Hi people. This is my first contribution, so if I do something wrong please forgive (and let me know!)

A number of people have been reporting on 'an explosion in CO levels' along the US Pacific Coast (San Andreas fault line), starting 24th February. Here is what appears to be a realtime report on CO levels:-

http://earth.nullschool.net/#2016/02/27/0300Z/chem/surface/level/overlay=cosc/orthographic=-90.55,44.68,461/loc=3.186,43.285

A youtube article by BPEarthWatch 28.2.16:-

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgz5D3MYySc

.. and one other report by MLordandGod 28.2.16:-

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Zukr2TEsDg

It would appear that Dr Ramesh P Singh (Professor of Physics, Chapman University and previously of The Inidian Institute of Technology in Kanpur) did much of the research on CO appearing before major earthquakes, with one particular example before the 2001 Gujarat event in which some 15-20,000 were killed:-

http://66.228.45.157/content/major-carbon-monoxide-explosion-west-coast-feb-28-2016-carbon-monoxide-may-signal-earthquake

It seems to me that, if these accounts are in fact accurate, it would be useful if Dr Singh or someone else could give a quantative comparison between the current Pacific Coast situation (apparently currently around 150 times normal levels) and the situation which preceded the Gujarat earthquake. What were the levels then?

The prediction is that an earthquake would occur within a week of the CO and CO2 spikes, and they started on 24th-26th February.

Your thoughts?

This information is useful.

Correction: the earth.nullschool.net report link is as of 27th Feb 2016.
The realtime report for CO is here:- http://earth.nullschool.net/#current/chem/surface/level/overlay=cosc/orthographic=-105.42,35.77,617
..levels somewhat diminished, but still massively elevated from anywhere else on Earth.

In 1975 the level was 0.46ppm , according to the plejaren who measured it with their highly advanced technology, they say our devices are not developed enough for exact data...

Ben Davidson of Suspicious Observers discusses it further here, on 29th February:-

Since I live within spitting distance of the san andreas fault, this got my attention. Went to earthquake site just in time see three small recent quakes in California. Grabbed phone, thinking i should call mom and dad. lol Then looked for more information. (nice little adrenaline rush, thank you)
This article chilled me down. It states it was a glitch.

UPDATED: Final Confirmation From Earth Nullschool — It’s A Re-Calibration Glitch

Earth Nullschool — the site that produces the above satellite data has listed a final confirmation. The measure used to interpret atmospheric data was in the process of being re-calibrated and produced a stronger than typical signal. In other words, high CO readings for this region were a glitch. They note:

“It’s pure coincidence that at MOPITT resumed data collection over western North America while its operating temperature was still stabilizing. Had the instrument’s temperature remained unstable for a few days, it would have looked like the whole globe was erupting gas. If MOPITT has started collecting data over the south pole, open ocean, or some other obscure location, I doubt anyone would have noticed and made a big fuss. MOPITT uses light collected in the infrared part of the spectrum. Based on Terra’s system status, the CO, CO2 and SO2 data collected by MOPITT on the 25th and 26th of February should be highly suspect. On the Earth map, the CO, CO2, and SO2 levels spike sometime between 1pm and 4pm Pacific time on Feb. 25th, which is between 2100 UTC on the 25th and 0000 UTC on the 26th. This is precisely during the time window when MOPITT’s operating temperature is still unstable.”

For Dutchsinse's report on this (too much info and too many images to post here) go to today's entry at http://dutchsinse.com/3012016-large-carbon-co-monoxide-gas-release-along-the-west-coast-a-seismic-precursor-seen-in-action/

3/01/2016 — LARGE CARBON (CO) MONOXIDE GAS RELEASE ALONG THE WEST COAST — A SEISMIC PRECURSOR SEEN IN ACTION
MARCH 1, 2016

Hundreds of my viewers have contacted me regarding a large sudden (and strange ) Carbon Monoxide gas eruption across the West Coast of the United States.

I’ve got a full video processing up now which should be out in a few hours. Until then, this text update will have to suffice :)

If you haven’t yet heard the news, on the night of February 25th, and throughout the day on February 26th, a large release of CO (Carbon Monoxide) gas was detected along with elevated levels of SO2 (sulfur dioxide) across a vast area of the West coast of the United States.

As it turns out, the readings are indeed accurate (not an anomaly), we know this due to the fact that the gas has spread out over the past 5 days since the event occurred on February 25th into 26th.

Over the course of 4 days since the event occurred, the gas spread Westward towards the midwest United States, following actual measured wind currents – proving a gas was indeed detected – proving the gas is moving with the prevailing surface winds.

Here is a screenshot of the gas 1 day after the release, fanning out across the areas to the East as the wind carried the gas towards the Rocky Mountains.
