I have two patients that have ALS. One is in a serious stadium - he even is not able to lift his hands anymore.
Both are the only two persons who had mercury levels, measured after chelatation with DMSA > 6 times of the allowed concentration.

The source for this mercury: Amalgam fillings, which broke through the radix of a tooth and than spread into the jaw.
In addition both had very much vaccinations, because they made several trips into tropical reagions of the earth.
Aluminium levels were not so high. But any combination of any heavy metals is much, much more toxic than a single burden.

I got a Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) booster shot, often called "grannie" or "nanny" shots recommended for infant caregivers. The arm in which the shot was given was paralyzed for three months, yet there was excruciating nerve pain that prevented sleep. When I could move the arm, it still failed in certain positions. And "O for Fun" as they used to say on MysteryScienceTheater3000 I developed pulmonary hypertension 2 months after the shot, a hardening of the lung tissue where the pertussis disease would be manifested. My lungs and heart were perfect before the vaccination.
