I felt this was a remote hijacking of car murder incident, so I kept reading and my jaw dropped when I read the text in bold below.
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-chesapeake-enrgy-mcclendon-accidentre-idUSKCN0WG2A7
"The former Chesapeake co-founder did tap his brakes twice after he drove 189 feet left of the center lane, but the actions did not slow his vehicle down. McClendon did not touch the brakes at all in the 31 feet before hitting the bridge, Citty said, citing data retrieved from the Tahoe's black box data recorder."
It appears that he tried to tap the break to slow down the car, without an effect on the speed, next nothing happened at all when he stepped on the break and the hack on the car did not even register any more break attempts into the black box data recorder.
But here is the polarity of the story: He tapped the break twice and the car did not slow down! It basically appears that either the black box did not receive any more break attempts because the impulse had been hacked, either that or that once he understood he had been trapped he basically just gave up. Who taps the break twice in order not to slow down the vehicle at that speed?
Another key thing in this story is this: there was an eye witness to the event!
