Maybe because she is a human being with an extraordinary ability to awaken deep spiritual feelings within millions of other people? And she has used this very rare talent in a way that is honest and pure and without guile. She is a wonderful person who has had a tough climb to get where she is and who has given huge amounts of money and time to help those who are less able to look after themselves. She is not a plain media icon, you see: she is someone who is idolized by millions because they have been touched by her singing, which comes from a huge and sensitive heart, and she is the one suffering right now. That's why.

Since when does responding to the sorrows of one person demean the suffering of anyone else? Feel free to go and pray for all the other anonymous millions of downcast humans you apparently know and would prefer to help. Given your churlish state of mind, though, I'd bet that your pleas will create few positive ripples on the face of the universe.

because she is a human, period, no judgment, as compassion goes for everyone of us.

because she has more discipline than 99% of us.

because she is more exposed than 99% of us to the emotional dirt we are pitching on her - and she may not know how to clean up yet.

And yes, she walks the material path, with obscene revenues, yet, she is not amongst the darkest ones - definitely not a Bush or a Clinton or a Rockerfeller, she is rather amongst the unprotected ones, spiritually speaking.
