This is terrible terrible news! Isn't there a law that you cannot patent something from nature? As example, an apple unless it is a hybrid.
About 6 mos ago, I could not purchase the cream from the local drugstore that had hemp in it that helped my disabled Mother's knees. The manager of the store, THEN, said, its off the market. I felt my stomach sink and now with this news, we are being thrown under the bus. I hope every loudmouth celebrity and activist screams outrage.

The Obama administration is outrageously pro big pharma. This has been well documented but not well publicized. The Wall St Journal did an expose on the subject and you needed a big pharma anti-nausea pill just to make it to the end of the article. Everything from guaranteed profits, protection from losses, a seat at the table to help write the Affordable Care Act and much more. The mainstream media is doing everything in their power to shield Obama from bad press that will cause long term damage.
