Looking back upon my journey the last few years... as I moved in the direction of deep awakening, I found myself entangled with the most amazing people. They seemed to teach me a language... well, a language style that seemed to point to "something." Something that always felt important yet remained ever so elusive.
That was then...
this is now
some may enjoy this (I sure did)

Just remember, this video was released April 1st... & JP is the KING of flat satire....
I love his videos.. especially the ones about Gluten and Veganism. His Ultra dry delivery and ultra smooth sarcasm is the only way to become ultra spiritual with out direct guru promotion (which can be achieved via a gluten free diet).
I can't believe he stayed in character the whole hour... haha

It is funny, but the laughter fades incredibly quickly. Doing what these guys do is kind of like putting the head into the sand and then concluding the head is now in the sand. It is funny, but a bit soul raping as well. Kind of lame, the cloudy self indulging shallowness can help to mislead. In my view spirituality is something that should be left at peace and not be messed with.

I think you missed the whole point.. it's a spot on satirical highlight of a subset of people that feel they are "superior" to other people because of X or Y or Z... Veganism suffers this, Spirituality too, hell even "sciencism" suffers from this...
his satire is on the fake spiritual people, not the real ones... if the dart hit too close to home you may have missed some of the subtle jokes... for example he starts this interview with some statment like "Not to brag, but I'm far more humble than you are".... and continues with these contradictory statements that shed light on the whole "California spiritual movement"
I guess if you have to break down the comedy it's clearly not working... i guess you see it or don't, personally I think he's spot on; there are so many deluded individuals out there & him poking fun at them is not only great, but necessary.

Spot on target, Target.
Even good satire can be satirized as even satire has a cloak.
Nothing is beyond satirization. When one figures out why that is, then one has a clue to the makeup of all things.

Two thumbs up for his concepts of spirituality and the purpose of the path of emotional awakening and awareness .....delivered with the freedom of humour to accept, reflect or set aside..............Great Wisdom IMHO :-)

I thought he made a good point and each time he would make it (in its own unique way) was refreshing and certainly 30 minutes of this is nothing compared to the thousands of hours I have endured from the psuedo-spritual.
More JP!??!
Here ya go - enjoy

I am glad I read the posts before I started the video. This is pretty funny. Just the first few minutes easily shows the ego playing "humbly"... funny, funny, funny................

How often do we endure such? My question to myself is... how long have I sat and listened (mesmerized by the guru, et. al.) sometimes thinking "I get it" and sometimes wondering, "when will I?"
JP does a good job in his own way in highlighting this aspect of the enlightenment game. He also points out the "cha-ching" aspect of the same game.
Am I saying there is no such thing as enlightenment (if we must use a word to point). No, in fact I am enlightened and those who have experienced my posts and more are well aware that I am truly, certifiably, stark, raving enlightened.
But worse, sometimes I am "in your face" enlightened.

Enlightenment is a state that no one governs and no one is in.
A stateless state in which this statement is nonexistent.

What I enjoy regarding good spiritual humor is that it gets to the point without necessarily getting to the point.

Dude you are so right.
I laugh my ass off everytime a spirituality thread opens up. Especially spirituality because the only people who know ANYTHING are those that realize they know NOTHING as such the folks starting spirituality threads are by fault saying I know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING because I think I know something. :) LOL did that make any sense?
You are correct also on how superiority creeps its way into the creeps its way into the picture which is the absolute biggest hallmark of someone who doesn't have a spiritual efn clue.
