HUGE story breaking regarding rampant corruption in the oil industry....

There's a HUGE story breaking at the moment involving corruption in the oil industry and a company in the middle of it all called UnaOil. It could potentially involve literally EVERY player in the industry, the way things are looking...Well worth keeping an eye on.

Is there anyone out there who honestly believes this isn't just business as usual for the oil industry? Bribes? Ha! I've read over the years of far worse being done. Unfortunately, with the amount of money they are able to throw around and politicians and media they own, they have been quite adept at sweeping all of the huge numbers of crimes and scandals under the rug. Will this one be any different? We shall see...

I think the main difference is that, now that it's out in the open, it'll be much more difficult to sweep under the rug. UnaOil already tried to stop Fairfax (the owners of The Age newspaper that broke this story) from publishing their expose without success. I'm wondering how far this will go, personally....

Also, for this story to even be out there, someone powerful somewhere must want it out. I wonder Who this may be, and why??

My personal guess is that it's something like a mafia turf war so it's probably a rival company or clandestine organization (CIA type). One crime family gets offended about another crime family stepping on their turf so they call the cops and rat them out, and/or leak some condemning documents, to try to hurt their competition. I, too, am interested to see how far it goes this time. Thanks and keep it coming.

Ah, the quaint "new age" utopian dream! Or, another way to put it is "hope and two dollars will buy you a cup of coffee".

No offence intended. We all believe in hope for the future but too often the dark side has taken advantage of this naive hope among good people and reinforced the belief that we should turn the other cheek. Thank God, we've grown up a bit and now know better!
