ok - just kidding... anyway, reality tells me odds are real low a short, fat and one-eyed "gringo" (me) would have any shot at pulling it off.... pretending to be a guru so he can get laid.

On a serious note, this has actually happened a great deal over time and I am aware of certain instances this same thing has happened in the "alt community" crowd - one case (where the cult leader has been out in the open about it - JLL) performs some sort of sex magic "war on the psychopaths" which has been the reason to justify it all.

My opinion... and it is all and only... and yes, no one asked me - is that its probably highly motivated by the central figure's enjoyment of simultaneous sex between many women and himself.

Perhaps if he went the road of Baba Dez (http://babadez.com/) he could be perceived in a different light.
