First, government war on tiny house/rv living http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?89928-US-Government-Declaring-All-Out-War-on-Tiny-House-Living&p=1059341&viewfull=1#post1059341, and now this ... war on farmers markets ... OMG
Need to keep cool  but 'tis getting darn ridiculous ...
Virginia Department of Agriculture Consumer Services (VDACS) is siccing the local health departments upon your local farmers markets to require permits and food sanitation inspections from any vendors selling food items or merely slicing a vegetable and offering as a sample to customers.
It seems that inspecting restaurant facilities has become boring and too troublesome to inspect once a year: now efforts are underway to monitor and target those little farmers and home-based food entrepreneurs.

So many things trigger me these days and that is one.
Not in the mood ... but thank you.
Really amazing how in our face things are becoming.

Yes, I agree that "it seems too much". And that is exactly the response our 'owners' want. Rile up the masses so that they are too confused, distraught and angry to pay attention to what is Really happening. Particularly, if something AMAZING happens. They think that by keeping the masses in a tizzy, Humanity won't have the wherewithal to 'rise to the occasion', when that time comes. I beg to differ.
Remember - you create your Reality through your beliefs, thoughts and expectations. Humanity is FAR more than what it's Ever been 'told' it 'is'. But the immediate future is going to get a bit rocky, especially for those who don't have a clue as to who or what they really are, and haven't reconnected with All that they Are. Even those who understand much of the current goings-on will have a tough time, and I include myself in that group.
But, I do 'keep the faith' that ALL is as it should be. Remain free of fear, for that is the great inhibitor of awakening your greater self, and know that everyone else is here to accomplish exactly the same thing that You are here for.

This is the best part of all this ... to help us realize who we really are, both individually and collectively.

There was a story on MSM that Walmart intends to do two things: (1) offer "cage free" eggs by 2020 and (2) lower egg prices.
Now let's take a look at this. Walmart (evil incarnate) offers "cage free" eggs. What in the hell is a "cage free" egg? Note they are not offering eggs from cage free hens. Just "cage free" eggs.
Walmart is losing market share. People are raising their own backyard chickens and buying from Farmer's Markets. Who is better to ensure that the "sheeple" are free from rampant ecoli and salmonella infections that old Wally World? The largest rural employer in the US!
I just ordered 100 Americauna (blue eggs) chicks for Spring. I have done so, with the intention of offering the eggs for sale at the Lexington Farmer's Market. Now I am not so sure. We are also the only producers of Maple Syrup in Kentucky. Wonder if Canada is going to come after us.
This is sickening. A war against basic Agrarian values and lifestyles. Gotta keep the corporate machine oiled.
Amandacate - thank you for your valuable contributions. Its easy for us to focus on the "ether world" whilst the "real world" is on fire. Kudos!

Hello Everyone:
Health inspectors were sent out in droves to corral all the contaminated produce and food vendors sold at farmers markets here years ago. They found nothing so they came up with a rule book that makes everyone be inspected and follow the only rules...Theirs!
The rules state you have to buy a year permit or contact the health inspection department before the event and give all details. If you do not contact them you cannot be in the event. Period.
Who said we were free? Who said we had a choice?

....
The USDA claims that a chicken with access to the outdoors is 'cage free'. By their definition a single chicken, 10,000 chickens deep, is 'cage free' if the door is open beyond those 10,000 chickens that block his path. That single chicken has little to zero chance to make it out the door, but by golly, it is 'cage free'! Your government, here to help any way it can. The same government that sends a 10 man SWAT team to destroy a farmers raw milk reserve. Or the benevolent government that makes it illegal to claim that eating cherries relieves the symptoms of gout. And on and on and on..........
