I have kept it for 4-5 years now and people have offered to work on it but it always falls back in my lap. The last two names that have offered to collaborate have walked, and no offense taken. I have even posted in the past to give it up to anyone that wanted to carry on the domain but so far its still a young site working with my limited abilities. If someone took a look at it and made suggestions it would be great to get some feedback on how to make it a better website. Thank you. Just like my youtube channel never put advertising on it but maybe thats the way to go?

Hi mojo
I would suggest foremost to put up fresh content and update with new content regularly.
This will not only increase visibility and ranking to search engines but it makes it also more interesting.
I would advise to visit similar websites and compare it with yours.
Take the viewpoint of a visitor who is interested in UFOs. What would he like to find?

If you go on Freelancer.com or Fiverr you can find Indian and Indonesian web designers who will help you improve the look of a site, and make suggestions.
Just put a project proposal up, with clear instructions, and you'll get replies within 10 minutes.
I would learn CSS and make the buttons look better.

Expand the galactic back round, lighten up a hue or two, show a few meteors moving through or galactic spiral w/Nibiru presence. Lots of stuff but I'd just go with the first 3.

Hi Mojo
A couple of very simple ideas and observations (mostly for generating traffic)
If you don't generate traffic you can't really accomplish your objective, so there are some very easy things you can do.
1. Add something relevant to a discussion on every site you can, the bigger the site the better (i.e. huffington post) at the end leave a link to your site.
2. Don't take Facebook lightly, it can be an extremely valuable tool for generating a great deal of traffic. Sign up ASAP for a FB account with the same name as the site. Grab the prewritten code from FB and put it on your site.
3. Link your site to pinterest (if you are going to use any photos) it will be slow to take off but when it does you will be surprised at the number of visitor it will generate.
4. Post your site on stumble upon every once in a while. Read the rules if you do this too much they will shut you down.
5. Keywords, keywords, keywords use them and understand them.
6.. Use twitter (I hate it but it is useful) to generate traffic, try instagram
7. Use as much social media as possible
8. Sign up for a free email account like feedburner, get the code and put a sign up box on your site.
9. Find the code that automatically post to twitter, facebook etc every time you post on your site. Will save a great deal of time and generate instant traffic.
10. Figure out how often you want to post stories or information. Try to stick with the schedule. Post at the same time, I have found morning best. You can schedule your post ahead of time, month, day week and hour.
Don't be afraid to radically change your template, there are thousands of free ones for WP. (I am not saying you should just saying you can do it easily).
There is a lot more you can do but these are just a few ideas that will definitely generate traffic. Once you get the infrastructure set up and post regularly the amount of time you need to invest in the site substantially decreases.
I apologize in advance if your already doing these things, my aim is to be helpful.

Thanks to all that offered help. There's a lot of good feedback and really appreciate it and think I learned some good things. Plus I have been watching some youtube videos on how to make a good website, hopefully will be able to adopt some of the ideas you all posted...cheers

I forgot to mention the price. On Freelancer and other sites you can easily get a web designer for only 5USD per hour. Well within most people's budget. I pay 5USD and up. There are many for wordpress as it's a popular platform. They can teach techniques if you get stuck.... Best money I ever spent.
