UN Chief General stepping down in 2016 and the replacement is?

Was wondering if there is any information about UN Chief Ban Ki-moon stepping down this December? A bigger rumor is that Obama wishes to step into that position, and if so it seems that there hasn't been any mainstream media coverage about this.
