Charlie Chaplin in the Great Dictator - What an amazing speech, and a fantastic voice. I didnt even know he had any talking parts. The film was made in 1939 and released in 1940 (before the states entered the war) He clearly had a vision and saw the evil well before most people. I am guessing he was taking the p*** with the mo. and uniform. Also strangely he doesnt blink and looks like hes reading from que cards. All that aside, it does show how nothing changes - how far have we really come as a species???

Apparently Hoover used this to justify his accusation of him being a communist. He was denied re-entry back into the states after a trip to Europe in 1952. I also read somewhere that he stood up to the PTB and that made him target.
