A couple of nights ago I was out in my backyard at about 2 A.M. I was checking out the sky because I couldn't sleep. It was very cloudy out, but they were those big thick puffy white clouds, Behind them, I could see the sky. It was very clear and dark dark blue. So when the clouds would open up enough, I could see the stars and the moon very clearly.

It was gorgeous! I was loving it. Then the moon was visible, so I gazed it for a few minutes, watching a wispy cloud move in front of it. Then I noticed a really cool red ring forming around the moon. It was the same color that appears on the moon during a lunar eclipse, or that blood moon color. Anyhow, some of the ring became distorted as a bigger cloud came to engulf the moon. So that only the top half of the ring remained. As it did this, I saw a beautiful clear, and bright, full spectrum rainbow!
It was one of the most glorious things I have even seen. It was picture perfect, I wish I had my phone on me at that moment but, sadly I didn't.

This is the 3rd rainbow that I've seen this year. The first one was that red color and very dark, I saw this one in my front yard. The second was in my backyard and was very beautiful and vibrant. I could see all of the colors and it looked like it was just falling right out of a cloud in front of me.

I just thought I would share my rainbow sightings with everyone. I thought it was odd that I was seeing so many.
I feel that they are a sign of the vibrational and energetic shifts that are occurring on our planet. As well as a sign that my own personal development is effecting the world around me. The more loving I am and the more I work on myself, the easier and more beautiful my life is getting.

I feel that the Earth feels this. I think that we are really more connected to the Earth than most people are willing to believe at this time.
The Earth speaks to me all the time. I get animals sending me messages, by just showing up around me. I am talking with her all the time. You do it too. We all do. It's time to start listening.

I know I sound all hippie and into Native American stuff or something, but come on.
Tell me you don't notice these things. Tell me that this world is dead.
Rather, prove it to me! :hippie:

I've been talking to mother (earth) all the time now. I started a garden 6 months ago and I will be outside thanking her for helping with my vegetables. I often get butterflies and hummingbirds fly next to me. I hear the birds singing. Maybe I never noticed these things before. I feel like she's answering me back. I guess I'm feeling her energy more. I'm feeling a closer connection to her. It's nice;)

Completely OT, but you're aware that this sentence wouldn't have made any sense, let's say, twenty years ago?!?:biggrin1: SCNR

I've seen a rainbow over the moon and it extended to the moon's equator here in Kona Hawaii. I've also seen partial rainbows over the moon at Whidbey Island WA state . I just assumed it was a function of the mists in the air and never connected them to anything happening on the moon.

I have seen this.

It's not "exactly" a rainbow; when rain does this to the sun's rays, it appears in the opposite part of the sky.

The moon one appeared to be caused by the ice crystals of thin clouds, and the few times I saw it, was never a complete ring, but just sections of a spectrum, I guess where there was enough ice to make it work.

Quite many times , back in Dharamsala . We get plenty of wonderful sightings and natural sky phenomena ( should say 'atmospheric phenomena' but does it matter ) up there , rainbow halos around the Moon too.

I don't have good camera though except the one in my iPhone ( 8 mpx ) which is excellent for daytime snaps but iPhone cameras are mostly useless when it comes to night sky .

The bad thing about it is that if ET comes at night with light so bright the phone camera would hardly take in details ( that's serious problem  )

Example of bad photo : http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll256/PaldenLhamo/IMG_0345_zpskb2jrlcp.jpg (http://s290.photobucket.com/user/PaldenLhamo/media/IMG_0345_zpskb2jrlcp.jpg.html)

There was huge rainbow halo around the Moon ( Nov 22 2015 ) actually, you can see piece of the bow in the bottom part but it's not how it looked to naked eyes and the phone cam would get almost nothing out of it .

ET makes fun of himself and walks out ..

I have never seen a moon rainbow. However I spend much time outside just watching the beauty of nature and appreciating it....and smelling it. From a clean horse to freshly turned earth. Everything has a smell. I can walk in the dark and tell exactly where I am on my ranch by the smell.

I've never seen a Moon rainbow, but it looks extraordinarily magnificent.:flower:

I saw this year, three times a Halo around the Moon, it looked incredibly close, as if the sky had gone down, and the circle around the moon held the intense colors maximum 1 minute, the color palette was like a misty rainbow, a beautiful phenomenon for a beautiful, hopefully healthy sky.
Something similar, but brighter colored:
