A little known event known as the Occupation of Japan occurred in 1945, 3 weeks after the United States nuked japan into oblivion.
What was the real reason for this occupation? I haven't really found any good leads. Any information is appreciated.

To remold them to fit in to the NWO.

Yep Ioneo, too infiltrate and impregnate them with the desired control devices. To continue observation from the inside so as to tag any of the wrong functions/people.

Negotiation and survey of the bases that we STILL have there.
once we PWN a country, we never leave it (technically we are still "occupying").

I see, I see. Makes sense. Japan is also close to Russia so maybe in an event of a war with Russia, America could use japan as a meat shield?

well originally we needed the island to launch attacks from, but now our planes can be launched from anywhere on the globe and reach their targets; so it's less strategically important in "modern" times. Though it is still important as a resupply point, good logistics are the key to a functional military.
