffering, soul-searching, flagellation, and that sort of thing, is abhorrent to people because they believe that the vision of these higher dimensions should be vouchsafed to the good, and probably to them only after death. It is alarming to people to think that they could take a substance like psilocybin or DMT and have these kinds of experiences.”
― Terence McKenna, The Archaic Revival

I don't want to say that such substances are good for you, because they aren't. But there is one thing they do very well and that is loosening the inner point i described earlier. Many people in India went on this path of smoking drugs and found themselves walking in circles, not finding the greater picture (some are called ganja sadhus).
Still, it's an effective shortcut on shamanic path.

Other thing i find interesting is that some people who experienced above normal phenomenon tend to stop seeking outwardly and the result often is that they are a bit confused because what they talk about could be more understandable should they read a few more books and try to connect the dots with existing writings.

The main thing is to want to advance in knowledge and not accept occurences as beyond our understanding.

About the inner point, even if it is a kind of abstraction. I still think it's a useful one and matches all of my experiences. Like when we use a computer, we don't need to know how things happen. The same goes with life-force control excrecises. You don't conciously know exact neurons to fire to move your hand. This is also true with life currents in our bodies, we can train ourselves to control them or let them be pre-programed and often runing bad circuits. Even there we confront with some abstraction. F.e. The sushuma nadi is build of 20 layers. We don't need to imagine them all (at least when we are starting), it's enough to know where to send the energy.

From my perspective belief systems are programs and are indeed synthetic. Attunement to absolute truth helps replace faulty systems.

Calibration of soul to spirit, or part to whole, if you will. (Through surrender, or alignment with Divine Will)

Consciously selected beliefs or programs that are in tune with the Universe can be beneficial. Experimentation with consciousness and the resulting experiences or conditions are helping us to become conscious creators.

My life is changing as a result of using these techniques. Also, what is emerging are applications of unconditional love. Bye bye old ways; hello new world!

Love,
MM
Ps. I like what you said, Omniverse.

Excellent thread. In my training and experience our personalities are where our beliefs are formed. They get to form the 'box' we live in. If we don't work at transcending that 'box' our perceptions are always corrupted/coloured by it. When we do manage to 'see/experience' the consciousness without the personality and its opinions, we have a clear mindedness, a euphoria that unlimits our perceptions. Then, whatever we put before ourselves, in the frontal lobe of our brain, we will manifest, for good or ill, it makes no judgement because it's beyond the duality of the three Dee plane.
