View Full Version : What most people believe that is false...

I don't usually post so much, sorry. Guess that's what happens when I actually get a rare day off from work! ;) Sit around contemplating the universe and posting on Project Avalon! Lol.
I posted in a thread recently about former CIA director William Casey essentially saying 'We will have achieved our purpose when everything the American people believe is false.' I would say this has been brilliantly achieved, mostly in America but in a large extent the whole world because the flow of information is controlled world wide. So I had this idea to make a list of things that a vast majority of people believe to be true but that are actually false.
I'll list some potentials and then wanted to see what ideas some of you had. Maybe it's silly but give it a try. The only rule is that you have to assume that, say, 95% of your typical average people would answer "True" to your statement when in fact the right answer is "False."
You may or may not agree with all of mine and before you get pissed off at me over a couple of them please know, hey, some I'm not sure but included for fun and I could be wrong about others and feel free to point it out and offer your own. Yes, I know my statements are heavily tilted toward American history and issues (sorry) so I'd welcome some examples from other countries, especially any that would be known outside your country (world wide perhaps). I'm sure I've missed many!

I think that one could safely say that whatever the mainstream media or consensus reality states is true or good is probably really false or not so good

Interesting thread.....
I have many "I do not know the answer" being numbers 5, 8, 12, 14, 15, 18, 23, 28, 29
And TRUE are 20 (Titanic, it sank right?) and 29 (USA is not a country? In that case I shall visit without a travel visa)
All the rest is false (but what do I know?)

The questions are badly worded.
#1, for example.
1) Humans either evolved from primates or were manifested by God. T or F
Darwin said that apes and humans had a common ancestor, not that humans evolved FROM primates.
Humans ARE primates.
Meh.

I believe all 31 are false... humans have been decieved on many levels, Immanuel was never called Jesus, matter of fact the same spirit is fought over for eons , evil men corrupted teachings to control the world. .. Immanuel and Muhammed, Elijah Jeremiah Isaiah all the same spirit in different bodies over many epochs... the government knew about the pearl Harbor attacks, the 911 attacks , the CIA killed JFK , I could go on but you get my drift ...

I can say all but three (18,20,21) are patently false. That is to say, I know all but three are patently false. (Although, just to be clear--while humans did not evolve from primates, I think it's fair to say EVERYTHING manifests from God...#1 is not an either/or question, in my estimation)
That doesn't mean, however, I am asserting 18,20,21 are patently true... it is simply to say I am ignorant on the subjects in question and do not know for sure. (I will say I'm pretty sure the Titanic sank--again, I could be wrong--but I think it likely didn't sink per the popular narrative).
Regardless of the various answers and explanations of the answers to these questions, it's interesting to observe how one comes to understand how they "know" something. Just ask, e.g., "how do you know Pearl Harbor was a surprise attack?" Most common answer, "because if it wasn't a surprise, why wouldn't they be ready and prepared for it?"
In short, people assume they "know" something by applying sound logic based on their unsound paradigm of understanding the world. Logic breaks completely down given the true dynamic of events. In order to truly "know" something, you have to first suspend everything you "think you know".

OK. I'll bight. I can call False all the statements except for 18, 20, and 21. I simply do not know about them. Also, I suspect that many of the Apollo moon pix were taken on the moon and many were not. Particularly the Apollo 11 shots were faked. I think that is why Armstrong never spoke much in public. Anything he could say about the moon shot would have to be a lie, and he didn't wish to lie. I am not sure about the Titanic sinking, but it was a fairly good movie.
Question #1 is complex because humans DO exist, and whatever the history and means of our existence can be claimed as an act of God.

Yes, some are. It was done quickly just as an exercise. My wife and I had a long debate about #1 and our difference of opinion was how it was worded.
I was hoping for more examples from others but oh well. Everyone's entitled a dud thread I guess. :)

Good thread, and an interesting topic. Personally, I would answer false to the following entries on the list.
#4 (TRUE – to some extent)
Oswald definitely had a hand to play in the assassination, as evidenced by the obvious patsy he was, and by being permanently silenced. I believe he fired at least one shot from the school book depository building. But I do not believe he was the only ‘spook’ present, nor held the only gun pointing at the president’s head that day.
#15 (TRUE – to some extent)
Owing to having witnessed several pot smokers (acquaintances and indeed friends) decline over the years to a scatty and permanently forgetful state, I would class marijuana (as a soft drug, smoked in a joint) at best an irritant to the human body, at worse an outright poison.
#16 (TRUE, obviously!)
Amend ‘global warming’ to climate change. And amend the ‘inferred human cause’ (it’s not simply CO2 emissions). Something is definitely happening with the weather. Who would deny it? And a human factor is behind it. There is a great deal of evidence to suggest a deliberate, nefarious, and secret weather modification program (HAARP etc) is in place, for reasons unknown.
#18 (TRUE – to some extent)
Not a hollow Earth, but I believe the crust is riddled with large hollow spaces and tunnels.
#20 (TRUE)
I believe it was the Titanic that sank, as this is where the evidence points (recent thread about this here (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?88679-The-Wreck-of-the-TITAN-)).
Perhaps some additions…?
32) The Queen of England (the Royal Family and all blue-bloods) are merely a benign throwback of an old fashioned aristocracy, are of little consequence having no actual power, but hey, they draw in a lot of tourism so are a good thing. T or F
33) CERN is just a pimped up Particle Accelerator. These experiments are worth the price tag, could be of great benefit to mankind one day, and there is nothing to be conCERNed about. T or F
34) Bigfoot/Sasquatch/Yeti are all myths, and misidentification if anything. There are no cryptids. T or F
35) All black project funding (the billions and trillions syphoned off of the American economy) are for the ultimate defence (and therefore benefit) of the American people. And what’s more, the people don’t need to know about them. T or F
36) Human beings last walked on the Moon during Apollo 17, in 1972. T or F
37) Politicians in power attained their power because it was the will of the voting populace. T or F
38) Politicians have the interests of the vast majority at heart (ie, the middle class and the working class). T or F
39) The Government is not watching 'us', their surveillance net is for tracking legitimate terrorist threats. T or F
40) Osama Bin Laden died in a special forces operation in Pakistan, in May 2011.
41) The Vatican, the Pope, and the Catholic Church, represent a benign religious institution, and are entirely what they appear to be on the surface.

I'm not so sure Lee Harvey Oswald had anything whatsoever to do with the JFK assassination. Yes, he was CIA, and a low-level pawn (the perfect patsy) but that doesn't mean he was involved in the assassination.
See the very outstanding documentary, Everything is a Rich Man's Trick... http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/everything-rich-man-trick/

26) There's no such thing as free energy and no one hiding it. T or F Definitely true.
FREE ENERGY MYTH
Entropy rules !
Heat moves to cold, not vice versa.
Free energy is not possible.
First, it violates the first or second law of thermodynamics, depending on how it is presented.
Second, energy is neither created nor destroyed, merely changes form.
Third, any use of “free Energy” involves friction, which is the inevitable consequence of using energy to do work. Even flying will heat up the air by friction. If humanity ever harnessed unlimited power, the Earth would be destroyed by the accumulation of waste heat. Remember, outside of the atmosphere there is vacuum. No conduction nor convection of heat is possible - all that remains is radiant energy. And it is practically impossible to radiate that much heat - or shade the planet from the Sun’s input - without wiping out life.

(Titanic, it sank right?)
its possible that the Titanic did NOT sink, and if that was the case what did sink was very likely the RMS Olympic for insurance fraud reasons (and possible political assassination at the same time)... lots of interesting theories on this one... and of course it's got the "same old players" involved... (seriously, when are we gonna drone strike THOSE guys?)
