View Full Version : Facebook & viruses

I have just had the unnerving experience of Facebook blocking certain posts or links that I try to to send to my page. . . the flag says that there is possibly a virus on my browser. However. . .if there was a virus on my browser, how is it that I am allowed to post various OTHER links?? In particular, I am able to post Spanish links (perhaps their algorithm does not read Spanish??) but not the English versions.

I have lodged various quite loud (!) complaints, but nothing has changed. . if my browser has a virus (which I doubt, as I have done 2 scans today & no virus was found) why are links to certain sites only, allowed? I feel I am under some sort of attack (I know, it sounds so naff!). . has anyone else experienced this?

Kirolak,
If you pm Paul or Ille they might be able to tell you what's up, couldn't hurt to try.

I agree, bt I use it for activism purposes ONLY & as I have nearly 4000 "friends", the message is being spread. . . :)

PS I don't want to be a pest by pming anyone about it, but maybe they will notice this thread. . ? ::sun:

Had the same thing happen to me about a month ago. I let the scan happen, and once it completed, I was able to get back in, hasn't bothered me since.

BUT, I was soooo pissed off, and insulted, their McAfee scan found NOTHING!

P.S.: Activism on FB, same reason for me. Maybe I can friend you there?
