Dear Humanity,
You are the midwives for a miraculous birth, and caretakers for the life upon this earth. Your descendants will one day see this moment in time as the precipice where a choice had to be made, one simple choice that would either propel humanity forward or mark it for all time with a shame so great that it will not be erased by time. Send your sight towards the horizon, beyond the confines of the moment and see the future as it could be. As we have evolved as a s...pecies so shall more follow in those same footprints and it cannot be discounted that there is more life to which may evolve from this planet. We search the cosmos for even the faintest hints of life, and yet we destroy the abundance we have before us. This life which we so casually disregard may be our neighbors in the future, new races and species of intelligent life our world has yet to conceive. The evolved descendants of that tree frog in the rainforest, disappearing from the future because here and now in this moment there is a lumber company destroying its home, so you can buy a ream of paper. We have the future, quite literally in our hands, and it is up to us to either be those who usher in the next stage of evolution for our world, or to be the harbingers of death for this same world. Will the generations of the future look back at this moment at their ancestors and see a people divided by personal ambition and so consumed with the petty things in life that they didn't see the damage they were causing, or will they see a people who came together and rose above their petty differences for a common goal to preserve life and the integrity of the world that had given so much, and how for the first time in history the life that had been birthed from this rock in the void of space gave back to that which they were conceived from. Treating the future like a masterpiece for the sculpting, and ushering in the true dawn of mankind.
Do not be afraid to have a voice, for yourself and for those who do not have one at all.
